HEEELLLLLOOOOO EVERYONE -

I'm Back - well sorta anyway, I am off the Magic finally and am sitting in my DVC villa in Old Key West.

Lots to DIS about and lots to say but don't want to start off with a sour taste in your mouths.

I had a blast. Loved just about every minute of it and am happy for most of the experiences.

Meet both Capt Jacks and must say that OURS is the best!!! Not to mention Pirate Swann which TOTALLY fooled me in her wig. She's got short hair. Tia Dama - AWESOME AWESOME now I must get us a great costume - in just under 1 year!

We should be here in Orlando until Tuesday night. Hopefully I'll get to post some of my "experiences" but stayed tuned to my blog, where I will dish names and thoughts.

OK - just had to check in. The family flew in on a red-eye and are sleeping - DH is snoring away in the bedroom and I am in the kitchen - BTW, these are REALLY nice. Not sure if I want to sleep or stay moving. The floor is still moving and rolling but hopefully it will stop sometime Monday. ROTFL

Talk to you all later

Andy - Stephane says hi! :yay: and he DOES remember you!

Later all - on to check with my other threads!

Thanks Laura, looking forward to reading more about your trip!!! :goodvibes

Welcome back. (Again saw your post on the Med thread)

Pamela,

When you step up to an 8 or 10 MP sensor - your files will be larger. Plus with the faster DSLR you may be tempted to take a few more difficult sequences. IE, snap off a burst to get one or two ideal images. As in gymnastics or in fleeting circumstances. SO - going after a few moments with bursts of images could quickly multiply your storage consumption. And heaven help you if you start shootin RAW files!

Pamela & Crash . . .Boy do I love my external hard drive. I has like 500 G of memory so you can store TONS of pictures (even in RAW). It's connect via wireless with our home computer network (we're about to go to 4 computers, so I can sympathize, Pamela . . but we don't have any cats . . ummm) The external hard drive is not always the fastest route, but that way, it's not all on one of our computer hard drives or worse . . .multiple copies. When we upgrade to the 4th computer, I'm going to have my IT get all of our iTunes library put onto the external hard drive. It's another memory sucker on our current systems. Oh, and I use it as back up for my business files as well . . .Just a geeky thought . . .LOL

Hey Andrew --

On your Med cruise, did they mention anything about coming back again in 2009? I'm already working on DH to give Europe a try . . .a la Disney :) Figure it would probably be a fairly safe way to see the continent (vs backpacking like I did after college . . .)

Oh and my DS10 says, "HI" to your DS

Have a super day!

Guess I am all alone on this fine Saturday afternoon . . maybe I should get off the computer and GO DO SOMETHING!

Happy Birthday David/(daipp)!!!

Anyone for cake?

Wow that looks yummy! Even the sugar-free carp! :goodvibes

It's over? Are you sure.:confused3 But, but, ....

A little over 6000 miles ago we started this adventure and now it is over. But I don't think that it is. I think this was only the beginning of friendships that will last a lifetime.

Last weekend at DL while on the Jungle cruise I heard the tour guide say the following and thought of 9/1/08.

To everyone thanks for a TOAL! :thumbsup2

Roger thanks so much for the virtual cruise! I thoroughly enjoyed it! But it appears we lost the 28th & 29th somewhere in the Bermuda triangle? Maybe that's why Mary Ann doesn't remember meeting anyone? ;)

So very sad - the trip is over :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Thanks so much for the virtual TOAL, Roger. I really enjoyed it. I must have drank WAY TOO MUCH rum though, 'cause I don't remember meeting hardly anyone :confused3

Or...maybe it WAS the rum? :lmao:

OH goodie . . that means another January release (isn't that when signed up for the pirate cruise . . .). I'm going to have to push DH a bit more (or save up the $2000 myself . . .LOL).

Thanks, Andrew. . .can't wait to read your blog! Hey that might help DH, too . . ummmm:banana::banana::banana:

Is DAVID around or still at WDW?

We'll be seeing him on Monday briefly as he is going straight off to the airpiort

Happy Birthday David/(daipp)!!!

pirate: ing..

Met up with Monica and her mom and Chris this morning at DTD. Had a great teeny meet.. Spent a few hours til they had to get back to the airport...................They also booked the 5 nighter next year as well. I snapped a shot of the 3 of them just before they left. All I can say is if I had just gotten off 15 day, I would not have looked so good........................ Glad they left when they did as the sky has been rumbling since we left......

