How's Trevoy, Monica???

Are you going on the 5 night Bahamian cruise after this one? Todd was asking who is staying on board earlier and I thought I remembered that you booked it while we were on the Med repo.

I still have it booked, but at this point I don't think it will happen.

We had a set back with Trevoy. He was acting up so much yesterday that they asked that he not have any visitors. He was very violent and threatening towards the staff and toward me when I tried to call him. I did visit this morning and he is doing better. But the staff wants to continue to limit visits to only me and only for 30 minutes at a time. There are 3 different 1 hour sessions that the kids can have visitors and Trevoy is used to having someone there each time. So this is really hard on him.

I am so sorry Monica. This must be so hard on you both.
I will be praying and hoping the best for you all.

I am really sorry to hear this, Monica . . .:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

You must be feeling hopeless at times, but you must never give up hope . . .

Monica, I was wondering how Trevoy was doing. I'll continue to pray for both of you.

I was scared of all you people. After all I only had something like 100 posts prior to joining here.

That's funny. I think I only had about 20 posts before this thread. Weren't you the one who started all the hype through your online detective work?

Finally got in....no room assignment yet. But I'm on Early dining!

Hurray!:cool1: Time enough for the room assignment -- at least since on occasion they have opened a few cabins up for booking, we know that the ship can't be as wildly overbooked as we had feared at one time . . . The later they wait to assign you, perhaps the better your chance for an upgrade!

Brendan and I haven't really decided on excursions..you all are so organized! I hope he goes diving..doesn't like to leave me in foreign places to fend for myself....so I may have to find a friend to do something with..

Chrissie

Chrissie,

I know I mentioned this before, my brother will likely want to do at least one dive. I don't know if Brendan already has a dive partner. If they happen to dive at the same time you can hang with us.

Oh, Monica. :sad1: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Kevin and I were just discussing, we can really only afford to go to one of the parks. Which would you all suggest, Disneyland or California Adventure?
CA looks like it may have a few more "thrill" rides. Not really all that interested in watching the fireworks and stuff. :confused3

Good morning everyone

Is anyone interested in a book exchange on board the ship?
Say if someone is done with their book they can exchange it with someone else that is done with theirs. Thought it would be a good way to limit how many books people have to pack, for those of us that are readers on vacation
Jo

Jo, that's a great idea -- someone did this on the Med repo this past summer. The person in charge just hung a tote bag on her fish extender and people could stop by and leave and pick up paperbacks anytime (theoretically we aren't doing this with any heavier books we really care about!).:thumbsup2

Guess I just volunteered myself for this :cool2:
Having one place to go should work well as people don't have to coordinate a time to swap books

Thanks Julie
Jo
We did this on the Med cruise. We had a designated door that had a big mesh bag haging. It was an open book exchange. At any time you could donate or pick up a book. I believe anything left over at the end was donated to the ship's meager library.

Definitely interested:thumbsup2 Count me in:woohoo:

If we have a lot of pirates interested we can set up two doors for pick-up/drop-off:confused3 I'll volunteer my door if needed:goodvibes

Hi guys! Just popping in to say I completed my first full marathon at WDW this past weekend. Not too shabby for an old fat broad! Maybe now that the training is finally over I'll be able to get over here more often.
Happy day to all!

:cheer2: WOW:cheer2: Congrats:goodvibes

Hey my family and I are going on this cruise. I have a 15 year old and was wondering if we know of any teens going.

My DS is 14:goodvibes

Quick check in to say 'hello'.

:wave2: :wave2:

Doctors the barrage of appointments starts next week I had BP tonight and a weight check, BP down to 138/82, so in the normal range, and weight I am down a stone from January 1st, if all of the scales are correct!

My new video, how to loose a stone in 16 days is in all good retailers ( and Walmart) next week.

What's a stone:confused3

For those of you interested in horseback riding but concerned with either DCL's cost or their age requirement, I know that Jo (ga9497) found one in Aruba. Since I am already booked for Jolly Pirates there, I wanted to see if I could do it elsewhere and leave that day just for snorkeling. This is what I found for Cabo:

http://www.cabosanlucastours.net/Horseback-Riding.htm

I booked the private 2 hour ride for me and my girls, but there are lots of opportunities, and from my research it appears that the Red Rose ranch is an easy taxi ride from the port.

Also, since you only do either 1 or 2 hours, it should still be easy to spend time on the beach near the ship.

Julie,

My DS7 really wants to try horseback riding.
How difficult is it if you have never been on a horse?
I might be able to get a few lessons close to home. Would 3 or 4 lessons help or would it be a waste of money?

thanks

There is no question about it Disneyland

I hope things get better soon:grouphug:

From the FAQ from Red Rose ranch, they do not require any prior experience, and you could even ride with your 7 year old if you wanted (on the same horse). However, I think it could only enhance the experience for him to have already been on a horse a few times -- that level of comfort would make it more enjoyable for him to enjoy what is different about this ride (the Mexican scenery, the beach, etc.). So if it's not too difficult, I would probably recommend a few lessons at home just so that he is not so caught up in the novelty of riding that he can't enjoy where he is doing the riding!
