Tracy - how do you have a "little" chat with Cheryl? Mine always end up at least an hour!!! :lmao:

Pamela

Are you implying Cheryl may be long winded?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I happen to be on the phone with Cheryl. Thought she would help with the crawl. :lmao:

Before we knew it 4 hours had gone by :scared1:

My phone made it the 4 hours, but barely :rotfl: :rotfl: Love ya Cheryl :goodvibes

Now don't you all feel sorry for me. I've been going at this for 40 years. At least you get to hang up.
 Got to luv her though.

Congrats Tom on the pirate: :worship: . Too bad Cheryl is out spending again, she would have made a run for it.

John

darn its ..tooooo cold! ok?, who's has their nakie-rugby shirt?

...oh, is this a "pick~up"..game of touch? :goodvibes

awhile back..someone mentioned pole dancers, is that a special wenches'

activity? [ just need to plan ahead....for my camera batteries...].

got gAme? swabbies! :wizard:

dear mismce...i didn't get the interest?...in old' johnny depp.....pic.?

..are you trying to encourage the swabbies to change into..something
more comfortable? fyi, if i can have my other, i rather be judging the
"wenches on parade"....pics!

us?...the way things work...i pass on the info. and my lil'sweetie nods
her head...my guess...we'll be packing the night before...like always,

:scared1: ! [ unless we're wearing our nakie...rugby shirts..all week,
then we're already....to go! :thumbsup2 ] of course, that might put-off
any fellow diners . :sad1: ].

however, we 've been glancing over...the dcl's excursions.....some we may
split..our lil'band...esp. after my lil'sweetie saw....the ability to "rock climb"
assigned to the zipper line....

dear dahuffy..i know that look! no honey, " i have no idea..who got into
the girl scout cookies". i did see a shadowy character outside...with the
giant letter "C"....on his...cape, the boards..are calling him mr. crash, the
"guilty bandit". funny thing, she didn't think...it was worth a chuckle.

....i'll be back, after sweeping the crumbs under the bed. :3dglasses
interesting...they sorta form....a half-moon. who could that be? not
your ordinary crum ~ bum! pirate:

...crash? you have friends in hauwii ?....i missed our old "jam" days....
& the traditional musical instruments...my pals used to play....one was
liked a "fish"..with ridges...& a carved stick. it may sounded strange
however, these old carved....instruments made up....some pixiedust: 's
memories.

.........those were the days. :dance3:

Quite honestly, it would make a lot more sense for DS to be in school and learning about Dr. King than to have the day off and be at Chuck E Cheese with my parents! I really don't get the point of these types of days off for school kids (also Columbus Day, President's Day, etc.)

Pamela (pdarrah)

Well, true enough . . . although we have a tradition in my family of making a birthday cake for Dr King (unfortunately he can't be here to share it) and talking about him . . . many years ago one of my sisters lived in Atlanta and we took the girls to see the Ebenezer Baptist church, Dr King's childhood home, and his memorial/tomb . . . then we took a day trip into Montgomery, Alabama, and saw the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church and the Civil Rights Memorial . . . the two older ones still remember all of this.

I think in general short school holidays are more for mental health breaks for students and teachers alike, but as long as we are having them, this seems very worthy to me.

Pamela (pdarrah)

So teachers and staff can have a day off:cool1:

I know I used to dread those days the kids were out of school but now that I work at school - MORE DAYS OFF PLEASE!

Remember Pirates Code - Those that Fall Behind Get left behind ...lol

Were in the same spot , think were going to do the World in April of 09 but after the PC were not sailing again till the inaugural of the New Ship ....

pirate:

I think we';ll be in the same boat (figuratively & literally) unless they come back to Europe between now & then

Sounds like a nice tradition

When Tyreak was younger, he performed in several King Day programs at The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.

What do they do at the Brooklyn Botanical gardens for the day? I hadn't heard about that.

We've thought about 2009, but no definite plans yet. We wanted to go to Italy, but I think we'll wait til the kids are a little older and can (hopefully:) ) appreciate it better. Right now, it looks like Alaska is the front runner, but that can easily change. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

We would like to do one of the Italy ABDs in 2009.

I had a nice "little" chat with Cheryl yesterday :lmao: I'm really looking forward to the mini meet of Tina's in March :goodvibes

:rotfl: :rotfl: I don't know who can talk longer...me or Cheryl!!!!

We all  you Cheryl!!!!