Andrew - did you get that slip of a tongue too? Michelle - our head server kept slipping on the repo. We kept catching her so not sure if it was intended or not. She was all excited asshe was leaving for today also.

I want to say right now that if they do go back to where Andrew posted - it will only be DH and I. I SO totally underestimated the cost of this cruise. As as it seems that DCL is going back to previously visited places - SSSHHH - don't tell the kids but this time is will be DH and I alone.

As for the picture above - Chris, Monica and mom were the friendliest and made us feel right at home. I'm sorry I forgot about the mini-meet. You all should have seen the riot they caused when they walked into Parrot Cay. They were awesome enough to visit a few tables and of course they graciously visited us - Monica was awesome. They all were. If I can - I will post a picture in costume. Do you all want to see it? You think they would be offended if I posted it? After all - what happens on board - stays onboard right? :lmao: Nope - some things must be said!!!!!:rotfl2:

Just looked at your updated posts. You look like a teenager!!!!

Your pics are beautiful and I enjoyed your blog. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your trip!

NO problem Tiggerbaby - just realized I forgot to quote you.

I am actually having a blast updating and posting pictures. The weather in FL has been raining for about the last 1 1/2 hrs. It was hard rain for a while and the rest of the family is sleeping.

Also, thank you for the compliment. I must say that after 14 days on the cruise - my face resembles a teenagers - for some godforsaken reason - my face has chosen to break out like a teenagers. And I washed every single day. My esctithican (spelling??) is going to kill me. We worked so hard trying to get it cleared up and now I've got pimples and scars all over my face. I wish I could blame it on the chocolate but as I don't eat chocolate except for chocolate cake and I don't eat the ship's chocolate cake - it really had no reason to break out. Must of been the different air I suppose. I'm hoping that now that I'm back in the good ol US of A it will return to normal.

Today has been slow and the skies are now getting a bit lighter grey and it seems to have stopped raining. Oh yeah - just before it rained - I had a whole gaggle of ducks right outside my door. I will post pictures later. Right now I'm downloading some pictures of the cruise to my photobucket site. OK - here I go off to see if its done. Its murder downloading 2 or 3 at a time. :wave2:

The Captain said it at the Casterway club meeting, on our Med cruise and it seems on the one before.

Sorry, had to use 3 programs to create (recreate) the map everynight. I see that I lost the label for the sea day between Cartagena and Aruba and then the sea day after Aruba. I will recreat a final one tonight when I get home from work. I agree, too much rum :drinking1 or nutmeg.

Update, Ryan's body was found this afternoon.

Missing teen's family spots his body

NATIONAL PARK -- The body of the West Deptford teen who went missing in the Delaware River Wednesday night was recovered Saturday after one of the boy's family members spotted it on the shoreline from a family-owned boat south of No Name Island.

Rescue workers recovered the body of Ryan Lewis, 17, at 1:28 p.m. between the Woodbury Creek and the inlet at Riverwinds, according to Dennis Kappler, Public Information Officer for the National Park Fire Department.

According to Kappler, emergency workers vigorously continued their search efforts... "to bring Ryan back to the family so they could have closure."

The teenager, a June graduate of West Deptford High School, was last seen around 9 p.m. Wednesday about 20 feet from the Beach Hill shoreline. He had gone into the river to aid three friends whose boat became stuck on a sandbar near No Name Island, a patch of sand and trees 200 yards from the shore, at low tide.

Lewis' family has not released a comment.

Had to look to be sure that wasn't me and the other Escaping Moms. But then I remembered, you were 10 Night, we were 11 Night.
I'm not sure we would have thought we'd be disturbing anyone by sitting in the water.
:confused3

I guess i thought it was really wierd since there was LOTS of empty areas before and after us on the beach. I'll try to find a pic..... We were yards away from anyone else and where they decided to sit and float was within a foot or so of me and the kids - we could have reached out and touched one of them! LOL! I couldn't take a pic of my kids and the ocean without one of them in the pic....
Except for us that end of the beach was pretty empty. And we were playing and taking pictures, on the waters edge, when they came and put their chairs in the ocean in front of us.. I just thought it odd. Since there were areas that were completely empty.
