Hi all I am new to this thred, I tried reading from the begining I only got as far as the posts on January 24th 2006!:rotfl2: before giving up and saying this is nuts to read through it all.

Anyway as of posting this I am booked on the Eastbound Cruise with a Cat 9 and late dinning wait listed for early dinning. I am aslo planning on making my first ever trip to Disneyland.

I will post other info upon requst.

Weren't you on the Aug Med Repo??? Your ID seems familiar.

Don't worry about reading through. We're not into planning mode yet. We've just had fun chatting with each other. Just jump right in and join the fun.

Well, I only have a little ketching up to do so far. Just back from therapy, but I have another appt in downtown Phoenix that I have to head to soon.

Therapy wasn't bad at all, in fact, it felt good to have it massaged. Until we get the swelling down, and the wound healed more, she said she's going "easy" on me. ;)

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HELEN!

I know some will disagree but I do think you would be nuts to try to catch up! You can get most relevant info on our website and the irrelevant (that is, most fun) info you can pick up just by joining along now.

Welcome to our humble thread! No need to read back, no offense to anyone, but I don't think you missed too much! Might be fun to read back on the day we booked....now that was a wild day! Pop in when you can & join us for chat on Friday nights 9pm ET in room 2! :)

When does he sleep??? :confused3

Just a QUICKIE... then I gotta run... but welcome to the community! Just start HERE... and on catching up... it should be sort of difficult. More difficult than ANY OTHER CRUISE MEET THREAD for that matter. < chuckles > and =- if you should decide to try and sit down to do it - let us know so we can start a pool on how far you'd get before "shorting out". It's now at 77,000+ POSTINGS! That's amazing. Anyways... please tell us if you've sailed before, and may I suggest go at least look up posting number 77,000 which has the most recent 7 friendly questions game. Just reply on that and we'll know a little about you and maybe someone will have something friendly and familiar to chat about with ya!

And on the last thing - do I ever sleep - yes I do. Why... last nite I turned in early because the anti-sea sickness medication was still leaving me odd feeling. And I turned in to shake it a bit. I slept like a baby all the way til 7AM!

Hurray for taking it easy. I'm glad you're better, just make sure your body actually is allowed to heal (or is that heel?). Get better soon.
:thumbsup2

Here is a question for the Disneyland experts. How far is it to St. Boniface Catholic Church? It says they are located near Harbor Blvd. and Lincoln Ave. Is it too far or too busy to walk straight up Harbor, or would we need to catch a bus or taxi?

They have a 6:45am English speaking Mass on Sunday if anyone else is interested.

2 days off line & 10 pages to ketchup:scared1: Anyway, most important ting is we've booked our airfare :woohoo: - BA out of Heathrow to LAX and back to Heathrow from Miami. Slightly more than I hoped to pay, but decided that it was prudent not to wait any longer on the off chance I might be able to use my airmiles - they won't go off so I can use them at a later date. Looks like there is going to be quite a possy of us at the HoJo so look forward to meeting up! I knw it's rather short (not necessarily sweet), but it's time to retire, I've spent the last 2 days at McLaren (yes, the car people) & am quite worn out!

We would have to go to Saturday night Mass... There is NO way anyone but, me would be up and around to go to Mass at 6:45 AM! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I must humbly decline on the chat crack!
Now that no one is looking... how does this wwork out again?
< wink >

Did everyone see this?

New signature guidelines and they are going to be automatically enforced. The board is going to cut your sig down to the right size. It will just cut off anything you have that is extra and doesn't fit.

Guess I better work on my because I know it's too tall when you consider the text and the pics. On the tech board I saw an example of the maximum space your sig could take and it was just enought for the TOAL banner.

I think my sigggy is OK. The largest component is only 150 bits high... and (18.3K + 5.3K + 84.6K + 1.5K = ) a total of 109,700K in size. I only wonder whether the animation is too large at 84.6K? I just checked ...and there is no FILE SIZE limit. They are trying to have thier software adress the pixel dimension limits. In the past with more folks on dial up it was a potential issue (granted) and now with fewer on dial up the file sizes are less of a concern... according to the web master replying on this issue. SO - size is not a factor UNLESS it is excessive and slows the board down considerably.

Awww. Thanks Crash.

It was meant to be funny. I saw M's post about getting a Pirate Life Alert and it struck my silly bone - so I made one. Hum, a bit too dry? Yes, that's it.

I'm glad you had an awesome time at the jazz festival. I take it the shower didn't strip paint?

We took the boys out for a special treat on Friday night - so I missed the run on the pirate. Saturday was the school Harvest Festival (very nice), and yesterday was chores. Or rather - go find a new electric blanket to replace the one that died. Well, not entirely dead, heats feet only. That little chore took a while - couldn't find what I wanted. But we've got one now. And I get to climb into a toasty bed again. :goodvibes

Well, I'm off - got to get up extra early to go to the Scaremanet Business Women's Conference tomorrow. should be interesting.

I chickened out of the hotel CATHERINE. The reviews were awful with 10 of 11 being negative. We spent $20 more and went to a place with 5 of 5 trip advisor reports being positive. It was definately nicer and easy on the eyes. Next year we'll stay there again. AND.... I'll eventually get pictures up to share.

Remember - I have a bit of a back log - as I still owe Lil Grumpy a set of my edited 6,700 photos from the 11 nite Southern we shared last year. I'll have it some day (or month) soon.... give me a little time to get around to it. AND... I have not forgotten I am investigating something for Andrew... I'll get around to that AFTER I finish with Lil' Gs' pix.

SO now - it's been three times I'm trying to wrap up - so now I've gotta gotta go.

TTFN!

I sent DD to PetsMart looking for something like that collar, but she said they didn't have anything. So she got him a "doggie diaper" that's working really well. His incision looks great. He'll be diaper-free in another couple of days..

And if you have any left-over, you won't need to leave chat to let the dog out....:lmao: probably shouldn't have gone there....:confused3

Apparently, he didn't have stitches at all. I thought he had the "melting" kind, but he didn't...they used some kind of GLUE!

And yes, we are now checking the back yard constantly for the stupid toads. In another week or two, they'll all be gone, it will be too cold, thank goodness.

Glue is a popular way of treating kids with facial lacerations these days.

Didn't mapquest it, but I think it would be about 1 1/2 miles. You'd have to cross a few major intersections and a freeway overpass. I believe there is a city bus that travels up Harbor, but not sure if it goes that early.

We are arriving Friday, and Saturday will be our day at Disneyland. No way will we leave DL that early, so that leaves us with a very early Sunday morning Mass. Oh well....we probably won't get much sleep that night anyway. :goodvibes

I was thinking the same thing. So, we may have to take a taxi. The distance isn't bad, but that early in the morning.......

I love Melting Pot... A little pricey but very good.... Don't forget to register on their website for a free dessert w/ purchase of dinners.

I have to say though it could get pricey to take a bunch of friends.
Ours doesn't let you even share a meal amongst 3 people (even though it would feed 3) without extra fees.

Thanks for the tip about the website :thumbsup2

He gets to invite three friends and that's his b-day present pirate: Bit more than we ordinarily spend, but his grades have been great so far and he is an excellent negotiator;)

:cheer2: Welcome :cheer2: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Someone posted that when they played catchup that they went to the last page and then went back about 10 pages or so. Sounded good to me so that's what I do when I've fallen behind:confused3

Let us know who you are traveling with and the ages of any kids:thumbsup2

(With me it's myself, DH, DS13 and DD10)
