Oh, my gosh. I can't believe I actually made it to the end. (for now)
I told myself I wasn't gonna post till I read the whole thread. You guys are hard to keep up with.
We were booked on the first EB Panama repo but had to cancel, so were gonna try again.
Okay, So I'll catch up....

I don't remember Shawn Cassidy, or even David(never seen an episode of the Partridge family). Barely remember the Donny and Marie show. I remember Andy Gibb from an episode of "Punky Brewster."

I don't like bugs, especially ones that fly. ewwww

Don't flame me but why is it the thread for the Eastbound repo racks up some 30-40 pages a day but the thread for the Westbound repo only has (as of 1/27) some 55 pages total? More enthusiasm over here or are the WB folks more and don't feel the need to share their excitement?

I believe that there are going to be more people able to cruise on the EB rather than the WB due to the school schedule. I'm sure that both threads will be hopping on 1/31 & beyond. The other thread has quite a few talkative DISGeeks as well.

Well I write with Bad News .....for the second time in 30 days my computer has crashed again ...Last time my computer lost both hard drives ....I have a sony and it runs in raid zero so its like 2 hard drives running as one ...anyway off in the morning to the techs to see if it can be repaired ...Last time I lost everything I had on my hard drive ...I am Hoping that I didnt lose everything again ....If I did Lisa when I get back up and running I sure hope you kept the PSD files of the logos and or banners that I sent you , otherwise I am going to have to redo them over again .....This sucks ...in a bad way ...

Anyway , hopefully I can check in from the lap top ...Have to work fast to be up and running by Wednesday ....Now I am stressed to no end ......eeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yes, I did save both files that you sent me. Don't stress. Also, you know that we all have pictures & such from the 12/9 cruise for you.

Posted this on another thread, re 8am 31st internet service.


If you log in and go to the DCL website before 8am, either keep hitting the refresh button the two green arrows at the top or under TOOLS make sure inadvance the internet option is always set for obtaining the newest screen each time, or keep deleteing internet history.

If you do not do this your computer will keep the previous screen in its memory and will show tat, not the updated screen.

I would confirm the internet service crashed badley in 2004 for 2005, and in 2005 for 2006 slowed down at times and rejected credit card payments at the end after doing everything. Also if the payment is higher than you usaully make let your credi tcard provider know in advance to expect the payment you do not want them to do a security check on it and stop it.

That is one reason I am a bit glad that I can't use the website to make our resies. Since I have an existing one and have to get it modified to keep the OBD & 10%, I have to call DCL to get this done.

COMPUTER UPDATE******

Well seems like I may have some good news ...the hard drives didnt crash and my files should be recovered ...It seems a have dowloaded a really bad corupted file along the way and it killed my windows ...So I should find out with in the hour if I will be back on line today ...(Dang , and I so wanted to get that 24" Mac I have been eyeing for a while ) So everyone keep your fingers crossed that I didnt lose the cruise logo files I had on my photoshop cs2 .....

Trying to keep up with things on the laptop ...I cant stand this little screen ...LOL

I'm glad things are lookin' up fer your computer, and I'd like to encourage you in getting the 24"er!

I find it humours how many of us have trouble keeping up with this thread, but Crash manages to not only keep up, but has a graphic for almost any occasion.

It is scary!!! How does he do that?

Just pick a couple of key words which narrow down what sort of image you have in mind to dredge up - use google IMAGE and search. Try to limit your choosen images to something under 400x400 or so for a large sized image. The image of the nun above is 250x255. And if you want an exotic animation - that will take a LOT more searching. I add "gif" and / or "animation" to the search words... then I scan and sample images that look from the thumbnails as if they might move. Then - you also should be considerate as to NOT post any huge animation files. TOo large or too elaborate may slow down the page loading for folks on dial up. SO I tend to limit my animations to really simple ones that are relatively small in size. Plus - I don't really post very many on a single page. Aside from that - I just click the googled thumbnail TWICE to bring up an isolated full size image of the file. I right click it and pull down to "properties". A smaller window will pop up and right there in the center is the URL. I click and drag to highlight it and do a control "C" to copy. You should be CAREFUL to drag over the ENTIRE URL... as some of the URL addresses are so long that you have to SCROLLL DOWN to highlight the THIRD line of the address (it's not visable unless you scroll down on it!). You know you've got it all when the line ends in JPG or GIF.... or something like that. Then I window over to the DIS and INSERT the image where I want it .... bracketed by the "

". And usually highlight the whole line and select from the top button bar to center it. You can look between the posting times for me - and you can see it does in fact take me a few minutes to dredge up - but ocasionally the results are worth a few chuckles.

Now you too can dig up a fun image to accompany a particularly funny or entertaining thought that's about to be posted. I don't mind searching - as a photo is worth a 1000 words. Unless you can't find the image you're looking for. I can't tell you how many times my searches were fruitless. Sometimes I search HARD for something and still come up empty handed. It's just hit or miss sometimes.

So I hope I've NOT opened a pandoras' box (now there's something to google, eh?). Post respectfully and judiciously.
