Barb told me that amongst the TA's (who had their own waiting lists from clients) were ablt to fill pretty much every cabin that was cancelled (by changing the names) over the last two days.

I guess that makes sense. Oh well, we are stuck with our room...but at least we have a room number & it is forward where we like to be.

i hope there weren't any childen around!.....while adult themes can
be playful and fun..some places should be off limits. disney and its
properties. it makes me think how important the characters are.....
the bottom line for me, they are precious to my kids and therefore
desrving of respect and protection.....underneath, there are real
people bringing/giving them life. i can't understand adults stealing
these special lil' childhood memories..yuck, and shame on any adult
seeking this inappropirate attentions. c'mom leave he kids alone!

Lil' Grumpy I also had the picture you are talking about emailed to me & I just wanted to ease your mind a bit. I believe the picture was actually taken at Mardi Gras and not Disney Land. Notice the people all around them are wearing the Mardi Gras beads? Those scoundrels are most definitely getting the attention they are seeking.

Just my $.02, I like the bracelet idea better. I don't do lanyards.

LOL! I think that on all our cruises & WDW trips I have worn a lanyard one day....and that was only for our group tour in CM with my DIS buttons.

Barefoot and sneaks do not go together...

You also wouldn't want to go on the ruins tour or where you would find mud in sandals.

Hello, again! This is just an FYI for everyone. The place where we can get the rubber braclets made would run around .50 each. There are adult & kid's sizes available. They could be mailed out so you can have them before the cruise. I figure that an order of 600-700 should cover this group, allowing for people to order 2 each just in case since it is such a low cost. These are the designs that we used last time so they are on file. I think that one should be a skull & crossbones for Pirates.

Lisa, I really like the bracelet idea. I did pins for our last cruise but it's true that nobody really wore them after the first meet so it didn't really help to identify dissers.

I'll do my best to help out Lisa when I can, I've been trying to greet the newcomers as they post their announcement as being a part of this cruise.

If DCL did overbook, which I think they may have, I imagine they're expecting cancellations. I imagine there will be and it'll workout w/18 months until sailing. But, if it was overbooked, wonder what it'd take in terms of an offer from DCL to get some one to voluntarily bump? For me, I don't think even a free back to back Eastern/Western Caribbean would do it. Not the same. We're doing the EB Canal due to kids missing no school days, but if they said something like, "If you switch to the WB Panama, we'll give you a free stateroom, plus a 2 Cat upgrade, pick up your tips and give you $1,000 OBC", I'd probably miss you guys a lot come August.

I would have to say the same thing along with "I am withdrawing my kids to home school them the rest of the year to the principal.

Maureen you know it's funny, at my DD's First Reconciliation some of the little girls were dressed to the nine with updos and everything. We were dressed in regular nice church clothes and we felt like slouches. I can't imagine how those in sweats must have felt yesterday. Anyway, a few years later it was DS's turn, and well, he dressed nice, but he absolutely refused to get an UPDO!

I have the funniest story about dressing in Church. 3 years ago at DD's first holy communion - we are all dressed to the nines, she is stunning from head to toe and all of a sudden I hear all these people talking in the row behind us about a mohawk. I turn around to see who they are talking about and to my shock it was my 7 year old nephew. I wanted to die. I said to my sister - why did you let him do that - her reply was - he wanted it - I said couldnt he have waited til tomorrrow. OMG I was mortified. It was the standard joke in our family that the next year at my nephews communion we were all going to show up in Mohawks so my other sister would realize what we were making the fuss about.

Imust say it was nice to have casterway club lanyards in August 2006 and everyone said you to 'welcome back' I must have been a litle slow at topsiders where I received my first 'welcome back' I said how do you know? The lanyard of course, it was a DCL very nice touch for repeat cruisers! Every CM did it first day.

Oh Yes ...Run for the Hammocks ...I can hear it now ....the Charriots of Fire playing in the Background ....Pirate Flags being held up high ...kids getting knocked over ....Oh Yes , I remember the run for the Hammocks ....do we need to start handing out runners numbers and have a starters pistol ??

I still have my runner number someplace. I am going to have to dig it out & post it. Somehow there weren't very many of us on CC first thing on our first stop last cruise. The people didn't know why they booked a DD.
