Oh for crying out loud.
I haven't read the board for a few days (catching up after my INSANE weekend Fri-Mon and still busy after Monday too) and now I come back to find that things have changed? they no longer have those little arrow thingies to the left of the thread that you could click and it would take you to the last posts you'd read on the thread the last time you were here?

That was my only saving grace on this thread! I never could keep up (and/or know where I left off- where I'd read last) on the blabbermouths thread. With that little arrow thingy I was doing better at keeping up on this thread- even when I was gone for a few days or something.

Why oh why, ye Dis masters, have ye decided to taketh the arrow thingies away from me??? :confused3 :sad2:

Good luck on me catching up now. Let me spend an hour or so clicking back pages until I find one I recognize and THEN start reading from there... forever more to be tons of pages behind everyone else... trying to "ketchup". *sigh*

Try clicking on USer CP. You'll find a list of all the threads you've posted on. (only the ones that have had responses since your last visit.) 99% of time this thread has the blue arrow next to it.

I didnt say so, but,

Whip em up in the morning, it will take them a while to do anything and if yu take them down again that night I think you would be ok, Its when they are up all day and night, they send you a letter!

Sounds like a plan.

How old is he? How many DCL cruises has he gone on?

Last Sept our oldest (at the time he was 26) was a total jerk about the trip -- not so much to our face but, he let his sister (23 at the time) know how unhappy he was at being forced to go on 10nt DISNEY cruise! LOL!

Well he had such a GREAT time that he now tells all of his friends that it was the best trip EVER! :rotfl: :rotfl: micmse2003 and her dh can tell you what a great time he had! :rotfl2:

Our kids were 26ds, 23dd, 15dd, 8ds & 5dd on the last criuse and there wasn't a bad moment for anyone! :thumbsup2

My grown kids were not so happy. They are used to the club scene here in Orlando and the entertainment on the ship just didn't cut it for them. So they drowned their sorrows at the promenade Lounge. The grandkids on the other hand loved it and beg to go back. You can't please everyone.:confused3

Seems to be working now

Wow.. I shoulda had a celebration when I hit 100 posts here. I cant imagine 30 times that much!

I am actually doing work today(hard to believe)... but not too stressful.

Work from home tomorrow.

Visit my DDs upcoming Kinder teacher for an meet and greet.

Finish Packing.

Go to Atlanic City Friday.

Go to Florida Saturday.

DCL Sunday!

Sil you might want to check your tickets. I think that the Magic will be returning to PC on 9/1, that would be a SATURDAY not Sunday:scared1: . Would hate for you to miss your first cruise on the Magic.

It was still on demand on our system last night.

I guess it must differ by cable systems. I ran by my parent's place this morning - the actually have power AND cable (definitely unusual for this morning in the Chicago area!). I checked through all the On Demand stuff and its not there. There IS a Disney Channel section, but it is just some of the regular series like Hannah Montana, Higgly Town Heros, etc. I also checked under other "Kids" areas and under "movies" and "new". This area is all Comcast.

Well, that's a bummer.... Anyone out there who's On Demand has HSM2 willing to tape or record a DVD and mail it to me? I'd be happy to pay the costs.

T.G.I.F.

I had a fairly mild case at 21.

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is well and safe. Hope everyone in Chicagoland is OK. We never got the bad storms yesterday, went around us and hit the northern burbs. We did get rain, but I slept through it!

Enjoy your Day at Sea

it was in a sub category on the Disney menu of DCOM

Tom you are fast. I see that the virtual cruise has already been updated on the piratezone. :cool1:

It must be different here. Under Disney Channel there were only 8 (or maybe 10) choices and each of those was one of the series. i.e a choice for Hanna Montana, a choice for Suite Life of Zac and Cody, a choice for Higgle Town Heros, etc. Each of those choice then showed only a list of episodes for that series. None of the choices had anything to do with High School Musical.

Thanks for the info - it was certainly worth trying!

We're fine - no damage and not even a power outage (no cable). However, the area around our house is a mess. Our town was hit pretty hard and there are a LOT of big, old trees down or big limbs off of them. A warehouse in the industrial part of town had a roof collapse and 40 people were injured. Power is out to most of the town. My house overlooks part of the downtown area and it has been without power down there since the storms went through yesterday afternoon. I'm the only one on my street with power (we had our service moved underground 15 years ago and they brought it in from behind our house instead of the poles going down the street - this puts us on a totally different part of the grid from our neighbors).

OH MY!!!! Why would anyone put their underwear outside???? They had a bathroom! LOL! Of course dh insists that everyone have at least an extra weeks worth of underwear when we travel --- he got stuck in Mexico for an extra week once (AeroMexico went out of business for a week and then his brother, whom went with him on the business trip, got food poisining). He will never forget washing out his underwear in the sink and then trying to get it to dry! LOL!

And about the *first time in Barbados* were you referring to the 11 nt Southern? Because if you were...... we were there the week before with the 10nt Southern.... ;)

Yes, it was the 11 Night....I must have meant St Kitts....I couldn't remember for sure and was too lazy to look back at it. Sorry!!!

DH is the exact opposite - he deliberately brings his oldest underwear and socks (some of the socks even have small holes!) and then throws them out each day!

Pamela (pdarrah)

So does mine, and it drives me nutty! Especially after we saw the maids at our condo in Bonaire, going through the trash and picking out his old t-shirts!

I hope this isn't the norm for these kind of storms. I just won't be able to get used to it.:rolleyes1 I haven't been outside yet to see the damage, but I did notice my garage filled up with water.

Hi Tina - No this isn't the norm for storms around here. We certainly get the occasionally severe thunderstorm and there are occasionally tornados, but they are usually much more localized. There will be a storm and it will build up and cause some damage/flooding in a couple towns and then die down or move out of the area. I can't actually remember the last time there were widespread severe storms like this - I heard someone on the radio say they hadn't seen anything like this since a storm in the 60's.

Part of the problem with the clean up and getting power back on is that it is so widespread. If this were a more "normal" situation, it would be affecting only a few towns and the surrounding areas would be sending in help (extra police, utility crews, etc). Since nearly every town in the area is affected to some extent, it is going to take a while to get things back to normal.

I hope you haven't had much damage. Since you were posting last night, I assume you didn't lose your power.

Glad to hear you are OK.

DD gets nervous when we have storm warnings. The thing I worry about the most is older trees. Our neighborhood is full of them. Back in 1998 after dd was born we had a bad storm go through. When it was over, I looked out and the tree 2 houses down missed hitting my porch by about 1-2 feet! I have 2 older trees in the front and side of my house. Every time it rains they drop small branches. It's amazing I have any tree left!

Question for a previous Canal cruiser!!

After we leave Acapulco and are heading down the coast, can we see land on the starboard side? Or are we pretty far out to sea?
