True, Did our Disgeeks 12/9 ones with the Inkjet and an Iron. As long as you use good paper they come out pretty good...

Did you use the iron-on transfers? Are they any better now than when I used them several years ago? (Those were almost like putting some of that clear-contac stuff on the shirts!)

I agree with 100% about the 10yo - most of them aren't ready to hang with the MS kids. I'm actually kind of worried about my DS - he'll be 13 1/2 when we cruise and I think I have more problems with the "free" atmosphere of The Stack (or is it Aloft? I get them confused). I was just talking to him again tonight about him meeting kids online before we go. He's looking forward to that.

Exactly.
I'll be honest, I'm not exactly keen on my then 14yr old being in the group with the up to 18yr olds (17, yes... but some could be just shy of turning 18!) I'd totally be in agreement with the age groups changed to 8-10 and then 11-13. I think it would match better with the MAJORITY of the kids' maturity levels, what age children they are used to having as peers in school, etc. Ofcourse that still wouldn't help my 14yr old... but I still think it would be better.
Hopefully she'll mature a lot more by then, otherwise she may be a little bored on the next cruise and probably spending a lot of time in the OC and spending money in the arcade or something. *sigh* She is TOTALLY not the type of kid to want to just "hang out" -but I did read some of the activities on the DCL website and she'd probably enjoy some of the scheduled activities- but when it comes to some of them, I'M not going to agree to them! For instance over my dead BODY will she be doing the dancing to moonlight activity. I saw that with my own eyes on the last cruise- because I happened to go to that deck to write in my journal while my family slept. Uhuh, no way am I letting her participate in the dirty dancing to moonlight activity. NO WAY.

She is adorable! We have an very active DIS Meet schedule here in DFW and Ohanna Fmaily is usually there too. We have on on the 18th. I will tell Kathy you said "Hi".

Thank You. I met her when she came all the way to Boston for a meet. Actually, I think she just happened to be here on business at the same time, but fun, none the less.

more talk like that and I'm going to have to take away your Type A planner pin or something. Listen, if I could already have the stuffed packed, I would. Unfortunately I have no clue what size any of us will be wearing by that time. :rotfl:

I had a 13 year old that was in the stack and he had a great time, found othe kids his age, and hung with them. he didn't mess with the older kids and his group had a good time. Although that was when we learned that we need to install crewfew. I woke up one night and it was 2 am and he wasn't in the room, so i woke DH up and made him go look for him. He was hanging out on Deck 5 with a bunch of other kids. After that we said when the stack closes, that is it.

At times I think the stack splits the kids into age groups for various activities. I know when he went as a 15 things were different ..
