wow, so many people with 1 or 2 posts....are they staing non-commited until booking?.....or did they get scared off by the pirate antics????

I was trying to stay non-committed and not post anything until I was booked. You can see how well I did with that. I have been following this thread and LMAO.

We were booked in 2005, but my school started a week earlier than I thought, so we had to cancel. I couldn't miss the first week of pharmacy school. (And that was after I had gotten my magnetic door sign from Andy!)

Fast forward to 2008, and the chance to try again. It's the summer before my final professional year, and I'll be starting my clinical rotations. I've decided that I will pick the absolute worst rotation assignments there are if that's what it takes to be off for the August block. And if not, in true pirate spirit, I'm sure my wife will shang hai me and get me on that boat.

So as of this moment, we are committed to be on the Repossession Cruise. After all, you've got to

Take What You Can!

Mike

From folks who have been on the other repo cruises, how many formal / semi-formal nights are there for dinner? Did folks conform to the dinner attire recommendations? I was sorely disappointed on our 1/13 at the number of boys and men in shorts at dinner - even on FORMAL NIGHT! Maybe I am just picking . . . though I tend to be a non-conformist . . .ummmmm . . .

That is ashame. We haven't had that experience, thought there is always at least one group who stands out. There have been 2 formal & 2 semiformal nights on the other Repo cruises. :)

Ahhh Lisa, you got it. I can't believe we are already at 3500 posts!

Angelina had me looking the Build-a-Bear website for a gift for her little cousin. Look what I found while searching the site. What a Bear!!!

DD just ran across the room to see this & of course....she wants one! :lmao: Good thing there isn't a store around here. ;)

I was reading my trip report for our 2005 PC Repo and one of my observations was that people dressed up nicely for formal night but semi-formal seemed to be code for wear whatever you want. I saw folks in jeans, sparkly dresses, and everything between.

Welcome, and DD tells me to say.....

GIVE NOTHING BACK!!!

Time to make dinner & let DD watch Cindy 3 so that she leaves me alone! OY!

DH just returned from emptying out the fireplace of all its ashes. In a very jolly tone, he reminded us that the Magic was just pulling out on its return to the Western. We were on it two weeks ago . . . having serious withdrawls now. Not sure if we can wait 18 months for the next adventure . . .VerandahMan . . .do you have a picture?

I guess that means it was 3 weeks ago that we were on the Eastern Magic. Only 81 more weeks to go til we're on her again!

Not the best capture, I had to take this from the Two Palms site as I was busy taking care of my patient and I missed the Magic sailing this evening. I have friends on the ship today and I told them I would capture the Magic as it sailed. I guess this pic will have to do.

Aye-- once again, I managed to catch up!
Took DH out to birthday dinner last night and DD to a musical theater audition as well as a cheerleading clinic this morning... squeezing in reading here and there!

Hey-- someone some pages back said something about having her son wear a matching Tux as DH but would likely need a larger one by the time we sail...
Got me thinking that once we all filter down to the actual sailors and get this web site going, we should have a trade/exchange/for sale board for things like barely used kids tuxes and dresses!

Ok, I am getting the guilt look from DH... Need to get off the computer and help with chores.:guilty: :laundy:

I thought at those bear making places you could purchase the Pirate clothes seperately??

I'm sure they do, I was just posting what I saw on their website. I was hoping they already had a monkey dressed up as a pirate, but alas it wasn't to be.

I showed the Pirate Bear to Angelina, she loved it, so I ordered her one. I even put my own voice message to the bear. The bear sings, "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me." I guess she will be getting it for  Valentine's Day.
