8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 2

Well I write with Bad News .....for the second time in 30 days my computer has crashed again ...Last time my computer lost both hard drives ....I have a sony and it runs in raid zero so its like 2 hard drives running as one ...anyway off in the morning to the techs to see if it can be repaired ...Last time I lost everything I had on my hard drive ...I am Hoping that I didnt lose everything again ....If I did Lisa when I get back up and running I sure hope you kept the PSD files of the logos and or banners that I sent you , otherwise I am going to have to redo them over again .....This sucks ...in a bad way ...

Anyway , hopefully I can check in from the lap top ...Have to work fast to be up and running by Wednesday ....Now I am stressed to no end ......eeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr

Aren't there 875 staterooms? and it appears 93 different individuals have posted "interest"...if each were to average one cabin, wouldn't that be about 10% of the ship? It's going to be crazy Wednesday.

I'm going for 2 staterooms and I know some others are too. So yes, it's going to be busy.

I'll probably be doing laundry on the ship too. The Med Repo is going to give me practice for this. We have such strict luggage limitations to Europe, there's no way I can bring enough clothes for 2 weeks. So by the time this cruise comes around, I will be an experienced 'on the ship laundry doer'.

We are used to this coming to the states often for three weeks, We used the DCL laundry very busy on sea days, even at 6am the men were sent to start things off an guard.

My wife left us to do the laundry part on Panama day she had seen PC before and lef me and the kids to it, and guess what it as very busy that day.

If traveling to Europe before the cruise try to do it in the hotel before embarking the magic as there is limited sea days.

good advice....we are visiting DLP first, so I will try to find some time before we catch the train down to Barcelona....I'm still going to have to find some time during the sail

... needless to say... but you sould consider resetting the RAID to run in setting TWO - so you have secure redundency. RIght now I run an annoying manual external redundancy between drives. But this won't last. I am casually waiting for a deal on a nice external RAID drive.

Hope this time around you have better luck recovering your data and system. Obviously, It seems strange to me that your system would crash again in less than 30 days? Are you not using any anti-virus? As a physical failure would have not recovered from the last repair ocassion. So the recurring cause might be an intermittent reception of a nasty virus???

Oh well... who knows?

I think there is guest laundry in the hotels there, I have stayed at Hotel New york at DLP didnt bother with laundry that time as it was a four day trip by Eurostar from London.

DL park at DLP is very simular to MK/DL, Walt Disney studios is small and with an early start you can finish in half a day say 3pm. That would be a good day and eat in the Hotel or Mc'D's
