T.G.I.F. and a three day weekend (for me anyhow) to boot!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hey Coral did you get the billing information from the Zip-line people? Got mine today sent it in and now have my conformation. :cool1:

Yes, I did finally receive. They apologized for not sending it. No biggie. I am really liking booking and paying for all these excursions ahead of time.

Stick with being a lawyer or writing newsletters!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I have to go out and do a midnight show for Cloverfield. The temperature is 12 with a wind chill of 10 below zero.:headache:

Talking Saturday of going up to 6 degrees with a wind chill of -30 dregrees below zero. Where is the global warming???:confused3 :confused3

I feel pretty sure I have never been in weather that cold my entire life. I grew up fairly close to a ski resort in NM and started skiing very young- I still don't think I have ever been in that kind of cold.
But, you want to talk about wicked HEAT- We got it! So I feel for you now but will need reciprocitating sympathy this summer. :)

To this point I think that anyone that has booked as of this morning is on the BIG SHIP. :cheer2: The person that a I corresponded with indicated that the 1st ship was full now and they were still receiving inquiries (not bookings). I will have empty out my PM box and PM all of you that I have on my list and then compare that to their list. Sounds like we are going to have a lot of fun.

Thanks Roger! It might be a good idea when we get closer to give them a list of all known DISers for this trip. It might be a little hard on someone if the entire ship except for 1 family or something were DIS folks! I know we are a pretty inclusive group, but it might feel to them like they were crashing someone else's party ... If the Jolly Pirates folks knew that, they might be able to put them onto the other boat.

We're baa-aaack. UGH! 2 hour school delay.

WDW trip was great. I was able to lurk a bit on my crackberry. Congrats on your finish Jeanne :cheer2: There seemed to be lots of planning going on & I can't remember most of it! :thumbsup2 on the bracelets, K. If you end up with the shipment, let me know and I'll make the trek to Fredneck to help you sort & pack. Very cool that we have the whole pirate ship in Aruba! Someone please le me kow if I missed anything important.

Highlights of our trip:

1. DH finished the marathon. We were able to see him twice during the run. The medal is awesome. Sorta makes me wish my hips could handle all that running. He wants to run again next year & is trying to talk his brother into it, so I'm booking SoG next week and the kids and I are going to try the Family 5K. My BFF (maid-of-honor, oldest son's godmother, you know the type) came with us for most of the trip & she's thinking about signing up for the 1/2. She lost almost 100 lbs. over the last year, so this would be an awesome thing for her.

2. Captain Hook attacked me!!! Whenever we pass Hook in the parks we always chant "Tick Tock Tick Tock" until he hears us. We always get some sort of reaction from him. He was walking during the not-a-parade they have when it is raining (Character Cavalcade or something). Anyway, DS9 and I were standing together and started "tick tock" as Hook walked by. Hook lunged at me and took a step or two onto the sidewalk where I was standing. It was too funny!

3. Goofy picked on DS7 a Chef Mickey's. He reached down and pulled DS's shoe off and then walked around the restaurant offering it to other diners. He did this twice, then made a peace offering by bringing DS a banana...every time he passed our table! DS had about 4 bananas!

4. Non-Disney, but too funny to not mention. We were waiting for Illuminations & having a snack. My BFF was having difficulty opening her pack of apples. She's a lawyer, so of course I was making fun of her. I only have an M.A. and I got my apples open! I asked "How many lawyers does it take to open a pack of apples?" DS7 pipes up with "Those apples are guilty!" It was funnny coming from a 7 year old.

Well,I'll tell ya, looks like we'll most likely be skipping the parks all together. Kev thought it would be fun to do some "touristy" sightseeing, Grauman's Theatre,Walk of Fame, maybe a studio tour. We may just take in a tour.

We'll just have to meet up with ya guys at the pool!

