Lisa - if it's any consolation, we'll have to cancel our 2007 cruise also. That will pay off about 1/2 of this one so I think it's worth it.

Elenita - Sorry you have a tough decision to make. I got a cat 11 for around $3500 (don't know what it is now though). Could you maybe step down a cat or two? Good Luck that something can be worked out.

Even though I read 6700+ posts, I having trouble remembering everyone. I'm sure the next 18 months will change that.

Listen, can someone ask my boss if I can have two weeks off in a row during August 2008!

Thanks. The deposit is paid so we have time to live with this for a while & make the right choice for us. Friends who are going on the May repo from our last cruise have planned to meet us in WDW the week before so that is still an option for us that wont have the same price tag as a cruise. The 12/8/07 cruise was going to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I would enjoy nothing better in place of a cruise than a week in WDW.

We're considering cancelling our 15th anniversary cruise this summer, so I know the feeling.

I keep telling myself that taking the kids through the canal is a once in a lifetime experience.

Thanks all....Yes, my TA worked magic...couldn't get an SPH, but she got my next choice, a sideways Cat 11 on Deck 5 and a Cat 8 for my parents across the hall.

My price was very decent and lower than I expected. But I'm going to have to really work on my parents to put up this much money. I had told them I thought it might come in around $5k, but its slightly over $6k. Hopefully I can get them to at least put down the deposit, then think it through....or maybe even get them a Cat 10 or 11 after the cancellations come in.

Regardless of what they decide, my DS and I are on.

Speaking of which, I've got to go pick him up now. I hope I don't come back to another 25 pages.

Has anyone heard if Disney will be honoring their re booking discount or on board credit? We have a total of 3 cabins reserved and we've only gotten confirmation that we are booked no prices or price breakdowns yet.

LOL Captn! YOU I KNOW!! and Lisa, and Judy, and Diane, and Andy, and......well, all the others you have posted religiously since the beginning! I've followed it all, seen the pics, read the stories, know the clans too! But somewhere over the last day or two, everything has become a HUGE BLUR!

BTW, you're as an authentic Captain Jack Sparrow as there could be!

Aren't we going to have a blast??!!???

Oh, and I always come on a cruise with a 100 pound backpack of booze! I like to make friends! And us Cruisin' Castaways always travel with out blenders too!
