Last time, my family flew over the morning of the cruise. THIS time, I'm not taking that chance!
But I looked at the cost of the rooms at DL....for just one night, w/o any packages...over $300. Ouch.
I found a place near the port that will transport us, and even run us on their shuttle to COSTCO to get "liquid supplies".

How far is the port from DL?

All Right....unless I missed it no one asked the question. First of all I wanted to know how... and then it dawned on me that you must have gotten a call from IC although I didn't see that spelled out anywhere so I have to ask.

I can't believe how fast this thread has grown! Is it perchance the rabbit genome thread!?!

I was lurking way back when it was under 10 pages and now it's nearing a gazillion.

Anyway, I'm signing on (with permission of the powers that be and the Cap't, of course) and am anxiously awaiting hearing from DU sometime on Wednesday to hear how much this cruise will bankrupt me! I've yet to tell DS that I'm even contemplating booking us on it, though he did find me watching a special about the Canal the other day and I did have some trouble not blurting it out!

So add us onto the list! One mom and one DS (who will be 12 at the time of the repo cruise).

WELCOME ABOARD....It will just be me and my 12yr DS too...He doesn't know it but this will be his 2nd Disney cruise. We're doing the Med Repo too and I haven't even told him about that one....Don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to hold out though....especially since he keeps watching over my shoulder when I'm getting caught up on the thread.

I am not sure but I think the single moms have started a thread meet somewhere. I think Down River Mama can tell you all about it. That in no way procludes you from your responsibility to laugh and participate in this chaos but they may be planning special things too.

We're definitely flying out to CA early too. We're just not sure exactly how early though, but for now the plan is a couple nights at one of the DL hotels using DVC points. That's gonna be a whole 'nother adventure, because we've never been to DL.

Our kids will be 8, 8, and 11 at the time.

Yes phone call not IC
I did not really understand what I had so I never really called it anything in particular. Honestly I had never heard the term IC before you guys but I also go through an agent so she does that technical mumbo jumbo. The ressie is also on the DCL website under the ressie number but no pricing details.
Don't know how much of that is transfer and insurance so I 'm not sure how much to subtract.

Late dining also allows me to get a workout in. I'm not in any way, shape or form a morning person (if I had my choice morning wouldn't officially start until 11 am) and I usually work-out in the evenings either after work or after dinner. Late dining allows me to get in my workout, time for primping and plenty of time for cocktails!

I have a hard time getting my boys to do the teen clubs, so I haven't really looked at much of that. I believe that our own Andrew Derek UK has his Navigators scanned in on another site; althought they would not have the special activites, they may have the general hours. That site may have the regular teen navigators. I go through the tribute site and click on the link on the bottom. Not sure if Andrew has the link on one of his pages.

Is your son good about organized activities? It seemed like they had very interesting things the time I went on the 3 day, but my guys just prefer to spend their time eating!
