Hey, if Ntwine is still on the ship, let's do that in RNBD...we would at least sound better than them. :lmao:

You haven't heard me sing, but I understand what you mean about Ntonguetwined. I'd have rather listened to scratched CDs being played... backwards.

I highly recommend contacting David & Ivan in Costa Maya for a tour of the ruins. We highly enjoyed the tour and would like to go back some day. :thumbsup2

We seriously thought about using them on this past October's DD. But, DD is only 7 and DH thought she'd be bored. We were debating renting a golf cart, though, and heading down the main stretch to find a nice place on the beach.:)

Our plans are up in the air, depending on finances. Depending on overtime DH gets and bonus checks (and how much they are!) -either we won't be doing anything until this cruise, or we may either go to WDW for a trip (we have 9 days left on our 10 day WDW tickets) or if finances go really well, we may take a trip to Jamaica (entire family this time) this summer. We'll see. Worst case scenario- we just spend our summer in the backyard in the pool. It could be worse!

Wow! The girl that said that she was beaten up really has a great voice! :thumbsup2

I couldn't believe that they didn't let her thru...then brought her back again. It will be interesting to see how she does.

I'll second that! We did a tour with Ivan back before he and David formed their company and it was fantastic! Probably one of the best excursions we have ever been on. We were there in Oct 2004 and DCL had only stopped there a few times before - it was a replacement port for Grand Cayman after hurricane Ivan stopped the ships from going there for several months.

LOL! Hey! If you KNOW THE WORDS TO THE SONG you will be better than they are. :lmao: I just couldn't get over the fact that they were up on stage in RNBD flipping the pages to the music so they could read the words as they sang them. They had been there a couple months already. :sad2:

Were neighbors - Im in 5522.

I love 5520 but with 4 of us for 15 nights - I really need that extra trunk that 5522 has.

Hi neighbor.... I promise we won't bang on the walls too much ;)

I'd would have liked 5522 also (for the trunk) but hey like there's a bad SPH...

We stayed in 5520 on the Dec DD... We had plenty of room and figured out where to stash stuff to maximize space...

To add to my previous post - when we went in Oct2004 - DS was 5 and there were several other DIS kids who were part of our group that did the tour. The kids all seemed pretty interested and Ivan was able to keep their attention for the most part. When it wandered, there was plenty of room for them to run around a bit without annoying anyone. Even though that was nearly 2.5 years ago, DS still remembers it and tells people about the ruins he saw.

It was fabulous! We booked with them with 92 DISers. One bus had a bunch of kids on it. My DD6 was facinated with everything and is still telling us facts about how the avitars lived in the ruins and they are 3000 years old. The best part of the experience for all of us was actually stopped in the nearby village of Chakoben to hand out school supplies to the children there. It was very humbling for adults and my kids helped to hand out things as well. When DS8 got on the bus he was overwhelmed & cried because we had made the kids so happy with pencils and paper. He wants to do more to help kids like that now.

pirate: WELCOME ABOARD KRISTA AND LYNN - AND YOUR FAMILIES!!!!pirate:

we will just be taking local, long weekend trips - DH is out of town often enough to earn free stays at Hilton hotel group here and there. We will probably revisit some places we haven't been to since DD was younger - Niagara Falls, Darien Lake, Hershey.....we also try to do a long weekend during the summer by tagging along with my DH when he goes to MD/DC for work.

I like the info about the lanyards - I wasn't crazy about the DCL one - especially the plastic card part...if we don't get something special - I am going to use the idea of getting a replacement for that part! Thank you!!

Once again - thank you Lisa for all the hard work!!!:)

I wish I could promise my monsters wont disturb you - LOL. But you have my word I will try to keep their banging to a bare minimum

I have 5520 for Thanksgiving 2007 - I figured for a week I can wing it. And your right no bad SPR's.

Wasn't it great! We visited the Kindergarden in 2004 since DS was in Kindergarden then. When I first thought about doing it, I talked to him about taking supplies to a school where they needed them and he looked at me with a confused expression and asked "Why don't they just go to Walmart?" That decided it for me - we definitely needed to do it! It was a great experience for him to see that many people do not live the same way we do here.

Wow!!! I think we'll be doing the tour with those guys in Costa Maya. DH and I have been to most of the ruins on the Yucatan Peninsula and I'd hate to miss this one a second time!
