Just popping in to say hello...

... you'll not have me today as uunofficial illustrator at large...

Be gone the whole day and most of the evening.

But I'll be back for the nite shift probably... maybe...

So... no slackers now!!!! Lets get it crackin' for the 20,000th posting this weekend!!!!

TAKE WHAT YA CAN!!!

We MAY end up skipping one or both formal nights...
DPartner and I were talking about it, and we did formal night on our 7 night, and it was just so much extra stuff (and that was just for the 2 of us! I can't imagine for the 2 of us and a child!) But as the time gets closer, I may change my mind. Being that we'll be on our first vacation as a family with a child, it sure would be nice to get one nice picture of us all fancied up!

Other than wanting the picture though, I think I could probably just skip it and go for the buffet just to avoid having to get all dressed up and do the hair and the makeup and the jewelrey and the ironing and such...

We'll see...

There is one for DMC too ...which I am sure there will be one for AWE by the time we cruise ...

We could do all three ...but would it be better on Deck 9 ? or in the theater ??? Run them all together ...8 hours of movies ?? or do 3 nights ????

What say You ?

pirate:

Too bad we couldn't make Pirate night into Pirate day and play them back to back before Dinner (i.e. all day). But with the ratings being PG-13, day time won't work in a very public area like Deck 9.

Over 3 nights wouldn't be bad, probably best to spread them out and have them on a night that the next day is a sea day.

As for the Theatre, I'm guessing you mean the Walt theatre, correct? With this crowd, we may fill the normal movie theatre. :rotfl:

I had to post to get out of the bottom of the posting listing....don't think I will ever catch up though, trying but it's not working:rotfl2:

Can't wait to meet everyone and see some familiar faces too!

Bernadette

You can always read the summaries on Page 1! Keep posting! :thumbsup2

I think if I tried to do 8 hours of movies in a theatre I'd blow my brains out. We could do it over three nights - I'm fine with either venue.

Hey ChrizJen,
Just got back from getting blood drawn and the calendar in the little blood sucking room had the Hokey Pokey saying on it. It was a little bit of DIS to brighten a not so fun moment of the day. Although, the girl was good with the needle.

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes for my DD, Nicolette, shell really appreciate it.:)

Now that I'm caught up, I got a couple of genuine out loud chuckles this morning. The comment about what the wenches truly think of the men....parisites! :lmao:

And the post about DH taking all the pics from Shutters. "Oh we have to buy them?" :rotfl2: I could see my own DH saying that! Too funny!

Captain, I think that it would probably be better split into different nights. Maybe 2 different nights?? :confused3

And I think that for the sake of effect, it would probably be better in the theater, I would imagine. But since I haven't been on a cruise since just BEFORE They put in the outdoor big screen, I'm also REALLY excited about movies under the stars!! :yay:

Do you think we can get the activities folks to allow us to do that? How would we go about requesting it? I'm sure it will have to be requested in advance of the cruise??? :confused3

EEEwww...I hate that! :scared: Very rarely do I ever get a vampire who knows how to draw blood from someone with deep, small veins...SO I always get the "poke and dig"...:sad2:

Anyway, my Hokey Pokey saying came from a bumper sticker I've had on my car for about 2 years...When I saw it, I KNEW I had to put it on my car!! :thumbsup2

Here's a question for the repo vets...Would you say that there is a higher percentage of people that dress up on formal nights on the longer cruises? We were on a 7 night and there were people near us at dinner (on formal night) in shorts. Many others in semi dressy attire--but definitely not formal. Now, I have to say....it didn't bother me in the least, and I really don't care if people dress up or not...I was just curious.

I have no clue on how we could arrange this on the ship ....But since I am going on the Aug Med Repo I could be sure to ask ...Then again somoene on here might already know ...I know someone mentioned the PJ party and if they can do that then I am sure that we could arrange with someone on the ship .... This would be too funny ....If we did this some other night then Pirate Night then I guess we could all dress up again , so your costume would be worn more then once .....LOL

I've said it before and I'll say it again....Diet Dr. Pepper is my vice. I haven't tried Coke Zero, though. My husband, who is a Pepsi-aholic rates Cherry Coke as a close second. He is having a hard time making the switch to Diet. He said he saw an advertisement for Cherry Coke Zero. Has anyone tried that?

ugh! I absolutely hate Dr. Pepper of ANY fashion! Pepsi here, though I do prefer a good root beer, cream soda or better yet: Stewart's Key Lime mmmmmmm

What I also hate is ordering giner ale and getting served that crappy Coke-Sprite mixture

because they don't carry real ginger ale!!!

I think with a cruise like this ...15 days and alot of these people being DIS , I think that the percentage of people dressing Formal is going to go way up ...Just like Pirate Night ..People dressing up for that will be way up just cause of the amount of repeat cruisers ..

Here's the response I got from DU re: DCL assigning staterooms:

I have spoken directly with DCL and they tell me that they have not begun assigning staterooms for the Eastbound Repo.

I am told that they are uncertain as to when that will happen.

AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why does this NOT surprise me - DCL can't even give out correct info to the TA's!

Hellman's is knowns as BestFoods West of the Rockies. It even says so on the Hellman's website in itty bitty print at the bottom. :)

Ahhhhh, that's why we were getting those labels for a while. DH thought I was going to pull a fast one. I kept telling him, "It's the same, It's the same (as I hunted for that frying pan to clock him with  ).

Little background on the mayo thing in our house.....First off, DH & I very rarely raise our voices with eachother. Never have since the day we met, other than a sentence or two. And, even then, we usually giggle after.

Well, when we were first married I bought Cain's Mayo. Hey, that's what I grew up with and I'm not a big mayo fan anyway, so my thinking is, they're all the same, right :confused3 . NOT!!! DH informs me I MUSt buy Hellman's 'cause that's what his MOMMMY always used  . So, next time, what do I do - I buy Cain's again. Not on purpose, mind you. It's just something I did absent mindedly. Well, when DH saw it, he takes it, WHIPS it in the trash with super-human force and starts going on this tirade (in some very colorful language) about this whole Hellman's thing. I react by calling him a big baby and it just gets uglier from there. To this day it is, by far, the worst argument we have ever got into. All over Hellman's vs Cain's :rotfl: :rotfl:

THe funny thing is, now the only mayo I will eat is Hellman's.
