What is a "safe" time to book return flights from MCO on the 1st? I need to get back at a reasonable time to get everyone ready for the first day of school on the 2nd.

We will get off from 7.35am, 1 hour transfer, 3 hour check in, 11.30am?
Is there a certain time that the podcast is usually available? I can't wait to hear what they have to say! :yay:

Not sure, but during the day, probably USA am.

Woke up feeling not so hot. Scratchy throat and sinus tension... plus some other minor stuff I'll fluff over instead of posting... HOWEVER, having been up about 15 minutes now and cleaned up some - and after having had an initial bananna to satrt off I am begining to feel better. In fact I am beginning to approach a normal feeling condition - aside from being simply hungry. I have some lite breakfast heating already and am discussing our options for the day with the older daughter.

So - I think somehow we might have picked up something at the Bucca - or the beach? However, nobody we encountered wqas obviously ill or expected to be inconsiderate in hanging with us if they KNEW they were ill. So... I tend to believe we probably encountered someone who was on the cusp of being ill at Bucca most likely. Since the beach was so sparsely populated while Bucca was a zoo - last nite was homecoming at one of the local high schools so th kids were out in some force. Which gives rise to a seperate line of conversation all by itself.

OK.. gotta serve some chicken noodle soup and break bread.

If it were me I would try for early afternoon just in case there is a slight delay for some reason. I would rather have plenty of time to get off at our leisure & maybe grab a bite to eat at the airport if we were early.

At this point I think we are going to visit my sister who lives north of Orlando & try for an early flight on the 2nd since my kids start school on the 3rd. Gives us a chance to unwind & maybe get all our laundry done before we have to rush home. I'm not sure if we're going to be so ready to go home at that point or not, so I don't know if I'm making the right choice. Decisions decisions!

We just booked a 1:45 out of MCO that connects in Cincinnati and arrive in Philly about 6:30. Figure that will give us enough time to get a rental car, stop at DTD to pick up lunch, and return the car at the airport. The time in Cincy is only 50 minutes, so we are hoping that there are no delays as my oldest needs to be back on campus that night and I start school the next day.

Sorry you've not been feeling too well Tom! I woke up feeling like carp again today. I blamed it on the Margaritas the other night, but now I'm thinking maybe somethings going around? :confused3

Can't complain since today is a big game day here in New England! Got the Patriots at 1:00 & the Red Sox at 3:00! I'm sure the Patriots won't be over by the time the Sox starts. Why do they do that??? Oh well....GO TEAM!!! :cheer2:

Thanks for the info Andrew! I will keep my eye out for the podcast! :thumbsup2

ANSWER re QUESTION FOR TIME OF PODCAST.

It's usually available sometime early Tuesady morning.

There are too many variables to give a definite answer.

If you watch the DIS Unplugged podcast board, it's usually posted as soon as it's availaable.

I am assuming the annoucement is re January to April 2009 standard Wonder and Magic cruises, but it seems there are hints about more so worth keeping an eye, or (mickey ears) open on Tuesday.

Do I get any prizes?? I could use an aspirin or something for my sinus pressure - can THTA be my prize? I'm waiting for my drug ushing spouse to emerge so i can ask to take for what I suspect is continuing sinus pressure and a damp nose. The super high winds we had the other day migh have had something to do with this sensation of discomfort I'm pulsing through. However, ON the windy day (friday) I did not have all these symptoms - but my little one sure had some dampnes in her nose on the windy day!... but less so now...

Just the same - thanks Andrew for the compliments on 6,700. I had not noticed. And thank you Diane for the encouraging thoughts. Sorry to hear the fish are getting you too...

Thanks for advice - I just booked a 12:50 PM out of MCO that gets us back into Philly for about 3:00PM. That should give us plenty of time to get off ship, transfer to airport and check in.

OK... just noticed I had a duplicate posting...

sorry ... I'm not 100% and just a little bit woozy...

DCL recommends that you schedule the return for after 12:30 pm. If there are problems with traffic, you should have plenty of time this way.

Hi Patty....

I have to scram back for school on tuesday too (as it is DD will miss first week of school)

I still plan to take a 6 or 7 pm flight. That way i can run over to TL or BB for the day and then we can safely make our luggage/ourselves to the airport by 4 pm.

In Orlando you really want to make sure your luggage is there 2 hrs prior to "make" the trip home. We've learned that the hard way earlier on in our FL travels. On more than 2-3 trips our luggage never came home on the same plane as us and sometimes it was there pretty early. I'd be worried about a 12ish flight and the luggage.
