May CAN'T come soon enough for me !! I say this because even though our cruise is paid for I feel like things keep coming up for us to cancel. Once May has come and gone then I feel we are past that window. Make any sense??

No as of right now we are not cancelling cruise and NO matter what party is set for March 30th. I already signed contract and gave them a check.

Now here is the short version on what's going on..........such as life Chuck got @##%%^& by his company. They want him to go to fla. His contract is up March 31st. He was suppose to have a 4 year contract. Brooke has school till end of May.

We are moving but I don't know where yet? I will not move till Brooke gets out of school and I decided I AM NOT GOING TO FLA. Other then that I have no idea where we will be.

Update on the Smurfs! Final bid $127.50!!!! I know some of that goes to Ebay and paypal fees, but it still should pay for a chunk of that zip-line DH & DS are doing in Puerto Vallarta!

We always gave a nice tip to the kids(teens) that handled Angelina's parties when she was younger. Not once were we told tips were not accepted. I think B-a-B might need to think about changing their policy. I've seen what these kids do when doing these parties, they work really hard, and in my opinion deserve anything extra they can get.

BTW, I did send B-a-B Headquarters an e-mail last night, but I can't let Angelina know I sent it off, as she told me she wanted to handle this.

That really stinks Andy ! I think Angelina did the right thing and hope she knows it. Let us know what headquarters says. At least they could have given her a warning if they were so head strong about it! Sounds like the woman would be insulted if Angelina didn't take the tip. geez

For heaven's sake! The Smurfs have gone up to $107 with 12 minutes left - this is just crazy. Little blue plastic toys ....

I am not paying any more money to anyone else for that !! 5,000 in NY 6,000 in IL not to mention the legal stuff with ex. I am not going to go through that again so I am not leaving IL for 4 years.

That's good to hear. I did pay for ins. on item glad I also paid through paypal. It was something for party but also something I REALLY wanted.

I am rotten with change and plan to never switch jobs so I can just imagine how stressful it must be to you all. Add a child, etc and it becomes so much worse.
I hope things get better soon (or at least no worse).

Thank you, yes I am the same way. I was in my house for 11 years in NY before I packed up and moved. I don't handle change or stress very well. I am trying not to lose my faith as it has been tested alot in a year. So I pray and go to church and I am putting it into Gods hands. Don't mean to preach but just being honest. Otherwise I think I would be in some type of hospital long ago.

Anyway, Chuck's job is uncertain?? He should find out more info this week but even if he does go to Fla. you can't trust company?? Chuck believes it was sold, the powers to be are no longer and that's why he doesn't have a contract after March 31st.

Just a quick hello to you all. It's been a very difficult few days. DS has been improving but in the meantime I had a few health issues that resulted in emergency surgery Thurs night. I'm doing better now, but still taking it easy. DS has been released from the hospital but is in a residential facility that is supposed to ease the transition from hospital to home. He should be coming home next weekend.

I'm really ready for it to be someone else's turn. I think my family has had enough in the last 6 months to last us the next 10 years!!!

Monica.....you deserve the TOAL!!!!! I can't believe all the health issues with DS and yourself!!! I sure hope our prayers will start working soon!!

Angelina is back in the ranks of the unemployed. Angelina did a birthday party yesterday at work and was fired because the mother of the child who the party was for handed Angelina a tip. Angelina said she wasn't allowed to accept tips, but the mother insisted she take it and put it in her pocket. The manager on duty saw this and told Angelina she was no longer needed at the store.............

I have never heard of that policy before when I worked there!!! I saw lots of tips being given out. You did the same thing I would have done by writing to HQ of B-A-B. I hope you sent your e-mail to Maxine herself!!!

A couple of days ago we were given a closing date of either the 29th or 30th (January). We went out there yesterday and things are looking BEAUTIFUL!!!

We haven't started packing ...... And we are busy with 2 different plays....The kids and I won't be able to move anything the weekend after the closing since we have 2 shows that Thursday, 1 Friday, 2 on Saturday & 1 on Sunday..... Luckily that next Monday & Tuesday I am completely free!!!!

Because of the delay in closing we are going to have a *late* DCL House Party!

I am glad house is coming along....finally!! Just make sure my room is ready!!! I need to escape this cold!!!

Had a pretty nasty wind storm go through earlier this evening - lost power for about 1.5 hours. Luckily a friend had taped Amazing Race from the satellite, we just have plain cable. So once power was restored we were able to watch the finale.

Wow how unfair is that? Poor Angelina!

We have very strong employment laws in New Zealand and its really hard to fire someone. You need to have at least two written warnings first before being fired. The court would have a field day in Angelina's case if it was in New Zealand.

Morning Everyone - after reading the last few pages, I hope this week turns out to be much better for everyone. Sending all those that need it tonnes of pixie dust.

We had a quiet week-end here, except for the rather yummy curry Saturday night & Xmas dinner (yes, you read right) at MIL yesterday. She felt bad she did not cook for us over the festive period, hence yesterday complete with crackers & Xmas pud.

Smurfs are real collectors items in the UK & I remember seeing one person on breakfast telly whose house was literally a smurf shrine!
