Wow, Esteri. That must have been some storm to take out your fence. You wanted to replace it anyways, right :rotfl2: at least I hope you did.

We had a tree fall on our house in Nov06 and are still dealing with repairs.

as for Take what ya Can - Give nothing Back... I am Ok with it. However, I can see how some might think otherwise. May I suggest ya put on one of the old POTC movies to relive the lines as they're in the movie? Ya might relax a bit on your tolerance of this line being on our cruise shirts.[/QUOTE]

I have no problem with it being on an adult's t-shirt. Once Roger, jogged my memory about it being in the POTC movie - I have vague memories of it. I love the POTC movies but haven't watched them for awhile - something me I intend to do soon now that the holidays are over and we have POTC 3.

I have the issue with it being on my child's t-shirt. It is a very adult logo for a cruise that is very family oriented. My children will be 12/13 when we cruise , but I still don't want it on the back of their t-shirts. Perhaps something with the dates, TOAL, or the Part of the DisPirates Crew - let the fun begin. Just suggestions - don't mean to stir the pot. :confused3

Julie (Bellelinus) and Chris (GrandmaX3) are our DL to Port Team Leaders. They were waiting until after the first of the year to get started on this. Julie should be returning from SoCal soon.

Sorry, I didn't mean to step on anyone toes. I just thought I'd offer to help.
I'll pass on the names I've received to Bellelinus.:sad1:

Finished my first cup of coffee and feel human again. We have lunch today with DW's sister & Husband to plan ous WLV vacation the end of June. Almost three years since we stayed there. Will make ressie at Hoop de doo today.

Aw Andy that sounds so sweet. Knowing you, I'm sure it came out beautiful!

Who posted that link to mousesurplus hmmmm? I have been to their site before but not for a very long time. Well don't you know I decided to go check it out again & I ended up "winning" this AKL queen sized comforter.

IMG_063811.JPG

Although I use the term "winning" loosely because I think what a really won is a kick in the behind from DH when he sees what I spent!

I know what you mean Diane, I always seem to get myself in trouble whenever I pay a visit to that site as well.............

In fact, I've got a bid in over there right now.........

Morning :goodvibes We are still going over and over whether we will go back and get that Armoire for the 3rd bedroom. The grandkids use it for sleepovers and it is time to update the room.

Dianne I saw that spread as well.He had lots of stuff from AKL and it was very tempting.I was looking for the darker blue spread from the ship but he only had the other one which I never saw before and didn't like it as much.I have a swing on the upstairs patio I really need to recover and thought it would be ideal for that.

Andy, that must have been a real hard thing to put together and still try to stay dry eyed. Must be great.

I also don't get the problem with the sayings on the shirts. :confused3

Am I reading it right, but I am getting the impression from Roberto that there is a good chance the divers can put on an early show and there is other stuff to do as well early am. We can only hope :thumbsup2

Well it is a work day:surfweb: Heard the systems were down til 1 yesterday. It would give me more time to read the paper.:coffee:

Hi guys!
I have a question.... I thought I heard someone tell me that passports for cruises were not needed now until 2009? Is this for sure, or is it just a rumor??

This site should answer your questions
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html

Here is a partial quote from that side
"JANUARY 31, 2008
U.S. and Canadian citizens will need to present either a WHTI-compliant document, or a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, plus proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate. DHS also proposes to begin alternative procedures for U.S. and Canadian children at that time.

LATER
At a later date, to be determined, the departments will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of WHTI. The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have either a U.S. passport; a U.S. passport card; a trusted traveler card such as NEXUS, FAST, or SENTRI; a valid Merchant Mariner Document (MMD) when traveling in conjunction with official maritime business; or a valid U.S. Military identification card when traveling on official orders."

To me "later" means that at anytime they can say "as of xxxx everyone will need a passport when traveling on cruises"

I feel it is just easier to have the passport especially since this is a longer cruise. If you there is an emergency and you have to fly home from one of the ports having a passport will make getting back into the U.S. and being able to fly out of a foreign port much much easier

The other reason is what if something happens to someone while in port your drivers license and birth certificate will not help you at that point

I am not an expert on this, so correct me if I am wrong but the above passage is from the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (which covers Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean region). This would include all of our stops except for Colombia. The following if from the State Deptment stating documents required to travel to Colombia.

ENTRY/EXIT REQUIREMENTS: All U.S. citizens who are not also Colombian citizens must present a valid U.S. passport to enter and depart Colombia, and to return to the United States. Dual U.S-Colombian citizens must present a Colombian passport to enter and exit Colombia, and must have a U.S. passport to return to the United States. Be aware that any person born in Colombia may be considered a Colombian citizen, even if never documented as such. If you are an American citizen who was born in Colombia or who otherwise has Colombian citizenship, you will need both a Colombian passport and a U.S. passport for your trip.

GoofyontheHiSeas - Thank you for adding this information
For some reason I keep forgetting we are going to South America on this cruise.

If anyone is familiar with how the blackberry would work on the ship?

I have used my AT&T cell phone on cruise ships before and know the costs associated with it but this is the first time I will be traveling with my blackberry

Do you get charged automatically for each email that downloads when you have your phone on? Or does it only charge you if you open to read the actual email?

I plan on contacting AT&T on Monday but figured I would post here in case anyone has experience with this

Thanks

I'm also confused about the issue with the shirts.:confused3

Anyone have any experience with Von's grocery delivery?

While reading the Disneyland boards, I found a thread about grocery delivery. Pretty much like wegoshop for WDW.

I checked out the website and called customer service to get a bit of info. The rep I spoke with said the delivery fee is $10.00 for a 2 hour delivery window and a few dollars less(sorry can't remember the price) for a 4 hour window.

I figure this would be an easy way for me to get our much needed water, PEPSI and laundry supplies.

Will they deliver to the ship?
On the same note has anyone come across a car service company that may make a stop at a liquor store? We aren't big drinkers but a couple of bottles of wine would be nice to have for the room without paying the inflated costs on the ship
