Swabbie here, making magnets for our October 6th Western :cool1:

I stand corrected, Andy.

I'm so jelous - we went on the western this time last year for our 5th anniversary. We were married 2 days before September 11th.

My parents had a Cat 6 that creaked horribly. It was a connecting room to our and we had no trouble. My mother is a light sleeper, but she didn't say anything to me about it for the first few days - once I knew I gave her my earplugs. I always keep a pair in my luggage in case DH gets into snoring mode - he doesn't do it often, but when he does it is incredibly annoying! :rotfl2:
----
Thanks to those who posted that they also have trouble getting involved in their school - it's nice to know it probably isn't "personal" and not that they just don't like me (I know this intellectually, but sometimes your emotions start wondering...)
----
We just got home from choir practice (Naperville Chorus for those Chicago area folks who know where that is). This was the first practice of the year and I guess I'm out of practice since it was totally exhausting! We are doing Handel's Judas Maccabaeus this time which I haven't sung before so I think it will be a lot of fun.

I don't think I'm going to be up for a pirate sprint tonight! It's sleepy time for me....

OK, that's one less wench, Good Nitge Pamela and ...
well, where are the swabbies?

Am I going to have to make 80 posts by myself?

Where is everyone?

We'll be doing our 11th anniversary on Oct 12th in Palo's - last night at sea.

DH proposed in Palo. They brought the ring as one of the "extra-special" desserts.

I'm trying to get DD to bed, and keep an eye on the 9ers game and PM a buddy all at the same time, and get to the pirate:

In 1999, the Department of Energy identified 21,000 megawatts of unused hydropower potential at existing dams in the U.S.

the earliest dam in recorded history is said to have been built on the Nile River at Kosheish around 2900 BC, to supply water to the capital city of Memphis

Don't talk to me about the 9er's. Traffic getting home was very ugly - between them & the Giants.

Dams are constructed to supply water for human consumption, irrigation, and industrial uses.

Just back for a moment after brushing my teeth (probably TMI!)...

Don't you have a wife to romance or something?

If he listened to the DIS Unplugged podcast he would know he is supposed to be "Anniversarying" (yes, it has become a verb!) :rotfl2:

Pamela

Courtesy of dams, hydropower in the United States resulted in the avoidance of 30 million metric tons of carbon emissions in 2002.

Now that *is* romantic.

It's one of the things I adore about him...

I got another diamond on our 5th anniversary. Same place, same presentation (except this time it was an appetizer)