What about checking out Disney's theatre in Hollywood - El Captain and their Soda Fountain Shop next door. I haven't been but looked into it for DH and I going to see POTC2 when we got a chance to go down for DL 51st birthday. I couldn't get seats for us together, so abandon the idea. Apparently it's across the street from Grauman's. Don't know what would be showing in August though. You can prepurchase seats. Here's the url. Looks really cool.

Plus, there is always, Downtown disney and the checking out the two Hotels.

I have stayed at New York before and enjoyed it, at least half of the reason to go is to experience the new fast tracks from London through Kent to the tunnel on Eurostar.

Where did you stay?

Derek, just curious has to how long the train ride is? Is it non-stop from London to DLP?

I did the boat between Dover and Oostende eons ago. My family is from Scotland and my DH's from England and Sweden. Both of us have been over with our Parents and would like to come over together some day, once the kids can fend for themselves. Going on trips with Disney is much more fun with them then boring family history - visiting relatives ones.

I am looking for a new digital camera. Mine was good in its day -- Nikon Coolpix 3 megapixel -- but I want something that is going to give me better definition, more stabilization (especially with close ups) and lots of other neat stuff.

Can any of you give me an idea of what your favorite camera is? Why do you like it so much? Would you post a sample picture so that I can see what kind of picture it takes?

I would really appreciate it. I'd like to get the new camera for the EB cruise and want to have some time to practice with it beforehand.

Many thanks!

We're in the same boat. I've been hanging over at the DCL pic of the Day thread getting some leads there. We have a really nice Canon that was good in its day but I want more ZOOM. Really realized it after our trip to WDW and DCL. So, any recommendations are appreciate here as well.

Thanks Tom:goodvibes

I missed this the first time around!

Mike I really like your new siggie:goodvibes

I'm having flashbacks to the "night runs" from my Wawa days. It was always interesting to see what you'd find. Hopefully, all was well at your store!

Mike, it wasn't too bad. It always gives me an idea as to what they are doing or not. Actually, my customers give me the best insight as to what is going on. It is so nice to hear that so and so is always so nice when I come in. It just amazes me when I hear all these "rules" that I have instituted that I have no idea about. They seem to come from my employees that have been there awhile. :confused3

To DLP direct its between two and a half & three hours, Paris is slightly less the train travels at 186 MPH, now on new tracks from central london to ''under' DLP .

Its a superb train and service, no changes required, on arrival Disnet takes your bags to your hotel you go to the parks with tickets allocated on the train.

First day I arrive about 12 noon, on the retun our train leaves about 7.30pm, but its just after 9pm as you gain an hour.

Seen answered now, thought you had that measurement there, 14 lbs.

Thank you,

Since January 1st, I have only eaten at the three mealtimes, Breakfast Lunch, and dinner, I do not monitor how much at these, but eat sensible.

Then total ban on snacking, no Chocolate, at all, no biscuits, crisps (you call them chips) no McDonald's, so a complete ban on anything naughty.

Then increased to at least two fast walks a day, breakfast and lunch during the working week.

I will have to do more to keep it off, but BP come down as well.

Keep it up Andrew! But I have to agree it isn't fair that you swabbies drop it much faster than us wenches.:goodvibes

we're back..and all in one piece..well...maybe several...just no left overs,
{ hoping}, body parts...from the "horror make~up show." so far.

what!!!:scared1: ..this isn't the cheapest cruise..out there? i see, iam
going have to talk to my lil'cutie pie..about staying within...a budget.....
and reporting accurate data...processing! ;) [ why do i get the feeling,
alot of the wenches here are tweaking..their better halfs?...& they say
these boards are not...:teacher: !

Welcome back! How was WDW?

I have to give Alan a hand about never asking how much something is costing. It does make my vacation planning much easier. It is Adam that feels I should save my $$. (Gotta love the STs)

Bob, wasn't in the picture. But he loved getting them. He told Adam he was going to get some of his out--so when he does I'll forward to you.:goodvibes
