1) Tell us something about your spouse we probably don't know...?

2) Have you considered any new Years' resolutions? If so, would you like to share them?

3) When you proposed or were proposed to last - what was passing through your mind silently? Anything in particular worth sharing?

4) If you have a PET... what did he or she do the last time they were "naughty"?

5) When was the last time you were sick more or less? What did you comedown with?

6) When was the last time you got a ticket (moving violation, infraction or parking)

7) And for the final question posed in 2007 ... by popular demand.... Tell us something about you we (probably) don't know... !

I think some of these questions are perhaps difficult to reply to - if we get few responses - or a number of skipped replies I would not be surprised. I will be among the first few to reply in good faith.... in a few minutes AFTER the first 2 replies post.

2) Have you considered any innocent new Years' resolutions? If so, would you like to share them?

4) If you are honest... what did you do the last time you were "naughty"?

5) When was the last time you threw a sickie at work, What did you claim to comedown with?

6) When was the last time you got a ticket (moving violation, infraction or parking)

PS

Happy new year!!!!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Some of us are up a little late and some of us are up a little early. How was everyones Xmas?

I mentioned a few weeks ago how cute my grandsons IPODS were and low and behold my wife got me one as a gift. My 18 yearold grandson loaded it with 50 songs. I asked him how he knew what to load, and he said all those times I was in the car with you through the years listening to my CD's. I was really touched that he remembered. So now when I'm out shopping with the wife I can be in my own world with Roger Whittaker, Pavarotti, & Charlotte Church. Kind of scary how small it is.

What a neat gift and how kind and thoughtful of your grandson to load your favourites on there. I love my iPod, I use it on a daily basis. Never thought I'd make as good use of it as I do.

As an aside, I'm getting a little peeved with the red underlining of my spelling - darn US English is catching me out. It complains when I spell favourites correctly :rotfl2:

1) Tell us something about your spouse we probably don't know...?

He loves to roll quarters from our air machines. Alan really loves to work in the yard.

2) Have you considered any new Years' resolutions? If so, would you like to share them?

To get caught up on my scrapbooking and to take more pictures.

3) When you proposed or were proposed to last - what was passing through your mind silently? Anything in particular worth sharing?

Sorry, I can't remember. That was almost 24 years ago.

4) If you have a PET... what did he or she do the last time they were "naughty"?

No pets now, but they were never naughty.

5) When was the last time you were sick more or less? What did you comedown with?

This Friday, had a bad headache.

6) When was the last time you got a ticket (moving violation, infraction or parking)

Last ticket I was given was about 6 years ago (speeding), last ticket that I had to pay was about 12 years ago(ran a red light). :rolleyes1

7) And for the final question posed in 2007 ... by popular demand.... Tell us something about you we (probably) don't know... !

I guess that I am very frugal, we take nice vacations but otherwise we are pretty boring folks. I still have my Christmas $$ stashed away that I got last year.

I think some of these questions are perhaps difficult to reply to - if we get few responses - or a number of skipped replies I would not be surprised. I will be among the first few to reply in good faith.... in a few minutes AFTER the first 2 replies post.

1) Tell us something about your spouse we probably don't know...? Hazel wears hearing aids in both ears

2) Have you considered any new Years' resolutions? If so, would you like to share them? To try and get closer to my siblings, our ages are 54, 52, 45, 43, 35 and our life styles are quite different, but I still love them all.

3) When you proposed or were proposed to last - what was passing through your mind silently? Anything in particular worth sharing? I proposed to Hazel two times, which one would you like to know about?

4) If you have a PET... what did he or she do the last time they were "naughty"? Angelina's cat Stefani was caught eating the pine needles on our Christmas Tree.

5) When was the last time you were sick more or less? What did you comedown with? I had Shingles this past summer, and boy did they hurt!!!

6) When was the last time you got a ticket (moving violation, infraction or parking) I got my one and only speeding ticket while driving through North Carolina back in 1988.

7) And for thefinal question posed in 2007 ... by popular demand.... Tell us something about you we (probably) don't know... ! When I was 17, I was selected as one of the top 5 bowlers from my Junior Bowling League, my average at the time was 160. We competed against the top 5 bowlers from another bowling alley and I bowled games of 253, 207 and 165 during the match. I was selected as MVP from my team members as we won the match in convincing style. I bowled for a few more years, then my knees started giving me trouble and I had to stop.

Thank you so much Andy! But actually I'm 24 today....

+20....shhhhhh!

