I don't worry about X-Mas shopping anymore. It's just my parents,Kevin and I. And we're all at that point where we don't need anything anymore. I'm usually happy to get something done around the house. Last year I got new swing in patio doors. This year, I want to paint the kitchen. I'm thinking yellow walls and white cupboards.

Oh no Stacey, I would never accuse or even think that you wouldn't care for you furr baby as much as I do Harley. Speaking of Harley:dogdance: and eating things he shouldn't....I found a half eaten toad stool/mushroom on the back stoop earlier in the week. This was after he had thrown up and wimpered most of the day before. I immediately scoured the yard looking for more. And he's also decided to nibble on the railroad ties that we have along the fence, now when he tosses his cookies,I find bits of wood. At this rate,he'll be lucky to see 9 months.

Yep...we have a "mock" orange bush....or is it a tree?....out back that he loves to chew on. And I'm thinking now that it's that stupid chewing of the bush that's making him sick. :sad2:

Thanks for the comments on the pirate costumes. Mine is was bought from various places, from the local Ren Faire, to various online places. It still needs some work (not sure I like the color of the pants), and I might grow a beard to look more like Gibbs. DW made hers at home, with the exception of the belt. We've still a bunch of time to make improvements, but even Rachel stopped us and congatulated us, so we're headed in the right direction.

I'm sure they'll both be better come TOAL :thumbsup2

Andy

Laurie, I had a partial knee replacement on my left knee in March 2001, that knee has been doing well since then, it's the right knee that is giving me all the trouble now. My ortho doc said the partial replacement I had done should last 10-15 years, then I would need the total replacement. I'm not sure if we are going to try a partial replacement on the right knee, or go for the total replacement if the pain gets any worse. :confused3

I tried one of those heating bandages you were talking about, I had a bad reaction, so I'm not going to be trying them again. :sad2:

My DW had a total hip replacement when she was 49. She is doing so much better. Before her surgery, she was in so much pain she could hardly walk. I even brought a wheelchair home from work incase she needed it. The only problem she has is with some stiffness from time to time, but at least she doesn't have the severe pain any longer. :upsidedow

How long did it take for your DW to be fully recovered from the hip replacement ?
Now I know who to go to for advice on those joint replacemnts. You sound like you have it down pat:thumbsup2
Hoping for a mild winter for you:hug:

Do people look at you strange when you say Buffy? :lmao:

Loved that show!:cool1:

Actually, I was reluctant to admit that I liked the show for the longest time. It was years of watching it before I found out that my sister and both brothers watched it as well:goodvibes

I used to watch that sometimes with Adam. (Maybe more than sometimes) He was in love with Sarah Michelle Geller.:)

Now I had a crush on one of her boyfriends, Riley (Marc Blucas):lmao:

I had to quote this because DH was horribly rude to me too when we met! We weren't playing crazy eights, we were at a bar, but I swore at him! He thought it was cute!

He doesn't think it's so cute anymore! :rolleyes1

Funny how opposites attract AND manage to stay together:lmao:

Wow... Long weekend for me, so I have a lot of ketchup to do..

Next you will accuse me of fluffing to a pirate:

Not on a G-Rated forum.

1) What is your SHOE SIZE?

8 WW

2) What is your favorite television show or series?
I think the only things we make the time to watch are NCIS & Battlestar Galactica

3) What is your favorite big screen MOVIE?
To see on the big screen? Gone with the Wind or Star Wars
Released on the big screen? The Quiet Man

4) What was your favorite subject and class in school/college/post grad school?
Subject? History (Elizabethan, specifically)
Class? Theatre Abroad - a 2 weeks in England, got to see some great shows, the backstage of the Royal Ballet Theatre, Royal Shakespere and some fab. museums.

5) Where/how did you 1st meet your SO (or last hot date?) ... I kno ... its' a potentially a loaded question.
At our local Renaissance Faire - I suckered him into a gig & it's been downhill from there.

6) Have you ever broken any bones? How?
Nope.

7) Do you have a favorite flavor of ice cream (substitute any dessert if desired)
When I can get it Rick's Rather Rich Computer Chip... More often Ben & Jerry's Neopolitian Dynomite

A few minutes earlier and you could have gotten your third!
Ya know, he doesn't actually NEED any encouragement.

DW is down in WDW for a Grils Gone Wild
Now THAT's an image - where's Crash & his pictomatic when we need him?

Also YES you do all scare us Brits off!!!!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
If that's so, what's your excuse? :cool2: :rolleyes1 You don't seem overly bothered...

I used to watch that sometimes with Adam. (Maybe more than sometimes) He was in love with Sarah Michelle Geller.:)
We actually ate lunch once at a table across from her in the Blue Bayou... too darn polite to ask for an autograph, though.

I believe I HAVE heard some cheering...and it HELPS!!

I know I've been a bit of a whiner these past 5 weeks, and I do apoligize for that......but I can't begin to tell you how good it feels to be finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

...and you haven't been whining. That's what friends are for, silly.

Andy - great pic. 919 photos in 7 days, (large gulp) does that mean approx 2000 for the TOAL?!?!
I'd bet on more than that. New places, new faces & all that rot.

Here is the headline for tomorrow AM papers:

Pirate Wench Makes Good and Takes What She Can!

I won the cake dive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY!!! Chrissie!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Forgot to mention why I've been so busy...

We joined a gym close by & I've been swimming almost every day this week. Saturday, we went to the wedding of two friends, today our washer broke, I finished Mike's new "Bank of Dad" Hawaiian shirt, cleaned up & went back to the gym.

Oh yeah, and I started packing for our Kauai trip. We leave in a week. 8 days, 2 non-stop flights, and 1 4 year old. Should be fun.:fish: :boat:

Andy great picture! I was waiting for you to post a picture without your hat and photoshop some muttonchops on you for Mr. Gibbs. You know we still need one to make our cast complete. Glad to hear you had a great trip.

Stace I am sure that tastes way better to him than a toad.;) Hopefully, he will learn he can't chew on that.

I had noticed that as well, as he says he works for the government, I presume they have called him into action, on his 007 status, and currently is deep under cover, ( maybe bed covers knowing our agents).

arrrrghieatyou.gif

Actually I did see a recent post from him on the UK, dis if I can find it I will prompt him over here.

He made a post September 22nd there, maybe more, I sent him a PM to report in!

Also YES you do all scare us Brits off!!!!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ooo... Reallly? I had no idea being a secret agent automaticly involved so much under the cover work. I guess it must be really chilly in the "field".

Calling all BRITs!

Com'on Back!

We miss yer neighborly conversation!

I'm just guessing...

... that most of us here know what injuries can be like - and how a long revovery can be. I know folks who have semi-permananet chronic injuries - as I'm sure many of us know of - so - not to say your challenges are semi-permanent - but we do, as a community, understand. Without a doubt... and it's obvious we're a decent and respectfully caring community.

Get well soon Stace.

It took a few months to fully recover, but the PT had her up the day after surgery walking with a walker. Even then, she said she felt so much better then before the surgery. I'm pretty sure she had about 12 weeks of PT following the surgery.

And so..............another week begins...............happy Monday morning all.................
