It looks like we will be joining you!!! I called and booked one of the openings last night and I still can't believe it. I mean, it's been booked for so long I hadn't even given the Panama trip a serious thought. If it hadn't been for the DIS boards, I would never have known.

This will be our 5th trip on the Magic. It's me, DH, DD-13 (turning 14 Sept. 6) and DS-10 (turning 11 Sept. 9) I haven't had a chance to, and realistically doubt I will, read all of the past pages. So, are there any other young teens going?

I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Our family (DH, DS (13), DD (12) and me) will be joining you all as well . Trish our wonderful travel agent has been sitting on the computer and checking every 15 minutes or so today and snagged us a CAT8. I can't believe we've actually managed to get on the ship . It will be our second cruise - we did a 4day on the Wonder in AUG07. Looking forward to getting caught up on all that has been written on this thread.

Although right now, I am on her good side since we celebrated our 16th anniversary last night (a week early since she is in Paris next week) and I went the 'shiny things' route and got her 1/2 carat diamond earrings so she is very happy for a change with me.

Of course it is not as nice as last year when we were on the Magic for our anniversary....

My guess after the big cancellation some T/A's grabbed some rooms on 'hold' and kept them for 24/48 hours, and if their clients didn't pay up in time, they went back to DCL, and released today.

Also the availability is good news for anyone concerned about GTY status, it means DCL is very happy with the number of bookings and they wouldn't release more rooms if the cruise was 'too' overbooked.

So I'm thinking ALOT of rooms opened up? Looks like the Buyers Remorse Syndrome is kicking in the closer we get. On the bright side, maybe upgrades for those already booked. I can dream can't I?

I think a 'reasonable' amount have opened up, there was a post on the main board that someone canceled and they had a high number of rooms.

I guess 'buyer remorse' will kick in just before 90 days, then people might not be able to come up with the cash or have other uses for it.

Upgrades, well sorry to disappoint, but as this is a Panama crossing and many people want their own 'reserved' viewing area for the canal, IE a Verandah, my guess there will be very few upgrades.

Welcome to the Northeast. Perhaps we should have given you the rules:

Flurries = everyone forgets how to drive
1" of snow = All government grinds to halt
6" of snow = All above rules, but all us gas hog SUV drivers can go anywhere (please call a tow truck, my super SUV is stuck)
12" of snow = All above plus, government officially shut down, tickets from law enforcement if you leave your driveway, SUV drivers all stuck at Home Depot or Lowes trying to buy snowblowers (all sold out) or salt (sold out) or shovel (sold out)
24" of snow = All above plus, police towing SUVs stuck, as soon as you have your driveway clear, snowplow will deposit 48" of gunk at end of driveway, several murders over cleared street parking spots, civilization jeopardized

Coating of ice = all SUV drivers "I have 4 wheel drive so I can still do 90." Insurance companies work overtime for SUV claims.

You forgot the rule about the mandatory french toast. No milk, bread or eggs anywhere in a 25 mile radius.

If anyone is waitlisted for main dinning you may want to check your reservation. We were on the waitlist and I checked this week when rooms became avaliable and Disney did change our dining.
