Oh yum! Hey Diane - wasn't it you who always brought breakfast to the thread in the early days?

oh, the ou stories..let's just say when i was running around them
parts, there was a "bojangles, & kommeni saugge sandwiches....
& the legal ..age was 18. my dorm ..was across from the gym.,
sooooo that meant walking..up the hill...into town...& around the
bend. vaguelly..there was a place where cthe second floor was
dancing....:dance3: ..& girls too. ahhh, i almost forgotten....

That was most likely the Greenery. Athens doesn't have too many 2 story bars. Sounds like you lived on West Green. That's where I was for 2 years.

Hi all I am new to this thred, I tried reading from the begining I only got as far as the posts on January 24th 2006!:rotfl2: before giving up and saying this is nuts to read through it all.

Anyway as of posting this I am booked on the Eastbound Cruise with a Cat 9 and late dinning wait listed for early dinning. I am aslo planning on making my first ever trip to Disneyland.

I will post other info upon requst.

:welcome:

Thank you for choosing Captain Jack's Repositioning Repossession Thread (now non-smoking).

Please remain seated, securely fasten you safety belt, and keep you head and arms inside the thread at all times.

We are arriving Friday, and Saturday will be our day at Disneyland. No way will we leave DL that early, so that leaves us with a very early Sunday morning Mass. Oh well....we probably won't get much sleep that night anyway. :goodvibes

Oh you're good. We usually just skip Mass on vacation.
Heck, we sometimes skip Mass if there is a good football game. :rolleyes1 DH is in charge of that, he's the Catholic one. I just go along for the ride.

Here is a question for the Disneyland experts. How far is it to St. Boniface Catholic Church? It says they are located near Harbor Blvd. and Lincoln Ave. Is it too far or too busy to walk straight up Harbor, or would we need to catch a bus or taxi?

They have a 6:45am English speaking Mass on Sunday if anyone else is interested.

You are GOOD Deanna! We usually skip church while on vacation but seeings how we are going to be away so long (18 days!) I would like to try and get mass in one of the Sat nights or Sundays, if possible. 6:45 is really early for us (well, me!) - I'm going to have to check them out and see what other masses they offer.

Hey Stace, how did you make out today at PT?

Edited to add:
Never mind, I see you were posting as I was typing.............;)

Andy...I don't know what we're going to do with you and I.....Now that I'm walking, my stupid knee is giving me fits!! :sad2: I think it might just be (for one thing) the fact that I haven't used it in so long, but also OUR change of weather. :confused3 Guess I'll be getting myself some Theragesic!

And if you have any left-over, you won't need to leave chat to let the dog out....:lmao: probably shouldn't have gone there....:confused3

Glue is a popular way of treating kids with facial lacerations these days.

The installation of a doggie door has been a real time saver. ;)

And I had no idea they were gluing people (or dogs) back together. Will wonders never cease. I wonder if I would have healed better if they had glued me???

I know my DH would LOVE to glue my mouth shut sometimes. :headache: :rotfl:

Welcome aboard! I would hazard a guess that less than 1% of the posts on here are actual cruise planning at this point - mostly it's just us trying to get know one another and having some fun along the way! I think it would take the patience of a saint to try and read all the posts made since way back when (and a heck of a lot of time too!). Jump in when you feel like it and never worry about asking a question or two and it getting lost in the shuffle - we're more than happy to answer anything we can and if needed, answers can always be pm'd!

Hi Lorri!!! Thought for a minute there I was talking to myself.
Whew. Good thing, or I'd have to start ANOTHER type of therapy.

LOOOOONNNGGGG day. The girls are just now getting dinner on the table and then I think I'm calling it a night.

I was thinking the same thing. So, we may have to take a taxi. The distance isn't bad, but that early in the morning.......

A lot of times, you can have the front desk of your hotel arrange to have a taxi waiting for you in the morning...especially if it's earlier than the time taxi's might normally start lining up. We've done this.

I think I better sign up for that other therapy - I talk to myself all day long!

