Time for me to get some shut eye.

That looks good enough for breakfast to me!!! One of my favorites!!! Celebration Cake!!!!!! Friday night's menu. :cloud9:

OK, so I'm going to the Governor's Inaugural Ball tomorrow night. Don't be impressed, it is pretty much as medium-sized fish in a very small pond sort of thing. So here is my question: Who makes for better arm candy - DH or Mickey??:lmao:
DH:
cruise2004steveandm.jpg

You both look pretty spiffy! :goodvibes

Thanks Andrew! That is an awesome souvenir. What an incredible sight the canal must be.

Hopfully they will do the same deal, o a different book next time, I think maybe some if it comes with the Panama cost to DCL? or cheap add ons for them.

It was help to understand and consider in advance anything you wish to see and copare it to the Navigators and suggested times at each point of interest.

Say...

... I must ask... how is it YOU got 3 tags from the tag fariy with under 1000 postings - and I have 3000+ postings and NO tags? What gives :confused3

I only count 2 but sometimes it just takes saying the wrong/right thing in the right thread at the right time to be noticed by the tag fairy. :)

LOL
Who knows.
You should join my little known club of "unlucky people without tags".
Now after I post this, I shall see how many posts I have. I'm betting it's a lot. :rotfl:

I had almost 8000 posts before getting my self appointed tag colorized & added to by the tag fairy. It was last fall after 3 1/2 years on the boards.

So I was shooting the breeze with one of my Security folks today after reading about this repo. I was joking around about foreign travel reporting requirements...

Me: "Say xxxx, is 20 months' notice was sufficient notice for foreign travel?" (We have to provide 30 days notice or ASAP for las minute trips.)
JG:  "Uh sure, but I think you should wait until a little closer to your trip! Hell I may not even be here come next year. Uhhhh how is it that you can have trip dates for a vacation in late 2008?"
Me: "Oh, well it's a Disney Cruise! Went on one before and it was great! This is a special one because the are going to sail out of California for a while so there are two 2-week cruises through the Canal to repo.. reposition the ship."
JG: "A cruise? Sounds expensive! Canal...the Panama Canal? You're going to Panama?"
Me: "Well if you think about it, a cruise is more cost effective than an air/hotel/destination-based vacation...plus you only have to unpack once! ;) Yes, the Panama Canal but no, we're not stopping in Panama. The ports of call are Cabo, Puerto Vallarta (we went there for our anniversary), Mazatlan or Acapulco I forget which, then through the Canal with a stop in Cartagena and then on to Disney's private island in the Bahamas and finally back into Port Canaveral, Florida. So if you think about it, we'd spend a LOT more money flying around to those places plus hotel costs etc."
JG: "Okay that soun----wait! Did you say Cartagena? Cartagena, COLUMBIA?!?!?":scared:
Me: "Well of course Columbia silly...Cartagena, Spain is totally out of the way! Besides, that's a different set of repo cruises!" :rotfl:
JG: :headache: "Dude! Why do you have to cause me so much @^&#% trouble!? (heh heh long story there) Do you know what kind of paperwork I have to process because you want to go to @@%$# COLUMBIA?!?!?!?" :headache:
Me: "Well look, it's a Disney Cruise! Nothing is going to happen to us. Hell, I'm not even taking my gun. And it's not like we're staying there for a week! The ship only stays in port for 8-10 hours at most."
JG: :sad2: "Harumph!! Well we'll have to talk more about this later--like when 2008 rolls around! Toublemaker!"
So while this may cause them some paperwork, I really don't care! pirate: I'm getting on that ship and they aren't going to stop me!! :goodvibes

WOW!!!!

No no, I'm a Citizen ;) It's the job. Columbia is one of "those" countries that gets our Security folks :headache: riled up!

Yeah I forgot poor Aruba! But they won't care about Aruba as much as that other place :sad2:

ROFL! Yeah, a stop in Columbia kind of makes Aruba more like....well....WDW. :lmao:

Andrew, thank you so much for sharing those pictures & facts. I had no idea there was a difference of 85 feet!!!! WOW! It looks beautiful & makes me want to get a room on this cruise even more!

Regarding the 31st, I had some bad news the other day

I work for the Government here in the UK and the main trade union for Government employees has announced a one-day strike for Wednesday. There will be thousands on strike all over the country.

I had already decided to take the day off in order to be at home for when the phones open at DCL (1:00 in the afternoon for us in the UK), BUT as I'm a manager with staff working in what will be a difficult environment, I MUST go into work to show support for all the staff who are actually there.

I have reluctantly decided that whatever happens I am leaving at 11:50 to travel home :car: and get to the phones by 1:00. ;) And no, I cannot phone the USA from work as the British taxpayer would have a fit.:lmao:

I think this a fair compromise !!:thumbsup2

You can also reduce the size of Captain Jack's banner to give you more bytes power, LOL!!! :rotfl:

No play practice for Angelina today, I just sent her back to bed, she is running a  101* fever, she is also complaining of a sore throat and earache. I'll be playing doctor this weekend with Hazel being away.

Hope that she feels better soon!

David, don't these people know you have a 15 day cruise to book for 2008, honestly, the nerve of some people!!! :lmao:

Best of luck to you, I hope you don't run into any traffic jams on the way home Wednesday. ;)

Thanks Lisa!!! Just got in from dropping Hazel off, now I really must step away from my laptop and take care of some bill paying, most was already done online, but I have to enter everything into the checkbook. Usually I have my income taxes done by February 1st each year, I have a feeling they won't be done by February 1st of this year, especially since I haven't even started getting anything in order. :rotfl:

It's official, I've given up trying to keep up with this thread.

Therein lies another problem - for the last two weeks there has been road re-surfacing on the road between where I live and where i work and there has been a ten mile diversion through country roads. I actually missed a doctor's appointment because of the road-works. Work is only going on from 09:30 to 16:30 to avoid rush-hour traffic.

The re-surfacing should have finished yesterday but it was apparent that it's going to take a few more days yet so fingers and everything else is crossed for a fast and easy journey home next Wednesday.

Good Morning! Happy Saturday! It's a gray day here in SE MI, but it's 40*.

I had the weirdest dream last night about the cruise. I told some friends what I was thinking of doing and they all got mad at me! I woke up thinking what did I do? Least there were no grounghogs in my dream!

Nothing exciting to do today except CLEAN!!!! :laundy:

Andrew those picture are great. Andy hope your dd feels better. Wow, I see I'm up to 40 posts. I'm getting there.

You never know about the tag fairy. I just glad I didn't say something really stupid! It was weird. I didn't have any tags and within a week I had 2!
