We had a wonderful stay in the Big Apple! I do have to say that the highlight of our trip was meeting and spending time with our wonderful friends. Thank you so much Peter for organizing it!!
Last night around 10:30 pm we went to the Top of the Rock! What a wonderful view! It was amazing how far removed we felt from the hustle and bustle of the city. We also rode the subway down to the WTC site yesterday morning. Even with all the construction going on there it still brings tears to your eyes. The exhibit they have in the church is really moving. We then walked to Little Italy for lunch and then along Canal Street to board the subway back to Times Square. We took a horse carraige through Central Park--we had walked through it one afternoon, but the horse ride was very enjoyable. We had dinner at Ellen's Stardust Diner--it was a really fun place. The waitstaff all take turns singing and getting the diners involved.
And of course we took in the World of
Disney store at 55th and 5th. It was nice to get a taste of Disney while we were here.
I hope to come back one day and be able to iceskate at Rockerfeller Center. Hope you all have a wonderful day---we head for the airport in a couple of hours.
