Ok i'll admit the skirt is way/way too short (Kinda like that dress/blouse thing Britney had going on in the media last week)

However, who wants to bet cold hard cash that her skirt wasn't pulled that low either....

According to the article, that's how the airline MADE her pull her skirt down.....it WASN'T down that far when she boarded the plane.

But I have to say, we fly back and forth to Vegas a lot...or we used to anyway....and trust me, we've seen a LOT worse. Nothing like seeing a group of 20-something girls headed for their first trip to Vegas...or a Bachelorette party!!

Thank you for all of the well-wishes for the surgery. Can't tell you how much I appreciate it. It's not like I've never had surgery....but for some reason, I've been a nervous wreck about this.

Target had the D40 camera on sale this past week.....don't know if it still is, but it was a good price.

Hello, good evening and welcome!

NEWS FOR BRIT'S

Some of you will start to book flights starting next week for next years repo.

After looking at the on line booking for BA and VIRGIN I have noticed that on the first day of release they are far more expensive then they fall a day or two later, not sure why?

Anyway for example traveling Premium Economy London >LA Orlando>London, is £300 on average, more on the first day of release than after two days, for my family thats another £1,000.

Now I haven't called the reservations team direct, so this might be an on line error, and they might be cheaper direct, but, I have been checking every day with 'dummy' bookings getting closer and closer to our dates, and there is a pattern.

So don't book the day of release, they had availability for our dates until June 2007 for August 2007, BA have 3 flights to LA each day, Virgin 2, and with a new company flying our of Stansted prices might fall.

OK double :scared1: :scared1: now....

So that's the after pic..... jeez .. Look when i go out in public i really wouldn't want to look at someone's hoohoo hanging out (male or female).

They didn't show the before did they?

Well for burgers they are o.k. downside is you don't have to worry about them fitting in a regular bun.:rotfl2: They shrink right down when cooking and fit perfectly in bun. I would get again but not on a reg. basis.

Andrew: Thanks for sharing your experience with me. Did they just remove the stones or take out the gallbladder also?

You mean I was in fact in for a mini pirate: run?:rotfl2:

So sorry...........such loss these past couple of weeks. Never a nice way to come home.

They took the gallblader out by keyhole, as they said the stones would return. No problem since, just a large belly.

Hmm......It's my B-day in a couple of weeks. I'll need to 'show' this to DW. My 10D is getting a bit long in the tooth.

Andy,

.... ya kno... I actually had a little "accident" with my 10D. It fell out of my camera bagwhen I was getting out of the car and it took a blow to the bottom corner opposite the CF card side. Right after that it gave me an odd error message (I forgot the error code). Plus - in the past year I've had emergingissues with error 99 codes - which mean (generally) that the shutter may be reaching the end of its' life. The shutter is supposed to have an 35,000 actuation life ... however, that is not a Canon spec. Rather, it's an ad hoc general consesus (IMO) from various sources. AND - I am a trigger happy photographer - see my tag fairy thing? I'm still trying to find my "center" .... and as such I might be approaching 35,000 frames since I got mine 2nd hand.

So - the new 40D has a 100,000 actuation life. A key feature for someone like myself. I hope to get 9 years of heavy use from it. At one point a year or so ago I counted 55,000 images taken in a little under 5 years. Plus - it seems as if the focus system is a significant step up from the 10D system. I want images which "pop" with focus precision - and the 10D was good until I compared it to some of the newer or pro level DSLRs.

10d-24.jpg

At any rate - I was going to send my 10D in for service - I'd use it for now supposedly - but then I was holding off to sort of ween me onto the 40D.A wierd circumstance. But overall I could use the 10D as a backup body. The resale at this point (damaged) makes it more valuable as a repaired backup than as any resale for proceeds thing.

