I know our TA at DU had us booked on the repo by noon. (It was a transfer, so I had a res. # to check on DCL site. It shows the repo itin.)
Still haven't heard from them, but that is understandable. They have a lot of paperwork and updating to do. Don't lose hope.

I spoke with my TA from DU this afternoon and I'm sure the reason she called me was because the only thing that she could get for us with a transfer of our exisiting ressie was a cat 9 and we specified 6, 7 or 8. I ended up doing the 6, which she had booked for us first thing this morning on-line for not much more than the cat 9 - yes I lost my obc and 10% but in the end I got what we really wanted. We're going to make that up by eating out less and cutting corners here and there.

My guess is, if you haven't heard you probably shouldn't worry. Though I must admit this has been the most stressful day of my life and I'm surprised I didn't end up with an ulcer!

Consider yourself lucky to have ANY room let alone at a good price. I really don't think griping about why it isn't as low as someone elses is worthwhile. Your TA obviously did a great job ------appreciate it. Atleast you did not sit on hold today for 5 hours and then get hung up on.........

Oh I agree. I wasn't griping about it not being as low as others for the same thing (it was still very close!) but I was hoping to get cat 7 instead of cat 6. I'm sure she got me what she could and I'm so glad I gave her a list in order of preference so she could run down that! What would have happened if I'd told her just cat 7 and cat 11? Either nothing or perhaps she would have just booked us whatever she could get- we may have ended up with no verandah at all. And it's still possible that once the dust settles we can change this to cat 7 and open up the cat 6 for someone that really wants it.

Amen to atleast I did not sit on hold for 5hrs and then get hung up on! That is so awful. I feel sick for the people that happened to. And I pray they do end up getting the rooms they wanted.

Okay! Well here is a good story. I was on hold for 2.5 hours today and transferred 2 ressies with the glorious (I use the term loosly) OBC and OBD. I have a fax sent and it is our original ressies. So, I booked online before the cruise sold out and just got finished switching reservations. I had to talk to a supervisor and complained about the process in which they open new dates and make us CALL in to transfer reservations. I am no better now with my glorious discounts than if I had booked online @ 8:00 am with no discounts (plus I would have had a room number and early dinning). INSERT SCREAM!

Why am I still coming back on here ! Haven't I had enough for one day? My hand hurts, head hurts, eyes hurts oh yeah I remember now, wan't to still cheer on ye matey's. and a little PD doesn't hurt either.

WOW.. youleave to have dinner and 2.5 hrs later your all caught up onthe postings..

We called DCL again and had some more questions to ask.. they said after SUNDAY they will have more rooms opened due to people not paying the deposits..So ANDy there is still hope for you and anyone else that is still looking..

I am not sure if I asked this before but does anyone know what aiport is better to fly into Burbank or LAX??

They told me this means that we are guaranteed a room at the catagory we wanted with the possibilty of higher. But they have to see what rooms are avail after all ressies are made... I think it makes it faster on a busy daylike today...

Hi everyone... I just got home from work so now I guess I get to vent about our TA and her big goof today.... I think Mike is way to nice.. If she doesn't fix it then I will call and write a letter or 2. Her mistake should not cost me 2K... There maynot be anything she can do about the room but the price should be made up by her company. Thats at least how I feel about it....

Put me in the boat with those who haven't heard a thing yet.
I spent most of today coming to terms with the idea that we may not be on this cruise. I told my DH that the cost of this cruise was only a bit more than the 7 day Mex Riv cruises (which we have done before) but I may be proved a liar if this comes back at almost twice the cost.

Fingers crossed still, but can't shake that sinking feeling...

ETA- just checked DCL website and my "dummy" reservation is still showing under our ressie number. I can't think that is good.

Will have to see if DISNEY LAND is in the future as well....

Terry.. that chesse platter did look a bit tempting.. after our Aug cruise I made that so many times.. Love the baby bella, brie and of course the smoked gouda..lol

Sure---GTY means you are guaranteed atleast the category booked or better. You will difinitely have a room. It can really be advantageous if you ask me.We have been upgraded much higher by them not having a room where we booked.

Long Beach is the best -- JetBlue flies in there, as do many other airlines.
