Is that you? Awwwwwww

Right now I have been watching all the fireworks everyone is shooting off. It has been a steady barage since I got home at 9:30 Poor dog seems to be a bit shellshock.

HAPPY 2008

1955 what a great year, love the pic Roger!!!

I fell asleep in my chair at 11pm and woke back up at 11:55pm, just in time to see 2008 arrive. Now I can say, I plan to retire in only two years!!! :lmao:

I actually live 1 1/2 hours south in Victoria, BC.

This photo is of our Inner Harbour with the Empress Hotel on the left, The Royal BC Museum in the center and the Parliament Buildings to the right. The Cruise ships dock about a 5 minute drive away to the far right.

The photo you posted is of Nanaimo, BC. We rarely see snow in Victoria. The town actually goes into a quasi panic when the forecasters start mentioning the "S" word. I do love the change of seasons though - Fall is my favorite followed by spring. If DCL ever comes up this way - I'll be your tour guide. It's a beautiful place to live.

From what I understand, all the new ressies are for early dining - they now have a waitlist for late!

Our TA had no problem getting us early dining when we booked a few weeks ago. The late sitting is just too late for us and interferes with doing other stuff.

Just want to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR pixiedust: and all the best in 2008. The TOAL is only 230 days away - but who's counting :cool1: We had pretty boring NYE here. Watched a few DVD's and then on the computers a bit. DH and I weren't paying to close attention to the time and DH heard some fireworks going off. NYE is our special night as that is when we met each other for the first time - 18 years ago - we got married 10 months later.

I think I've got my signature figured out, so I'll see if it works with this post.

Has anyone who's booked to go on the Jolly Pirate Sail/Snorkel found out about their cancellation policy - if you decide to do something else?

Did I mention how much I love summer...? I'm sitting with the back door open and a warm breeze coming through the house, the sun is streaming in and the furkids are all flat out asleep. Sounds like heaven to me but enjoy the snow :rotfl2:

OK OK OK Dont take the 'Mickey' our Sun will come back to us...sometime, but the first snow of winter for London is due for Thursday, so all traffic will come to a halt.

Enjoy your SUN!:)

Happy New Year Everyone! Big Ben has just struck & the fireworks are going off like you wouldn't believe. Hermione didn't quite last & crashed at 1145pm. Will ketchup later, off for champagne now.

I go on TOAL THIS YEAR!!!!!!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Happy New Year:yay:

Bellelinus found a post somewhere from the company where they promised to refund for cancelations due to a cruise ship missing the island. They seem to have been around for several years at least, but it would probably be a good idea to get something in writing about their cancelation policy:confused3 Most companies refund if you give them enough notice and you have some protection from the credit card company from fraud as well (I think:confused: ).
I know others have asked about this as well. Did anybody get an answer from Jolly Pirates ?

Good morning. Enjoy your holiday:goodvibes
I am working today got to get my year end closed out. We leave for vacation tomorrow morning so I probably won't get a chance to post again as
Alan and Adam aren't packed. So tons of last minute things to get done. I'll share some pictures of Costa Rica when we get back. I still haven't decided if I am bringing my laptop, but I should. I bought Alan a really small camcorder for Chhristmas that you just download to the computer it only holds an hour of video--guess I just talked myself into it.

May 2008 bring health and happiness.:goodvibes
