The Groundhog did NOT see his shadow today, and EARLY Spring is on it's way!!!

We have snow here on eastern Long Island, it looks beautiful out (says she who is off from work today!)

Just got off the phone with my mom again, she said a tree went through my aunt and uncle's house.

A man in the area stopped my uncle and asked if he had seen his daughter and son-in-law, the couple's mobile was thrown into one of the local lakes. Sad, very, very sad.

OMG, I am so sorry to hear this but glad your Aunt and Uncle and MoM are okay, very scarey!

Because it's Colombia and some folks are in positions where personal foreign travel is monitored and depending on the country, frowned upon or perhaps even not permissible. Scratch that, you could go, but you may not be working on the same thing as when you left! Hence the proposal for a "Stuck on the ship in Cartagena" drinking group!

We use cloth diapers but decided that it wasn't going to be too fun to have to wash them while on the ship or at WDW. So we used disposables for the first time since leaving the hospital and yeah, by the end of the cruise we had plenty of space for the booty gathered on the trip!

us too!! - we had her in cloth - but used Tushies for the cruise - (OT - a week before the cruise we had a wind storm that knocked power out for 5 days, so we broke into the disposables and had to get to the natural food store for more - which was always iffy...anyway..that was a rough week...we NEEDED the cruise by then!)

I drove from SoCal to SF once...when I was young and foolish! NO WAY would I attempt that again! I've made my last long distance drive...if it's more than 4 hours, I've gotta fly!

This will be our first time flying for a cruise. We drive 11 hours to get to PC.

They were okay .....for some reason they were better at night ...but that could have been because of the Rum

Oh, I've driven it many, many times. When my DL withdrawl kicks in, I hit the road. One year I hadn't seen the holiday decorations yet, and it was bugging me so bad. We left Sat morning, spent the afternoon and next morning in the park, then drove home Sunday afternoon. I've done tons of Friday after work to Sunday afternoon trips too.

Before we found WDW we had season passes to BG in Wbrg. We use to get in the car at 5 am or earlier and drive up for the day... 3 1/2 hours each way. We have stayed until 8/9 pm and driven home. We have also stayed overnight and gone to BG two days. We haven't been back since 12/3 when we went to WDW.

The reports and video on CNN are horrible. The road to my uncle's place has been blocked off, he can't get back to his place at this time to remove the tree from his house.

Andy, Glad your Mom is ok. Those storms were wicked last night.Had us up til around 6am.I guess that's what caused the phones around here to go wacky at 430 this am.
That is all that was on the news last night and this am. Apparently there were a few tornadoes and many people over 20000 without power.Lady Lake took a big hit as did Deland and New Smyrna Beach.The live feeds are startling.You can see the line it took thru the neighborhoods.

I turned in just before alsodarn it. I was going to try to go for it was was too tired.
But I was rudely awakened by my phones going crazy. They just kept ringing and ringing and there was a fax type tone on the other end
Have I entered the Pirate Zone?????????

We disconnected the phones. Called Sprint er rather now they are "Embarq" and when I finally got thru they asked me if I heard BELLS RINGING???
Yes, but now the phones are dead!!!!
Please disconnect your phones to stop the ringing and we have someone in the area.......No eta...Great

The vonage phone still works. Funny thing was we were talking about cutting off the land line last night to eliminate another bill. But this is the final straw, and we will be flipping the phone# over to the V phone and stop this maddness!!!!

Just needed to vent.Scared the **** out of us. We thought we'd need the brown pants

Now to try to get back to sleep after that rush.Good thing no work for me.

I guess we got a good deal then Susan. I did find out yesterday that the 3rd and 4th person in our room was 1353.24 each, the first two people were 2253.24 each. We'll just take our chances and see where we wind up, at least we got on the ship!!!

You did good, Andy. Our cat 8 is 2738.24 for DH & myself & 1163.24 for each of the kids. That is AFTER the 10%. This was at 9:15 am.
