RM I often wondered the same thing between a 5 and a 6?
Location is the only difference between 5 & 6.

I still have my runner number someplace. I am going to have to dig it out & post it.Somehow there weren't very many of us on CC first thing on our first stop last cruise. The people didn't know why they booked a DD.
Questions for repeat EB Reepers or West Coast cruisers.
1. What port/terminal are we sailing out of in LA?
SAN PEDRO you will not miss it you will see the Magic clearly
2. If we use DCL transportation, where do they pick you up from?
Last time LAX and DISNEYLAND HOTELS
3. Does DCL use their normal buses or just lease some generic ones on the West Coast?
LAST TIME IT WAS DISNEYLAND BUSES
4. Is there a car rental place near the LA port?
PASS: I THINK SO PEOPLE DID RENT CARS
5. What is the Terminal like in LA? Is it similar to Port Canaveral? Do they do the numbering system? If anyone has a picture, that would be great.
A modern proffesional one, no style like DCL port C, but they did inflate a big Mickey on the roof. It reminds me of most Airports, lots of space, and usual check ins for casterway members, non residents etc.
Numbering system I think was first introduced here and then PC followed.

It was one of the gifts you got in your stateroom every so often something would turn up, the Panama book, this photo, note it shows the adjusted ports, not Cabo, it was printer after the hurriciane made us miss Cabo,
This is a picture of CEO and Captain Tom on the bridge of the Magic during the PC tansit and it was free! Nice one!
I have the funniest story about dressing in Church. 3 years ago at DD's first holy communion - we are all dressed to the nines, she is stunning from head to toe and all of a sudden I hear all these people talking in the row behind us about a mohawk. I turn around to see who they are talking about and to my shock it was my 7 year old nephew. I wanted to die. I said to my sister - why did you let him do that - her reply was - he wanted it - I said couldnt he have waited til tomorrrow. OMG I was mortified. It was the standard joke in our family that the next year at my nephews communion we were all going to show up in Mohawks so my other sister would realize what we were making the fuss about.
Andrew,
Thanks for the answers.
One more questions:
Are there any hotels near the port that offer transportation to the port?
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks for posting so much info and the great pictures. If for some reason DCL doesn't live up to the last repo's there are going to be a lot of mighty upset DIS'ers on board threatening mutiny!
Now that is cool!![]()
Is there someone who is pretty caught up with the tread...or a couple people who can rotate days maybe...who can pm any new arrivals to welcome them to the group & direct them to the first post for the post summaries & website info along with the banners? TIA!

I really wouldn't worry about this, I have only read about it happening once and usually DCL is very good at managing capacity on its cruise to ensure full at sailing day, last time I had a GTY for the repo allocated about two months in advance, didnt here of anyone being bumped off and there was some availability at the and when people didnt pay up, I spoke to one guy who booked just three months before the cruise.
They also auctioned a CAT 9 room last time for Disney charity on EBAY it went for $19k+ and Roy Disney got on, they must keep rooms back for that, and maybe DCL staff who book relatives on the cruise at a discount could be bumped off?

OMG That is hysterical........did ya get even![]()
I wouldnt worry about 2008 not being as good as 2005 - DCL will step up and if anything 2008 will be even better. They went above and beyond in 2005 and Im sure they will again.
I'll do my best to help out Lisa when I can, I've been trying to greet the newcomers as they post their announcement as being a part of this cruise.
Bumping a CM at a discounted rate does happen more frequently than you might like to think. My brother is a CM in Florida and we've only sailed with him once. (Didn't happen to us.) That is a HUGE caveat when sailing that way...the the $$$ savings and included tips at times are tempting, but I cannot begin to imagine the heartache of watching the ship sail away!![]()
