I have only been able to skim here and there. Some bad things happening here, such as life it will get better. On a lighter note.........thought I would share some of Dante's wardrobe. Since we saw so many cute Harley pics.

OK, a real quick wrap-up, the Yankees won today 16-8........

My Lady and I just stopped by the house to drop off our "doggie-bags" from dinner. Speaking of which, our dinner at the Olive Garden was FREE. We were seated on the side of the building where the AC was broke and it was 85* in that section. Shortly after we were seated, the manager stopped allowing people to be seated in our section. The manager came around to all the tables in our section and told us that our dinner was on him and he said how sorry he was that the AC wasn't working. The AC came back on just as our dessert was delivered. We still tipped our server quite well, we felt sorry for him, he looked so hot running around serving all his tables in the heat.

We broke even for the evening, the cost of the meal, plus tip, is just about what we paid for the show tonight!!!

Well, we are getting ready to head to the Broadway Theatre to collect our tickets at the will call window. HOPEFULLY, the AC will be working in the theatre.............

Thanks! By the way, the kid saved us some serious money. We were going to go a week later, after he will already be 10. He asked to go early for his B-day. We checking in while he's still 9, we got his annual pass at the kid's price, and we get to pay for him as a kid or the meal plan for the whole 12 nights.


I feel like Crash, with a drive-by posting after I said I was going, but here's my new cruise drama:

We're a family of five traveling in a cat 6 and cat 11 cabin. For some reason, I decided to see if our cabins were assigned yet. The cat 6 is still GTY. Our friend who is travelling with us has had her cat 11 assigned since day one, and its deck 6, midship. Well our cat 11 was just assigned, and it's deck 7 aft. Of course my first thought was that I'd be closer to MR's blender...but then I realized that there are no cat 6's on that deck, so our other cabin could not possibly be anywhere nearby.

I e-mailed our TA to contact DCL and make sure they know we're traveling together, and see if they could get us near each other. Of course, I won't have e-mail access, so I won't know if she hears anything for at least 2 weeks.

So, the good news is that they're assigning some cabins, the bad news for me is that mine is potentially really inconvenient for my situation.

Anyway, I'm off to the airport in about 6 hours, so to channel Crash some more...

Hey everyone! Thanks everyone for the kind words about the fish extender I made for Todd. I tried something new- printable fabric! It is cotton fabric with a paper backing that you run through an ink-jet printer. Then you just peel off the paper and can use it any number of ways. You can get it at Mike's.

I'm a bit confused about what's going on again. But than again I probably don't really want to know. I enjoy the chit chat and getting to know each other, even if I don't post alot at times. Oh Stace you better not go anywhere!

Trying to galvanize a group and writing to a newspaper is not a crime and I don't understand the harsh backlash, but then again I wasn't around earlier when this thread was having some major issues so as opposed to being sarcastic perhaps you could explain.

One of the rules we all agree to when we join the DIS is that we will not attempt to start petitions or rally against the Disney companies. No mail campaigns, no rabble rousing. I'm sure this is why your letter writing campaign is meeting with a cool response.

I'm not sure, but I heard that we get to see Walt's apartment (is that Club 33), plus we get reserved seats for Indiana Jones show, and front of the line for Indiana Jones. The girl at ABD said she wouldn't be surprised if we got fastpasses for our free day at Disneyland. Not sure though?

Walt's Apartment is *not* the same as Club 33. Walt's apartment is above the firestation and City Hall in the Main Street Plaza, it's where he would stay while they were building Disneyland. There's a light in the window that they used to light when he was in the park. Since his death, it has been continually on.

Club 33 is in New Orleans Square, above the Blue Bayou restaurant (in fact they share a kitchen).

We just got back from it. It's quite good and ties us most of the loose ends. The ending is very satisfying (at least I thought so). The movie is as much of a rush as the last two, and it sure didn't feel like two hours. See it in the theatres.

She is doing pretty good getting around on her crutches. She goes to PT in two weeks and hopefully she can start walking soon after that. School starts on the 4th and she would like to be off the crutches by then. She is bored out of her mind and has watched every tv show on STYLE network. Anyone want a makeover. She is probably able to do one now as well as the pros.