Yep, I got that with Diane's birthday greeting...........now don't you feel special Diane, especially being 29+++ and all??? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I do feel special! More than you know! Thanks so much guys for all the birthday wishes! I got a lot of chuckles!!! :goodvibes

We're off to my favorite Japanese steak house for dinner & then we'll probably rent Ratatouille on demand. Contrary to my reputation...that's about as exciting as it gets around here folks! :rolleyes1

1) Tell us something about your spouse we probably don't know...?

He is a wonderful mimic, he does accents and voices - he is always catching family and friends out on the phone by calling and pretending to be doing a survey or calling from a store/business they are dealing with. He often quotes lines from movies or tv too with startling accuracy. It keeps us entertained for hours.

2) Have you considered any new Years' resolutions? If so, would you like to share them?

This is an easy one, its the same as last year. Maintain my current weight. I fractured my jaw two years ago and went from around 64kg and slowing rising down to about 54kg (or less, not exactly sure how much I lost) and am now holding steady at 57kg and have been for about 18 months. I'm only 5'4" so this is a good weight for me.

3) When you proposed or were proposed to last - what was passing through your mind silently? Anything in particular worth sharing?

OMG, get off your knees, what if someone sees you! :rotfl:

4) If you have a PET... what did he or she do the last time they were "naughty"?

Peed on the carpet. One of my mini daxies throws temper tantrums and pees on the floor occassionally.

5) When was the last time you were sick more or less? What did you comedown with?

Since Christmas Eve I've been fighting a stomach bug (virus not self inflicted) I think I have actually finally kicked it properly now. I won't go into the gory details but basically after the first 24 hours I was just nauseous for a few days following and off my food.

6) When was the last time you got a ticket (moving violation, infraction or parking)

I got a parking ticket while I was working at a client site. It was only $10 and it was an honest mistake as I didn't see the sign indicating it was a 60 minute parking area. Still, guilty is guilty and I paid the next day. I've only ever had one other parking ticket and never had a speeding fine.

7) And for thefinal question posed in 2007 ... by popular demand.... Tell us something about you we (probably) don't know... !

That's a hard one! I collect Cabbage Patch Kids - the 1980s ones. I bike to work most days unless its raining or very icey. I pick my nails. I go on approximately 2 overseas trips per year. I don't drink alcohol but will consume it in a dessert. I hate icecream and similarly cold things - I prefer my drinks without ice. I'm vegetarian. Oh and I love answering these questions - most of the CPK groups I visit do these regularly and its a good way to get to know others.

Here's the picture of my Dad that I mentioned in chat last night. He was about 18 when this was taken. I always thought he looked a bit like Elvis in this.::yes::

P1010469.jpg

And this one is of Kevin and his 4 older brothers:

P1010470.jpg

For some reason I could see these images on my laptop, but when I came up to the office they are gone. Anyway what a handsome man your Dad! And Kevin makes a cute kid!

That was a great idea! Glad you're enjoying it! :thumbsup2

So, I for one can't wait for the next 35 years of watching old, pathetic versions of Tom Brady, Randy Moss & Teddy Bruschi being trotted out onto TV, clutching a bottle of champaign ever time a team starts 12-0.

Move over Nick Buoniconti, Larry Csonka, and Bob Griese.

******

FYI Bill Belchic'ks record as Brown's head coach: 36-44 which makes him arguably the worst coach in Cleveland history. Nice.

*******

In an odd twist of playoff logic...the Browns can do whatever they want today.

GO COLTS!!
Indianapolis-Colts-Helmet-Logo-Photofile-Photograph-C10138731.jpeg

Gotta love the NFL. If the Browns and Titans each finish the season 9-7 the Browns go to the playoffs. If they each finish 10-6, the Titans go. :confused3 :confused3 Go Colts!

Why oh why am I sensing quite a bit of sacrasm in this post??? :confused3 :rotfl2:

I'm with the majority so far.....GO WITH THE BLACK ONE!!! Absolutely stunning!

Can anyone share what they paid for a cat 9 on this EB cruise?
We are booked in a cat 6 but looking to maybe switch to a cat 8 or 9 so that we can take another vacation in 2008.

We are looking for prices for 4 people - 2 adults, 1 teen, 1 child age 10

If anyone can share that would be great
I understand there isn't anything available and we may not be able to switch if rooms for 4 in ocean views don't become available but wanted to get information together

Thank you

From what I understand the cat. 9's are going for pretty much what we paid for the cat. 6's on day one so you might not save much at all. Sorry!

