My girls and I are leaving for the airport about 1 for a 5:40 flight . . . if all goes well we will be in Barcelona around 10 AM their time tomorrow. I will be seeing our friends Andrew and Laura on the Magic Saturday, and then Laura again, Chris, and Todd on the repo Aug. 18. And the rest of you I will see next year!

Contest time............Any bets on who is gonna win? Both puzzles are 1000 pieces. Brooke is doing the one on the left. I am doing Mickey puzzle that is a puzzle within a puzzle. I just got mine so it will be starting after I get my border done. She has her border done and want's to start it now. I may not be able to see after this.

I would say the one on the left I get so involved sorting the pieces forst. I usually have all these containers piled all over. But the photomosaic is really hard.

Hey Roger, I was deleting some of my subscribed threads last week and came up with a thread that started in Jan about the unannounced plans for bringing the Magic out to Ca and lo and behold it was yours!!!!!I guess you can say you started the excitement about this and blew their cover

Yeah, probably.
I know to some it may not seem much to quibble about but we've had some expenses going on around here that were unexpected (due to backyard/pool/patio flooding that we did not anticipate having this problem when we bought this home last Nov and it's costly to repair, and some other things too) and if Jeff doesn't get lots of overtime- we're not going to have enough saved to pay for this by the time of the cruise- and additional costs adding on now. Don't even know how much airfare is going to cost by then... I'm beginning to think maybe we SHOULD have tried to get the cheapest rooms possible. It's pretty expensive for the staterooms we have (2 for 5 people) and that added with all the other additional costs. Well, let's just put it this way- we're not the rockefellers! adding another $500 is adding quite a bit for us. I just have to cross my fingers and hope for some pixie dust that we'll still be able to go- that we'll have the money saved by then.

My fare is a little over $10k; since we booked on Jan 31st with everybody else even if I had the entire amount I wouldn't give it to DCL 16 months in advance. Minus the deposit that $8k earns more interest in my account than DCL's.

For us paying the entire amount up front makes no sense (I guess until today) but it doesn't seem fair to only penalize those who are smart with their money.

Kathy lives a couple miles away from me but I have not run into her recently.

I read it and from what I gather she perhaps made a good (favorable) moderating call over there recently. I agree, WMKathy does ROCK - She is a class act

So I am not thrilled with the additional government charge of $100 per person and I don't understand why it only applies to those who haven't paid in full. This charge applies to everyone regardless of age. I am curious what is the actual charge to DCL. $100 a passenger is too round a figure; just to neat for me.

Well, I got my letter today also. Total BUMMER! Too tired to jump back on the soapbox - UGH!!!

Not a back to back, we take the July 28 Med, then go to Paris and DLP for 10 days, the back for the Aug. 18 repo cruise . . .not in a suite though! We are in SPH rooms for both cruises.

Well, if I have my way I'll be retiring in October when I turn 45. That's what I keep telling DH. He say, "How the heck can we afford that!!?!!" I tell him, we can if he will just work harder . Needless to say, I will still be working come December.

Here is a not so funny story. DS was in the marching band and they were off to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. Now they were going to be there for NYE and were needing their dress clothes and uniforms. When we got to the school ,they realized the buses were not the ones they originally saw and they didn't have enough room under for the bags and the instruments. Mind you this was a band of over 200 There were chaperones going with the kids so they ran home to get their own vehicles and one parent rented a uhaul to take the drums and larger instruments.Poor planning especially since the band always needed a truck to carry the instruments. So yes with all the luggage I was wondering the same thing as well. Let's see what Chris and Julie come up with

I lost my 10% onboard discount too!!! I was on hold for 90 minutes as I saw the price keep jumping. I also got one of the highest tiers!!! Mary Ann you just said in writing what we are all feeling!!!

I've been off line for a while. Thought I'd pop my head in the door and say ARGH! Busy with the final plans for our WDW trip in a few weeks - so I'll probably be pretty scarce until Sep - when we return.

Not much going on. DS10 is off at church camp. DS6 is off at Grandma and Grandpa's (flys home tomorrow). And DH and I have been bumping around a very quiet (and clean) house this week. We actually went on a date last night to see Harry Potter! Imagine. A movie. In a theater!

Well, that's the news. Hope everyone is doing well. I think I'll go take a look at the last few pages to try and ketchup. I'm definitly NOT going back the over 100 pages I'm behind and starting from page 4476. Sorry, but no.
