I found it to be surprising (not how I expected to get there), but a great ending to the series

Also, remember she knew what the last three words were when she started writing.

I can second that (without giving anything away). More twists & turns than expected, but all of them served a purpose. Not that it isn't already, but this will likely be one of the book series we pass down to our children.

And it ain't Goldilocks!

for those people who havent got it yet the statement says

the panama canal has recently adjusted the per person amount charged for gov taxes and fees to transit the canal. as a result there is a need to collect an additional 100.00 dollars per personfor your party.

At any rate - to change gears briefly now - I am gonna be on the road monday and tuesday so may not lurk as much as I might otherwise. Of course, everyones' heard that from me before - right? And I have a new notebook to try at the hotel tomorrow. So I'll maybe hook up in the evening.

So then we will get the age old question answered "If Crash is not around to post on the board, does the board grind to a halt?"

:lmao: :lmao:

Certainly the entertaining pictures will be less.....

Have a good time.

I just called DCL when I got home from mini meet. I was told that if cruise was not paid in full, additional taxes would be charged. She did not give me an exact amount because I was told my TA(Dreams) would be contacting me!! I figure I made more than that in interest if I let DCL have my money early. I just said I would not be spending $200 less on pictures, gifts, and excursions!!![/QUOTE]

Well if that is the case, I'm pleased we have paid off the cruise over a year out! I wonder how much impact this will have on a sold out cruise suddenly become not!

Yes, although I had heard a long time ago that she said the last word in the final book was "scar" and then recently heard that although she had not changed the meaning of the ending, had rearranged the words. I don't want to talk about the book for fear of ruining it for others, but I agree with you that it was a satisfying ending.

Good Afternoon All :goodvibes
Back from doing errands and Brooke yes Brooke picked out another puzzle. At least it's not another puzzle within a puzzle. It's from the older days of Mickey and minnie. Time to ketchup for a bit.:surfweb:

Okay, so I've somehow managed to delete the quote in my post above so it probably doesn't make much sense now!

Andy - hope your shingles clears. I understand it's supposed to be horrendous. I thought it was routine in the US to vaccinate against chicken pox so you didn't get shingles! When the youngest DD caught it on holiday at Easter (2 days before our flight home) that is what the Dr told me. All I could say was that I was pleased we had travel insurance!

DH bought me HP on Saturday, but need to finish the Jeffrey Deaver book I'm reading first, so I'll just have to wait a bit longer - maybe the 4hour ferry trip on Saturday to Ireland?

hmmm....march 2008.....seems like something is going on in march 2008. oh yeah...that's right...

we just found out we are expecting wheelerkidz #4 then!!!!!!!:cool1:

Woohoo! I'm so excited for you!

Thanks you guys. We had a blast, even though dd pouted abit that it was my birthday and not hers! Of course she got to pick where we would go. Can't wait to go back and stay at SSR. The models were great. DD was having FL withdrawl this morning. She wants to move there!

I wanna move there too! :guilty:

And Welcome Home!!! :yay:

I did some research about Shingles after I returned home from the doc this morning. I did read where it stated that a rash does not always show up. I don't know how they could have gone on for so long, this pain is ungodly at times. I took my meds about 10:30am and the Lyrica knocked me out for a couple of hours, but when I woke up, my chest felt as though it was on fire again, this is no fun, whatsoever..............:sad2:

So sorry to hear you are in so much pain! Wanted to post a Get Well cake but I found a cookie instead!

My TA just called Disney and confirmed that prices increases did go into effect for everyone.... :headache:

(Except those paid off; blah, blah, blah, something about paids having contract obligational yada yada... Still not fair  )

Like i said.... minimal costs around... No photos, no drinks that i don't bring on-board myself. (They better not even think of banning my cases of water.) No :scared1: Spa.

Well isn't this a nice "How do you do!" Like this cruise isn't expensive enough? Are they not making enough of a profit? I was hoping to hear news more along the lines of, "DCL is so honored to have you as a repeat guest that they're offering you an onboard credit!" Well it was a nice dream while it lasted!

It was great fum.. thanks for organizing this Cheryl..