I don't know that it will help you, with the tiered pricing it will entirely depend upon how quickly people managed to get a stateroom when they became available. You will find many people have paid different amounts for the exact same categories and it was simply a matter of timing.

We were lucky and got the cheapest pricing available but the cabins that have occasionally come available in the last few weeks are now approximately 3 times that price now.

I think this cruise maybe different, but on the E/bound in 2005, when We were told to book we didn't have any idea of price ranges for the cruise in advance.

So I told DREAMS to go for a lower CAT, to ensure the cost was OK. As soon as I booked I realized my usual CAT 4, was a reasonable price so I asked DREAMS if I could upgrade.

Whilst the ship was sold out in hours, if not a day, I went from an assigned lower CAT room, to a CAT 4 Guarantee, at the same price tier difference as on release, on cheapest pricing.

This time I went straight for a CAT 4,

1) Tell us something about your spouse we probably don't know...?

Well I tend to bad mouth DH here, but truth be told, he does just like to tease me a LOT, but he treats me like a princess. There is almost nothing he will refuse me. Well okay, maybe you have figured out I'm a spoiled brat?

2) Have you considered any new Years' resolutions? If so, would you like to share them?

Um yes I'll be joining M back on that wenches thread or I AM going to need that sheet! :sad2:

3) When you proposed or were proposed to last - what was passing through your mind silently? Anything in particular worth sharing?

Right before Christmas in 1987, DH took me to an expensive dinner in Boston & then to a castle by the ocean in Gloucester & when he opened the back trunk he had champagne, roses & my ring. He got down on his knees & I kept giggling because I thought....."Get up you silly man! You're kneeling in the snow!!!"

4) If you have a PET... what did he or she do the last time they were "naughty"?

I think I told you already, but she chewed my curtains, shades & tore a hole right through the wall near the front door. That's because we left a neighbor to come in and check on her while we were on vacation in August. Bad mistake!!!

5) When was the last time you were sick more or less? What did you comedown with?

Funny you should ask! I hate to complain but....oh never mind I love to complain & you know it! :rolleyes1 Seriously about 15 years ago I had severe joint pain that would affect my shoulders, wrists & knees but not all at the same time. I could be good for a few days & then whammo back to severe pain. I would wake up crying in the middle of the night because my shoulders felt like someone was pulling them out of their sockets. My wrists would swell up so bad that I couldn't work. I was told I had bursitis, tendonitis, and then rheumotoid arthritis. They did all kinds of blood tests on me, but all they found was that I had an RF1 (which is a level of inflammation that could signal rheumatoid), but the rhuemotologist chuckled at me like I was exaggerating my pain, because he could find nothing wrong with me. It seemed like everytime I went to the doctors my swelling was down & my range of motion was fine so they acted like I was imagining the whole thing. Well it went away almost completely after a few months as suddenly as it came. I occassionally had mild knee pain, but nothing like what was happening. :confused3

Sorry this is long, but whats really worrying me lately is....it's back! Out of the blue I am having severe joint pain in my shoulder the other night (still a bit sore), my wrist was so swollen after chat Friday night that I took Motrin & went to bed almost in tears & today it is my knee. I almost thought about going to the hospital to show the doctors that my wrist was visibly swollen, but I didn't. :guilty:

Sorry you asked huh?

6) When was the last time you got a ticket (moving violation, infraction or parking)

Knock on wood....NEVER!!! I got stopped for going thru a red light when I first got my license but the officer just gave me a hard time & let me go.

7) And for thefinal question posed in 2007 ... by popular demand.... Tell us something about you we (probably) don't know... !

I think some of these questions are perhaps difficult to reply to - if we get few responses - or a number of skipped replies I would not be surprised. I will be among the first few to reply in good faith.... in a few minutes AFTER the first 2 replies post.

Hmmmmm I'm pretty much an open book & I think you all know pretty well judging by my birthday images. I could tell you my religious or political views, but that probably wouldn't win me a lot of friends. :rolleyes1 Well I guess I could tell you that I'm really very shy. That might be hard to imagine, but like many others have mentioned here, I am not so outgoing in person, and I tend to clam up in large groups. I think that's why I like to be on the DIS boards so much. It's much easier to check what I say....before it comes spilling out of my mouth & I have to then insert my foot! :scared:

Okay enough about me! I mean I know it's my birthday...but geez shut up already!!! :goodvibes