Glad to hear that you're on the mend (albeit slower than you wanted or anticipated!).

Enjoy dinner - just don't fall asleep until AFTER you've left the table.

Oh yum! Hey Diane - wasn't it you who always brought breakfast to the thread in the early days?

Nope that was Tina. I miss Tina!

I haven't attended Mass for 38 years.

Oh, wait. I'm not Catholic.

Ahoy Crew -

I received the following email from our printer today.

Esteri

I don’t know if this is still needed but here it comes.

I wasn’t really happy with any of the methods I was presented with to do your shirts.

To print on the black shirts in screen print four color process, would need to have white printed first, and the colors and the resolution really gets lost. We looked at doing screen printed transfers and that was ok but the resolution & quality was just not there and the detail in the print would have been lost.

We traveled to a convention in Indianapolis the first week of September and at that time found a new solvent digital printer that has the ability to print on a transfer base white film with 540 dpi resolution.

I have ordered this new digital wide format machine and will have it shortly. The quality is fantastic!

If you are still in need of this project I would be happy to print some samples up and get them to you.

The banners, pillow cases, and other items are also listed.

Thank you,

Walt Markus

I've let Walt know that he still has the project. He hadn't heard from us in a while as we'd decided to combine everything into a single order in the May 2008 timeframe. I've also asked that he send along the samples. Perhaps we can pass them around from DIS meet to DIS meet.

With the new technology pricing has changed. The good news is there are no more set up charges! (I'm reconfirming this with Walt, just to be certain.) As well, every piece we order counts towards the total quantity discount.

These are the estimated prices for t-shirts (estimated, as I've only taken a stab at sales tax, etc. in order to get this news out to you quickly.)
...................<200.... <300.... <400.... >401
Adult Black... $20.00.. $18.50. $16.25.. $15.25
Adult White.. $18.50.. $17.00. $15.00.. $14.00

Child Black.... $18.50.. $17.00. $14.50.. $13.75
Child White.... $16.00. $14.25. $12.75.. $12.00

He also sent prices for printing only on stuff that I send him - pillow cases and the like. I'll figure that out later.

Sorry about all the periods, it was the only way I could figure out to get the columns to line up.

Just to keep folks in the Magic mood....

Here's a bunch of pics I took last week on the Magic

Hello,

I'm just checking in ta say hello. For unknown reasons I'm in a huff... maybe cuz my spouse is in a huff. She has something agitating her (someone else at her company is clearly NOT doing thier job) and so she was annoyed - and thankfully she's not venting AT me ... but just annoyed. Oh well...

So - I'm sort of watching Over the Hedge on HD cable. We've seen it before but it is kind of cute ... and in HD. The turtle just had all the BBQ implements fall point first towards him - missing.

TOmorrow is probably going to be a long haul day for me. Lotta driving to get around to my "chores".

If anyone has anything nice to say - I'll enjoy vicariously living your "fun" day while I try to forget about the stuff that agitates us over here. We're not much into the Disney ornaments since we are rarely at home for Christmas - although this year will probably be a year we do stay close to home for the holidays. So we don't do much of a tree - but do fluff up the exterior with lights.

Anyone else like the fact Bush thumbed his nose at China by receiving the Dalai Lama at the White House? The Dalai Lama, has lived in exile in India since staging a failed uprising against Chinese rule in 1959, won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 and he is to receive a Congressional Gold Medal (the highest honor a civilian may receive from Congress) on Wednesday.

President George W. Bush, who has met with the Dalai Lama on three previous occasions, will attend the ceremony, the first time that a sitting U.S. president has appeared with him in public. Previous recipients of the medal include Pope John Paul II, Mother Teresa of Calcutta and former South African President Nelson Mandela.

Tibet, under Chinese authority since the 1750s, had varying degrees of autonomy until the Chinese Communist Party came to power in 1949, prompting a failed revolt in 1959. The Dalai Lama then fled to India and has since called for Tibetan self-rule.

Oh well... so much for this tid - bit of news.