:thumbsup2 Forgot to thank you Cheryl. We had alot of fun.:yay:

Doesn't it make ya feel like singing the song from Toy Story.. You've got a freind in me..

You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
When the road looks rough ahead
And you're miles and miles
From your nice warm bed
You just remember what your old pal said
Boy, you've got a friend in me
Yeah, you've got a friend in me

You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
If you've got troubles, I've got 'em too
There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you
We stick together and can see it through
Cause you've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me

Some other folks might be
A little bit smarter than I am
Bigger and stronger too
Maybe
But none of them will ever love you
The way I do, it's me and you

Boy, and as the years go by
Our friendship will never die
You're gonna see it's our destiny
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me

You have the right idea!!!

Aw Susan.............Thanks, love that song. :)

Cool! :thumbsup2

I asked dh to try to see if he could get me one at wholesale cost -- he's in the craft business and they do some work with ProvoCraft..... I want the big machine (that cuts paper up to 12 x 24 size) and all 4 of the Disney cartridges.....

Lucky Girl :thumbsup2

Thank you mcimse2003, for letting my family and I come by and visit awhile at your cruise Dismeet!!:goodvibes
It was nice to visit with other Chicago area Disers! :thumbsup2
Sorry we had to leave a little early, my DD doesn't like to stay long at places, when it has to with us(parents). DD is special needs and doesn't have the attention span at times.

It was nice to meet with you, mcimse2003 and your DH.:thumbsup2
It was nice to visit with Geffric again and meet her DH.:thumbsup2
It was nice to meet with you, castoff, and meet your family :thumbsup2

Ditto...........had to pirate: this.

26 days to our cruise, everyone is very excited even Ian Thomas (.7 yrs)

Sorry to hear about the Canal Tax, that's another $900 for me.

I've had no luck getting on the new web site. Have followed directions that were sent, anyone can help!!!

#800 never thought I'd get there.

Ouch that could make a dent in wallet.

I'm sitting here waiting for our family doc's office to open at 9am. I've been up and down all night, that's why I posted around 3am this morning. I think I either pulled or strained a muscle on the right side of my chest as I was moving heavy furniture the other day for Hazel. I've tried everything I could think of to relieve the pain, but nothing has helped. At 3am this morning my chest felt as though it was on fire so I put an ice pack on it and was able to fall back to sleep until 6am.

I called out of work today, with the extra help that I received over the past few weeks, the water meter readings are actually ahead of schedule(for a change). :thumbsup2

If anyone has any extra :wizard: I'd appreciate some of it sent my way.

:wizard: :wizard: Sorry Andy, does it itch? I will never forget when Brooke gave me chicken pox on my 35th birthday. It was so bad I had to go to hospital. Feel better soon.

The CPox vaccine hasn't been around that long so a lot of us adults never had it. I remember having a terrible case of pox when I was a little girl in the 60's, I thought I had bugs crawling on me all the time.

I had Chicken Pox when I was a wee little lad, from what I understand the CP virus stays inactive in your body, but things such as stress can make the virus active again. I think the stress that I have been under at work most likely triggered the Shingles. I truly don't remember there being a vaccination for Chicken Pox (I could be wrong), but I think we might have gotten a vaccination for Small Pox when I was younger. Maybe someone in the medical profession could help us out with this??? :confused3 I know we got vaccinated for a whole bunch of stuff.

I also remember getting the measles when I was a Senior in high school........... Boy, did I get teased about that.........

I've done this one too. I love it. It is hanging in my workroom.

How long did it take you to finish?:rotfl2:

Hey Tina, we have the same puzzle. When I was home with my 2nd by-pass Cheryl and I worked on it for the full 8 weeks. have not had it framed to date. I'll probably make my own frame since I have the tools and machines to do it.

John

Hi John, I am just getting a simple black frame with spacers put in to protect from getting stuck on glass. Not sure how much $$ but can't wait to hang it on our bedroom wall. It took us about 4 weeks.

The chicken pox (varicella) vaccine was only created and tested fairly recently. I think it started being available around 1995. So no adults would have had it. The jury is still out as to whether being inoculated against chicken pox will prevent shingles down the road, but those of us with kids who were inoculated can hope so, for their sake!

Hope you feel better soon, Andy.