I thought it was so that Gov't workers get more days off? :rotfl: :rotfl:

John

:rotfl: :rotfl: I sometimes tell people that Jon married me so that he would never have to speak for himself. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I am his *official* spokesperson. :lmao:

dear pbger ; i watched a lil' of the thundering herd 's movie. very
heavy on feelings.....i just can't seem to watch the whole movie.
[its weird..knowing the story before watching a movie]. would like
to add...terry- the tailback who scored the winning td.."marshall,
could not had a better person....he was always very humble." ]

the year before...when terry was on our team...the biggest high
school game...in ohio, was between ports notre dame vs. ports.
west..it was before state playoffs...& it decided both state championships.
terry & dave ..will always be teammates. i'm gald you enjoyed the pics,
storys.

marshall's...legacy....truly a story worth telling...i think they did a good job-
stressing how they started from scratch....* in less than 6mos.,:thumbsup2

ps, i went to the state champ. game..in 87, between ports nd & newark
catholic..a willd and crazy game...that was decided...on a 50 yard fieldgoal!
why mentioned?...osu lost to michigan...cos they couldn't kick...a 30 yardie!
ironic? becasue of our school connections to marshall...i will always have
a special...part in my heart! go herd! :cheer2:

* footnote, first time "freshmen were permitted" ,as marshall had no
other options. i wonder, how many realized..how amazing..they actually
won games that year..but to win their "first" home game....was alot
more than points!

...as for all you buckeyes...fans! :flower3: ! i think, it's stories..like
tebow & troy smith...that gives...the heisman its meanings! troy, over
coming..obstacles...that is what.....i like to "see"....football values being
focused on instead of "points"! [ did all the mothers here "heard" about
how tebow's was almost lost during birth?] . faith..to me, is what a
person believes in their hearts...sometimes...all the differences..in the
world...is dependant on that one feeling! :goodvibes , thank goodness!

..& what..i think is really special...even winning a football game?....ha!
osu...is where bill waterson teaches! :yay: { can you imagine ..his
creative writng class?} . now isn't that something..to get up- hoot
& holler!...:cheer2: .

thank you..pdger, for missing me....:goodvibes , ( over the courses of
this thread....don't think, you reflections of offering kindness....is
missed...very self evident, you and ms.mismce..have hearts as big as
texas. [ i have a friend..@ work, that's a "longhorn!" ] funny, we
have miami, fla , fla. state, osu, ou bobcats-:thumbsup2 , 'bama
..& pitt. panthers' graduates..making up our professional staff. &
working together..sorta of....

oh, then there's our goofy neighbor..born/raised in ohio but a very big
mic-hag-end...some darn ornery kids....stole his big blue flag......i pointed
the finger..@ mr. crash! :rolleyes1

...there's something.....pixiedust: , christmas in wdw. however, mk was
full by 10 am. unless..you were staying on property -they gave you a
pink slip.... , what we did? we stayed @ the resort...."pool
day".....[ i went the hot tub! ahhhhh!]. & later...did something i always
wanted to do....went around takin'pics!...we ate christmas dinner @
boma. [ because it was christmas...one thing i wanted to do..was take
pics...of the different christmas trees!] . then we venture on my wdw's
attraction...the monorail!...around the loop ..sometimes..we were the only
ones. * we were very lucky enough...to have a few dreams'encounters...
as we were only there for 2 days...& the 2 parks we did..were animal k.,
& epcot! ....* i guess..its a sign of getting old-er...epcot is our new favorite
..with a.k., a close second! [well, i 've always like..animals...:stitch: -anyone
liking dogs..are ok..with me! ]. however, a very nice cm, allowed us
to "sneak in" to mk , christmas evening.....to take castle pics & such.
later, they did the good night kiss!" jordan's received..several special
:tink: pins...some from the most unlikely sources...:rolleyes1

....but the most magically encounter was stumbled onto ..by me! :wizard:
however, it was my kids....and lil'cutie pie..that received all the "goodies"~
like minnie comforters...{ps, i like soft things..even though..i may
have barbossa personaility, hemp! ~ }..so what did i get???
ha!..the privilege of taking their happy pics!.

obviously..i'm going to have to work..on my pathetic , lonely, pupppy
dog looks! pluto: ...maybe if just m., not to busy..she could offer her
suggestions? hemp? ..for working the actions & such-

* i could be wrong...or guilty..but i think crash is to blame ....as being
very bad...pirate: ..[ a.k.a.~ brittany..s. type ]....all i know to suggest...
is for the wenches...get together..& do a lil'floggin' ..back in ship shape!
as always..i be there to take pics..so he can keep-sake, his magical
gatherin' dream come true! ] what friends 4, eh?
