Diane, one of my friends at work has symptoms like that. She sees many drs and has lupus. The swelling of the hands is what caught my eye as she wakes up every night in pain and has to take pain pills and her fingers swell as well. Hope this is not your case .

They did test me for that Arlene, but it was negative. I don't know if that's one of those things that can test negative but really be positive? I heard Lime Disease can hide. I need Dr. House!!!

Thanks it's been fun! We went out to a Japanese steak house, which was yummy. We didn't get around to watching Ratatouille like we planned, since we got back later than we thought.

I think this cruise maybe different, but on the E/bound in 2005, when We were told to book we didn't have any idea of price ranges for the cruise in advance.

So I told DREAMS to go for a lower CAT, to ensure the cost was OK. As soon as I booked I realized my usual CAT 4, was a reasonable price so I asked DREAMS if I could upgrade.

Whilst the ship was sold out in hours, if not a day, I went from an assigned lower CAT room, to a CAT 4 Guarantee, at the same price tier difference as on release, on cheapest pricing.

This time I went straight for a CAT 4,

Thats true, I just didn't want them to assume that when someone said they paid $xxxx for their cat X cabin that they assumed that would also be the price for them. Sorry if I wasn't clear - serves me right for reading (and replying) so early in the morning - I'd not even finished my breakfast at the time.

WE ARE IN!!!!

For the longest time, I thought I was going to cancel this cruise that I tried so hard to book. Now we just got off Magic for our first ever Xmas cruise and I was talking to DH about booking New Year cruise for 2008. So I said that what about the 15 night cruise, he said that why don't we go?!! He tought I have already cancelled it. He works A LOT even while on the ship, he racked up so much internet and phone charge while onboard for this past 7 night night trip. So I thought 15 nights will be way too long for him. I was so surprised that he loved it so much, he originally was the one totally against it saying why would he ever want to be on the ship for 7 nights, this and that....

I'm so thrilled that you didn't cancel - what a good move!

Well...

... I'm starting to feel much better = but that may be because I just had dinner too. And as such I just wanted to make mention that I enjoied seeing the vintage pictures that have recently been posted. I have so few of myself that I tuly admire and respect the tremendous Memory VALUE these old photos capture. I wish I had more pictures of myself when I was younger... sigh.

And now - I'm going to step out to run couple of errands. I was to have shipped the secret Mickey / minnie / holiday exchange gifts that came into my possession recently - but alas I did not. They will go out tomorrow if I can find a post office open AFTER I drop off Alicia and the kids at Knotts. SO to anyone still trying to catch up on this ... you're not the only one still finishing up. This is fer SIL and Mrs. Scooby .... sorry about the delay but I was obviously struggling with my encroaching illness while in San Diego and knocked on my tail these past two days. Tomorrow I hope to catch up before the new year is upon us!

Just got an update from our cousins - It seems we're not gonna do Knotts after all and they want to take a day to relax and will hang out close to the hotel tomorrow to "talk story" with us. So its' going to be a relaxing new years eve for the most part.

Don't we all. I love watching the Mystery Diagnosis show and have told DH several things he may have. He , however does not think it is funny,Drives the PCP nuts when I come up with these things.

Well it took about 5 min to get to the next page. Now it seems faster.

A Merry (belated) Christmas to everyone. I ended up getting sick so it was a struggle to get everything done and I am just glad it's over. I know, not very jolly, but I really didn't think I was going to pull it off and was a bit stressed.

I did ketchup on thread the last nigt and was suprised to see JetBlue opened up flights. I booked everything last night and we are all set. It was very exciting to be able to book becuase it makes it seem so much more real!!!!

DD and I are going out a week earlier and our flights were $30 more than DH's who is flying in the day before. I will keep an eye on the flights since JetBlue offers credits if your flight price is lowered. I doubt CA end will go down, but FL to Boston was $114 and that usually goes down to $79 at some point.

I hope you feel beeter soon!!!!

I'm afraid my answer to this is a bit winded.......

A few days after I returned from FL I came down with a headcold. I felt bad enough that when I went for treatment the Tuesday before X-Mas I thought they may not treat me. My counts were fine and my throat looked OK so I had my treatment.

By Thursday I felt pretty good and finished my X-Mas shopping and when I got home shoveled some snow from the storm that day. Well, that same night, about 6Pm I started not feeling well and got worse by the minute. I was up all night coughing (delsym was no help)and could not lift my head up without intense pain, and at one point had a fever of 101 - not good. My oncology office is closed Friday but is always on call and told me to see my PCP. He gave me meds (antibiotics and cough medicince), but was really concerned and took blood. I got a call later that afternoon that my white blood cell counts were through the roof - again, not good. I was told if I started feeling ANY worse or had fever to go to emergency immediately. The last thing I wanted to do was end up in the hospital on a holiday weekend. I could tell Saturday that the meds were working, so thank goodness, that was not needed. I basically stayed in bed from then until this past Friday. I went to BIL/SIL's for Christmas, but didn't stay long.

I don't know if I got the the flu or just a sinus infection that went crazy because of my compromised immune system, but whatever it was hung on for a full week. If you can get your Dr to call in some antibiotics to the pharmacy before you leave for vacation, I would go for it. They gave me Levaquin (sp?) which are quite strong, but I did feel they were working within 24 hrs.

I hope you feel better and can enjoy the week with your family.

Levaquin is my drug of choice!!! I had 9 different antibiotics before I found leaquin to clear up a sinus infection. I take a prescription with me for a just in case measure whenever I travel.

Frankly, I don't know WHAT to do... she's become more and more powerful with each passing day and hour! By the new years' eve I fear there will be NO Stopping her ever...!!!! Hmmm... the same thing has also been said of me... go figure?