We had a wonderfrul time at the Yankee game today. It was great getting to finally meet Lorri and Sil and I it felt like meeting up with old friends with Pete and Jack. Here is a larger picture of the one Lorri posted and of A Rod's follow through hitting 500!

I think I need to pull out my wand here and spread around a few thoughts.

I really am upset at the turn that this board has taken. Although there are many here who I am in total agreement with over all these issues, including, the website, the up-charges, the backstabbing, etc. And I totally have your backs. (you know who your are) it makes me very sad when I remember that this is a family board. And I am very glad that although they could, my kids have never read this thread. They are only teenagers but I believe they would be appalled at the discussions taking place here.
We all planned to go on this TOAL because we wanted to spend time with those we loved and whose company we enjoyed. We joined this thread in order to make new friend who we could also enjoy our time with. Yeah we got hit with some extra charges. But honestly, what is your time with your family worth. I just went to the funeral of a friend who was the father of one of the students who was on the Lego team I coached. He was 47 years old. A picture of perfect health, and iron man competitor and tri athlete.
He just died. There was no reason found. I am pretty sure that his family would pay an extra 100 dollars a person or even an extra million a person to spend just one more day with him. Let alone go on a TOAL with him. I have family going on this trip that this may be the last opportunity I have to go on a trip like this with them due to their age.
Seriously, the whole issue could have been handle better by all parties, DCL, Panama people, TA, or who ever but when all is said and done I am not going to cancel this cruise because of the extra money it cost me. I would rather have this time with those I love than buy a few extra trinkets. And really is this worth your sanity to get so worked up. I have much bigger things to deal with. Don't you?
I wonder how many of you would gladly open up this thread to their young children to read, how Mommy and Daddy act when they get upset. How they solve problems by arguing and backstabbing. I would hope we would all want to be better examples to our offspring.
I actually enjoy reading post about each others days and seeing pictures of dogs and hearing how things are in your neck of the woods. But I have been playing catch up for the last week, and to tell you the truth it has been down right depressing. I mean did you guys even realize that a bridge collapsed and people died? Or did you miss that in your rant to be right?
I am very sorry if I have offended anyone but honestly we are going to be spending time together on the ship and I would love to have my kids say isn't that so and so who had that cool dog like ours rather than wonder if they are going to get in the middle of a flame session. Wouldn't you, or would you prefer to spend the cruise hiding from others. I don't care to and if you want to find me I will be by the pool enjoying the music and the drinks.

value]....in an instance...i saw a "look'..on her face...that i never
wanted to experienced again--i felt so bad- the hurt...even though
untrue...i saw right then- how painful...cheating could be...& that's
..even after 30 years,..i have no desires/ nor any temptations will
make me weak...how could i? .."seeing her beautiful face..and
inside..the person that had given me my greatest blessings...
that is my strength...and will.

*just so happpend ,there's a thread on the community board ?
about borderline personality disorder....its ok to make misatkes, but
if one is relating to those type of behaviors....one needs to find
the motivation for corrective measures....if one desires true happiness.
[ part of the reason for my happiness, is finding a lil'courage to make
improvemnts...* if not, and we cross paths..this is my line of work..
one can expect interventions prn...as i see no values in those hurting
others to make themselves "feel' better about their image.

my interest here...was made when i started posting, and my desire, is
to support this

Can't figure out how to get any kind of meet - that's why I've joked that I'm renting a car & I'll make sure I've got unlimited miles so I can perhaps do roving "meets"!!!
I'm not sure of Monica's flight - Pam leaves early , Todd at 12:30 or about, Julie leaves really early - I leave at 7pm.
So - that's why I've said HELP!!
Especially - as I'm leaving soon - but - I really would like to meet up w/some fellow pirates!

I am so jealous of all the mini-meets. We simply can't afford to go to WDW before this cruise- we're saving for this TOAL ofcourse!

Am I the ONLY Texan on this thread? Can't we get a little mini-meet somewhere down these parts? I guess not if I'm the lone Texan here...
