8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 2

We're at 12 right now...and it's supposed to get down to 5 or 6 tonight...wind chills in the negative numbers...BRRRR....

12 degrees dropping to 5-6!!!!???

Doesn't nitrogen FREEZE at 14?

Well... all "12" means is ... more intense cuddling with pals

be it a spouse, S.O., children or pet...

and for what it's worth I've never experienced a white Christmas...

... an I used to think "wouldn't it be grand to have a 4 seasons year?

As opposed to the 2 seasons we get in CA.​

The funny thing is, we very rarely get a white Christmas here, either. I think it was like 60 degrees here on Christmas!! LOL

It just gets pretty cold come mid-late January.

DH also had to get a couple of the ports OK'd with security at work (I've been lurking - man is it hard to keep up!!!) - I told him I didn't even care if they told us we couldn't go ashore - as long as we could do the cruise....but I guess it all went through the approval process or whatever....

Wow looks like DH's security folks are actually on the ball! Mine of course are pretty decent (unlike my last facility, they were a bunch of humourless b******s!) but they are still chewing on the whole pot call to Columbia! So I pretty much told the one guy the same thing you did--I don't care what they eventually decide, we're going on this cruise! I mean it's not like we're going to Columbia and then over to the Caymans!

What are online rewards?

I do Sunshine rewards - they have slowed down a bit since they first started out, I also do MyPoints, and some of the polls: Harris,Lightspeed. Where I can't get cash or Disney gift cards - I get something practical for where I shop anyway...like Target, then we buy things we would anyway and I get the cash equivalent. May seem silly to some - but to me it is like "mad or rainy day money" - we just have fun with it! (I also do UPromise - but we add that to DD's college fund...)

That's a shame...

... I'm truly sorry to hear that. I have friends on the DIS who were entangled with questionable circumstances too - not to say who was right or wrong - only that it was an unfortunate incident - and hurtful remarks were dropped... needlessly.

I was involved with that I believe - although only in the "can we please keep it off the cruise thread" area (not the actual incident itself)....I meant well and apologize if any of my remarks came off badly and didn't reflect that - I regret having said anything at all...and hope there are no hard feelings!

I just asked DH last night if he needed any special clearance for Columbia or if it was just a federal thing. He said he didn't care - and he probably won't get off in Columbia anyway. I'm trying to change is his mind back the other way now (looks like I did too good a job getting it changed before).
