8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 16

Just spoke to Cheryl and John. They again had a perfect day. The only wait they had was for Thunder Mtn.And they gave them a Fast Pass when they got off.. Then they went to Crystal Palace . They both had anniversary pins on and the cms decorated the table with Mickey decorations and hearts. And they got a magical moments certificate and signatures. One of the CMs seranaded them with zippadeedoodah!! They are now waiting for the parade to start. I think I'm going to stay close to them next year. Maybe the magic will rub off.

And not to be outdone - here is one - minus the ears but at least its the last one of a series of pictures taken from our balcony - we were on deck - 8560 to be exact!

If you've got anyone who sews and really want to pursue a Tia costume, send me a PM. I can point you in the direction of some really great blogs from a few folks who have done it. I came across some really good high res photos of the real costume too.

Howdy Gang,
checkiing iin -- Back in So. CA & having cruise withdrawal!! I seemed to me that 2+ weeks went by way too fast!!! DGS Matt said to me on Tuesday that he was hungry & it took me a minute - oh yeah I'm doing the cooking now!! And the dishes. I sure enjoyed being spoiled!
In fact - that's why I booked the 5 day BTB as did Monica & Todd. 20 days on the Magic sounds really good!!!!

If any of my pics came out okay I'll post some.

On a sad note - I learned when I got home that one of my best friends died suddenly - we'd been friends since I was 16 and I was foster mom to his 3 kids when his wife walked out on them. I'll be flying up to S.F. frequently to be with them.

Ok i'm jealous... They wouldn't let me keep or see mine. It's one of those weird US human tissue type laws or something. (My mom got to keep hers though back like 20+ yrs ago. Hers were huge and looked like like little brains about the size of large marbles)

I volunteered to gather a list of everyone at Captain's dining (ie Main) who wishes to be linked. Sometime at a later date i will ask for more info (ie ressie #'s, # in party, kids etc..) and try to get people into aranged groups for in the dining room. I added your name to the other list we have previously compiled but at any time if you change your mind and want to un-link from the group just let me know via PM. It's easier to un-link ahead of time because if you wait until the cruise then strangers (well stranger than us anyone) might be seated amongst us (Not that i have a problem with that but problems can occur)

DH & I did the vow renewal at Disney that used to be available at the Ice Cream social (anyone else remember that?). Maybe we would persuade some-one to run one in similar vein, i.e. rather daft, Disney & fun!!

We did that a few years ago. It was cute.

Our family will be cruising with you in August 2008. I know lbgraves was collecting info before for the group but she said she isn't any longer. Is there still time to join up?

On our last cruise, there weren't any kids at our dining table. We have a DD7 who would love to have someone to chat and play with (she'll be 8 by then). If there's still time and anyone with another DD that age who would like to link main seating reservations, that would be great!

This will be our 5th Disney cruise and we're really looking forward to it! I popped in for a couple of Friday night chats before. Are those still going on?

My son had to get 2 teeth pulled, and we weren't even allowed to keep those. We had to leave a note for the tooth fairy, telling her where she could pick them up. Of course, that was better than the time i had to leave a note for her apologizing because I was the one who lost DS's tooth. Lucky she's an understanding tooth fairy.




Also just wanted to tell Shelley (BIP) sending you good thoughts for your DH's job situation. I hope everything works out well for your family!


Tina, we'll keep you in our prayers also that everything works out well for you too. Like you said, better now than next summer. Let them get you in shape now so you can party hardy next year!

Please tell us how good they are. Every time my wife sees them at Dominick's she says we have to buy them, but I keep putting her off because they are more expensive and tell her they probably don't taste that good.

But I also wonder 'where are the Mickey shaped buns to go with them'?

Well for burgers they are o.k. downside is you don't have to worry about them fitting in a regular bun. They shrink right down when cooking and fit perfectly in bun. I would get again but not on a reg. basis.

Hallo Tina, in the past I had a keyhole surgery on my gallbladder, due to stones as you post. The operation went very well, I had suffered from bad pains before and other related issues, but I had an excellent Doctor and surgeon, and my operation went very well, usual its 10 days in hospital, I was out in three days, and a jar full of stones to see. I was signed off for three weeks from work, and went back as soon as that ended.

Now I can enjoy the food on the Magic and in normal life without any issues.

Tina sorry to hear of your medical problems. I am glad that you are having them addressed. It is better to find out what is going on and getting them taken care of and be done with them. It will be over before you know it and you will be back on your feet. Keep us informed when your surgery is so we can send more

I had my second interview today (and I'm the only one who's made it this far). I'm less sure about this interview, but I still have high hopes. Thanks for keeping my situation in mind - I'm sure all those good thoughts have helped.

o.k not sure if I wan't to admit this but EVERY tooth my kids lost I have. It wasn't till Brooke was helping me pack that we found them in all different places. Yes they were all in something, envelope, little box even plastic baggies. It really is gross !!!

Late night posting...for once, I don't have to get up early for an appointment or meeting tomorrow.

Tina...good luck in your meetings with the surgeons! I'm so sorry you have to go through all that.

We've been getting as much done ahead of my surgery as possible....wheelchair, walker/scooter thing, groceries, paying bills in advance. I know it seems silly to go that far, but I just really want to have everything "done" so that I can take my pills and lay in bed and do nothing.
I'll just be glad when it's over with so that I can stop thinking of it as "the end of the world" as I know it.
Monday at noon....once they place the mask over my face, all will be right with the world. Until we schedule the other foot/leg, that is.

update.........I had several tests a couple of weeks ago. Results are in, I have minor arthritis in my lower back. I need a double operation, hope this isn't to much TMI I have sludge and stones in gallbladder and they found some things in my ovaries, thus requiring 2 different surgeons. I am having a problem with my sugar & chol. They need to be stablized before surgery. I am having a different kind of test on Mon. for sugar and have one appt. for surgeon already. I can't believe how quick they got me in, don't know if that's a good thing or not? Not fretting too much, it is what it is. I will admit I am scared but more worried about family being worried. This will also force Chuck to use some of his vacation time that he has so much of.

... you'll do just fine. It sounds like they have a firm understanding - and nothing seems too chronic - however, I am NO expert. Rather ... I'm just another INNOCENT DIS neighbor!
