I would suggest that everyone who got the e-mail today send a reply or forward to Joseph talking about what a great company they are, how we just wanted a better explaination or a partial credit and this was so far above what we expected.....
Can't hurt to reinforce their decision so they don't find ways to make up the $$ on the cruise.
Just testament Disney does listen.

DU has not been "officially" informed by DCL yet about the reversal of the tax increase (which is not unusual since it took a week to get the letter about the increase in the first place).
As soon as that information is passed to DU by DCL all affected reservations will updated as quickly as possible.
I can assure you that there will be no change to the current shipboard credit offer. This does not change the shipboard credit you are currently getting from DU and the doubled SBC still applies.

Just checking in after our trip to Ireland. Kids had a great time & my cousin's wedding was excellent - they sure know how to party. Wedding was at 1.30pm, the party finally ended at 8am!!! !!!
Well I'm shattered from the journey home. As we drove, it actually took us longer than the flight to Florida is (9hrs, our journey took 12). Got home late Sunday night to find Lauren's hamster had died, so at 11pm we're in the garden burying it. Straight back to work yesterday & then off to the supermarket & the pet shop, so the Sandy coloured Syrian hamster is now a brown & white Russian, and altho' Lauren obviously knows, Hermione hasn't![]()
Having realised that ketchup involves over 2000 posts I think it will be a skimming of pages & reading the thread summaries on the website!!!

Who would have thought we'd actually come out ahead in this whole thing? I sort of feel guilty now about the extra OBC. But I will be a loyal DU customer from now on, that's for sure!
We are also planning this. Right now we are thinking of leaving from JFK on JetBlue and staying in the DL area off-site.
Am I the first to get this?

I hear you on this Deanna! As far as I am concerned, DU has gone above and beyond. I was honestly expecting the doubled OBC to have been reduced to the original. However, I will not feel any more guilty about the extra OBC than DCL would have about the increase. IMO, DCL now needs to 'make it up' to the TAs.

Thats our plan too JetBlue out of JFK to Long Beach, Take a cab to a hotel near DL than cab it back to the airport for the Disney Transportaion to port. Nothing official yet, since gotta wait for JetBlue to release their schedule. Was thinking maybe a late night flight Thursday, And we would have Fri Sat at DL.

Thanks to all who wrote those great letters. I guess you can fight the big corporation and win. ( I work for a big corporation and my big corporation doesnt care about its customers, so I didnt bother writing, really didnt think it work) Than again I dont work for Disney.

And thanks to everyone for the well wishes. The response from the tech at the radiology place of course was no help .. if there is/isnt a problem. I know they're not supposed to say anything but..........
So Dr should have results by weeks end and if its an emergency he will have results sooner. Like that means anything to me. This is why I hate going to the Dr for anything. Everything is hurry up and wait. And Ill only have to return to the Dr to get results since now they wont give anything over the phone UGGGGHHH
