Hey, I have a DD that just started 7th grade last week. She will be thrilled to hear that there will be other kids her own age going.

She will be even happier to find out that your DS has Capt seating also.

Add me to that list. My DS just started 7th grade. And we're in Captain's dining.

Unlike this year's trip that was going to be an end of school year surprise, I've already told him about next year. After him not being able to go on the Med, he's got extra incentive to try harder this year. He now knows that I will not take him if he misbehaves.

So between the $80 upcharge, smokers car, and sticking me with a dent that I did not do... I think this may be my last rental with Budget.

:thumbsup2

Glad you had a great cruise.

I must say I will never ever rent with Budget again. I know many cruisers love Budget, but because of an experience here in CA, I won't ever use them anywhere. We had Avis after our Repo and it worked out great. Not sure if Chris (grandma x 3) had any problems returning, but the pick up went fine.

How's that all working? Is his behavior on the upswing?

Quick hello, getting all kinds of problems getting on here and through internet tonight, 1 know part if it is the Dis.

See you soon, nice pictures before.

Hi Everyone!

I've been off a couple of days - just the usual busy-ness. I have had a lot to do at work, so less DISing there and we seem to always be busy at home.

I should have been able to stop by here last night, but we were having some computer problems and the only machine that was accessing the internet was being hogged by DH. He is a big fan of Kiva (www.kiva.com) and microloans - he has loaned quite a bit himself (I was pretty surprised when he mentioned the amount the other day :rotfl2: I certainly appreciate what that money does with Kiva, but I did think that SOME of it could have gone to a payment for the TOAL!) I guess Kiva was featured in the last few days on the Today Show and Oprah and he was having a blast watching the surge of activity on the site and reading/posting on the Kiva friends board. It seems that we are DISers and they are Kivans - which at least gives me some amunition when he starts teasing me about the DIS :thumbsup2

Nothing terribly earth shaking happening around here. So far, DS8 is actually enjoying 3rd grade - DH & I are trying to schedule a meeting with his teacher in hopes that we can capitalize on this good start and keep everything on an even keel this year.

We've been really busy with house projects and gardening. We haven't been able to start on the deck since we are having trouble getting the plans to fit within the lot with our house - since we own the lot next door, it looks like we may have to merge the 2 lots together before we can do the deck. :sad1: It is rather frustrating since several other decks around us, do not conform to the current rules but this city says that is OK because they were built a few years ago. The new rules were really put in for new subdivisions and just don't work well in the old parts of town (our house is about 100 years old).

I still haven't made up my mind about what camera to ask for or the software I'm going to use to organize my photos - just haven't had time to really devote to research!

Yes, Welcome Back, Julie.....seems like you've been gone forever :goodvibes

Thanks MaryAnn . . . yes it was a really long trip but you would be surprised at how quickly the time went by . . . especially the 14 night repo . . . seriously, you will see next year that 15 nights isn't nearly as long as it seems once you are on the ship and so many things are going on!

The Magic must feel like a second home to you now;)
WDW in July...
Well, the skies did open up right as we were leaving Epcot (think monsoon:eek: )
Or course I sent DH to find a poncho or umbrella since I didn't have time to dry my hair before our dinner reservation:confused3
He got over being annoyed at me since dinner was at Victoria and Albert's;)

Oh yeah, Victoria and Albert's:thumbsup2
I actually did the wine pairings this time, amazing:woohoo:

Looking forward to wine tasting on the Magic next August:banana:

I am really looking forward to sailing with you again, too, Laurie . . . yes, the Magic really did seem like a second home after 25 days (the 11 night, a break of 10 days in Paris, then the 14 night), but it was never, ever, anything but wonderful. The entire trip went so smoothly, I am really grateful that we never lost luggage, were pickpocketed, got lost (well, not for more than a few minutes, and a few minutes of lost is fun, anyway), missed the ship, got seriously ill (the Magic had to make a special stop in Sardinia on the way to Palermo from Barcelona for a medical emergency, unfortunately), or any of the other things that could have happened. We were very fortunate.

Other than the monsoon, it sounds like you had a good time on your romantic WDW vacation -- and you certainly deserved one!

We could use some positive thoughts and positive energy tonight and tomorrow. Hazel, Angelina and I will be heading out shortly to attend Ryan's viewing. Angelina said it all depends on how she does tonight to see if she attends the funeral with Hazel and I tomorrow morning. I know there will be a large number of young people at the viewing tonight, so I hope that helps Angelina open up a bit more. I know she has been holding a lot of her feelings inside.
