Because I didn't take into consideration that I might be the only one posting right now!! I'm talking to myself!!
Nope . . .I'm still here . . DH took the DSs to the batting cage (baseball is around the corner) and I'm suppose to be starting dinner . . .ummm

Drat! The 40 sec rule got me!
OK... did I get it???

Either way -- I gotta run now!

<cheers folks!>

Didn't mean to take the 000 from someone else. . . just plain luck . . .LOL

Okay, signing off for a bit to start that dinner!

Good idea. I always have a VERY detailed binder for each of these trips. I think all the maps were overkill last time, but we did occassionally use them. I think we'll need maps in LA.

Is the airport in Long Beach closer to DL than LAX? The thoughts having DH drive in LA traffic is terrifying. Wonder if could give him something to knock him out so I could drive in peace :) . . . LOL.

Long Beach is closer and John Wayne/Orange County is closer still (by 4 miles). You have to weigh a few things...(a) more direct/non-stop flights to LAX than the others (b) usually cheaper to LAX (c) LGB much easier to navigate (d) SNA closest and friendliest and also easy to negotiate from plane to bags to car rental to the freeway. But driving on the freeways? It's no joke if you aren't used to it and you're there at the wrong time of day :crazy2: 3 freeways from SNA, 2 from LAX or LGB Correction: It's not the freeways that would get you, it's the interchanges!

 Hows about we do this:
We'll all pitch in for the rental of some really really big vans...
Then the CA natives (you know...the ones who already know how to navigate those freeways...) could drive those vans and come pick us all up at the airport...
How many Cali natives do we have??? We could make all of the CA people be the "official DIS drivers"!!!!
Sound good??? :confused3

AHOY!!

Save us some rum!!

Well, we got our quote and we're doing it! Cat 6 & Cat 11 GTY for the 5 of us, and friends in another cat 11. Hope they're near each other!

Now I can get really OC about planning this trip. Although it sounds like others are more type A than me with vacation planning. I only have a small folder, so I must be Type Lowercase a.

And I'll have to figure out how exactly we're working DL into this trip. I can't go to Ca and not go there.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Congrats Mike!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Okay so I have been doing some math:
I have 3 cabins so $20 a day from now unitl the cruise ought to do it.

Todd - Can you check into this please? The May hours for DL have been posted and May 19 they are closing early. Perfect timing for the premiere right?

I think you asked earlier about linking Dining. On another thread, someone volunteered to get all of our info and coordinate the table sets. We all were in the same seating, and our tablemates were felloYw dis-ers. All you need is everyone's reservation number.

Hi Coral, Yes it will be great to see you all as well. FYI, "Squirt" is due in May, and will also be in the room with us...

Do ya think Mark and Mary will make the cruise?