My kids have started comparing notes lately. I know my DD knows who the tooth fairy is, but DS is still not to sure. When we were in WDW just a couple of weeks ago she said, "Why did he get $5 for that tooth? I usually only get $2!" I replied, "We're in Disney...everything costs more so the tooth fairy decided he gets a little more spending money! It's called inflation!" ;)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I like that explanation Diane!!!

When Angelina was about 10 she had to have 6 teeth removed because there wasn't enough room in her mouth for her adult teeth. The dentist told us Angelina mouth was about two years advanced for her age. I told him, he didn't have to tell me that, I already knew it..... During the extraction, a 7th tooth fell out on it's own, needless to say, the tooth fairy paid dearly during that visit. If I remember correctly, I think there were a few CD's added in the mix as well..........

My son lost a tooth once when he and I and his sister were visiting my parents in Nebraska. The Tooth Fairy wasn't quite prepared (she couldn't find Daddy's wallet in Nebraska...it was in AZ with him!) so my son obviously felt cheated.

After we got back home (in AZ) I overheard him telling his friend "Don't ever lose a tooth in Nebraska. The Tooth Fairy there is CHEAP!"

That is nice of you to accept the draft! ;) I know it's a quite a commitment to volunteer for these types of duties so you should be highly commended. It's because of parents like you that these all important extracurricular activities can continue. :thumbsup2

Thanks Diane,

... we're supposed to have every family volunteer or something - and one of the 6 other families has only sent their daughter to the practices with a baby sitter. Plus they (Mom or Dad) have never met us - as they've missed the initial coach/parents' meeting, all the practices, and failed to complete curent paperwork related to viewing a AYSO DVD on parental conduct + the emergency cards in triplicate necessary (we have ONE copy with a live ink siggy).... supposedly we can squeeze by. Now - I know most of this stuff is procedural boiler plate in some ways - but this one family has not met us nor answered phone calls? I might have gotten one email reply I think.

My supervising AYSO authority has grudgingly given me the go ahead to do without - and if we have any issues arise later - it will be noted that we as coach (my spouse) and team referee (myself) have done more than expected to try and enable everything. The worst being if their daughter were to be injured while we were not there - as the emergency forms are in triplicate with a copy on hand with the assistant coach and team parent at all times. And the other thing might be if the field marshal has to come chat with them if they show for a game and conduct themselves in an inappropriate manner after being warned by thier coach and field ref (half the time that's me).

Anyways - in most cases I expect no trouble. However, I have just learned last nite that I as ref am running the game and what I say is generally what goes. Right or wrong... although I endeavor to be "right". :confused3

I know it's tough for some folks to volunteer... but getting folks to do anything other then sign up thier kids is surprisingly tough for about half the families in our little team of 7 families. I am thankful however for those who have steppeed forward to help out with reasonable committments.

Thanks for your words of encouragement... they're 2nd occassion of such words... and I'm not really fishing for compliments -its' just nice to hear - if ya know what I mean.

At any rate - I have to package up the girls uniforms to distribute at todays practice. We're gonna do gift bags for them and I need to see about reading some on how to ref a girls AYSO soccor game ... as I don't even know the rules reliably yet. I just know common game procedures to get it going and more or less properly conducted. Last nite was - after all - just a crash refresher in 90 minutes.... as opposed to the regular 6 hour course conducted for 1st time refs in our district.

well... ya kno.... being who I am ... I generally prefer CRASH courses anyways.... < heh hee heeh >

Not that I've seen. I guess for once, no one had their camera phones on. ;)
And she wasn't about to pull it up and show it.....now that she's considering a lawsuit.

Ouch! $5 per tooth x how many teeth....

We got the Sakajaweya (spelled way wrong) dollar coins for TF duty. They were unique, easy and added to the illusion (who uses them elsewhere)

That's got to be the worst spelling of Sacagawea I have ever seen. I think you forgot a 'q' and a couple of 'z's in there, Tom.

From the land of the Native American....it's Sacagaweah.

Now, how do we pronounce SAGUARO and OCOTILLO?? :rotfl2: ;) ;)
