I would suggest that everyone who got the e-mail today send a reply or forward to Joseph talking about what a great company they are, how we just wanted a better explaination or a partial credit and this was so far above what we expected.....

Can't hurt to reinforce their decision so they don't find ways to make up the $$ on the cruise.

I am so glad that they actually listened. It helps restore some of my faith in Disney as a company that focuses on customer satisfaction.

So, do you think the outcry finally made it to someone high enough in the organization (maybe Joseph reported all these letters to his boss and so on up the chain?) or was it as someone suggested earlier,just a snaggled mess of "corporate rules and policies" that someone found a way to straighten out?

Whatever it was, I am thrilled with their choice to cover the entire $100. I really thought the best we would get was some sort of token on-board credit...

My TA talked to someone at DCL this morning and was told that they were not going to be charging the $100. But....she (the TA) had looked at my reservation yesterday and DCL had only charged each of us an extra $41.00 GO figure.

Hi Folks

DU has not been "officially" informed by DCL yet about the reversal of the tax increase (which is not unusual since it took a week to get the letter about the increase in the first place).

As soon as that information is passed to DU by DCL all affected reservations will updated as quickly as possible.

I can assure you that there will be no change to the current shipboard credit offer. This does not change the shipboard credit you are currently getting from DU and the doubled SBC still applies.

Scooter huh? Might I suggest checking out the Genuine Buddy? That was my first scooter. It's fully atomatic,will do 55-60 in a pinch.

I drove bu the dealership in Ft Worth 3 times a week last school year and I kept thinking that one of these days I was going to stop and buy the pink one -- then throw it in the back of my Expedition for the ride home! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Who would have thought we'd actually come out ahead in this whole thing? I sort of feel guilty now about the extra OBC. But I will be a loyal DU customer from now on, that's for sure!

Just checking in after our trip to Ireland. Kids had a great time & my cousin's wedding was excellent - they sure know how to party. Wedding was at 1.30pm, the party finally ended at 8am!!! !!!

That is my kind of reception! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: We're Catholic so we usually know how to throw a good wedding reception, also. :rotfl2: Lots of music, lots of beer, lots of food and lots of dancing. :rotfl: :rotfl:


Well I'm shattered from the journey home. As we drove, it actually took us longer than the flight to Florida is (9hrs, our journey took 12). Got home late Sunday night to find Lauren's hamster had died, so at 11pm we're in the garden burying it. Straight back to work yesterday & then off to the supermarket & the pet shop, so the Sandy coloured Syrian hamster is now a brown & white Russian, and altho' Lauren obviously knows, Hermione hasn't:rotfl2:
Having realised that ketchup involves over 2000 posts I think it will be a skimming of pages & reading the thread summaries on the website!!!

I could see a few of my kids not realizing there was new hamster! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I hear you on this Deanna! As far as I am concerned, DU has gone above and beyond. I was honestly expecting the doubled OBC to have been reduced to the original. However, I will not feel any more guilty about the extra OBC than DCL would have about the increase. IMO, DCL now needs to 'make it up' to the TAs.
 
We are also planning this. Right now we are thinking of leaving from JFK on JetBlue and staying in the DL area off-site.

Am I the first to get this?

Thats our plan too JetBlue out of JFK to Long Beach, Take a cab to a hotel near DL than cab it back to the airport for the Disney Transportaion to port. Nothing official yet, since gotta wait for JetBlue to release their schedule. Was thinking maybe a late night flight Thursday, And we would have Fri Sat at DL.

So Dr should have results by weeks end and if its an emergency he will have results sooner. Like that means anything to me. This is why I hate going to the Dr for anything. Everything is hurry up and wait. And Ill only have to return to the Dr to get results since now they wont give anything over the phone UGGGGHHH

Karen, I think you hit it on the head - Disney really needs to make this up to the TA's.
 
A big Thank You first and foremost to DU. DU stepped up when they really didn't need to to address a situation that didn't make sense. Not only that, but to then stand behind those promises when most people would have excused backing off is exceptional and not something you see every day--or every year for that matter!!!!:cheer2: :woohoo: :thumbsup2

Another Thank You (not quite as big to DCL). DCL listened and reversed course when it was the right thing to do. :thumbsup2 One has to wonder if such a change would have occurred however without the many emails and media attention. Let the one who hasn't made a mistake before cast the first stone--just happy that they have made it right.

We haven't posted in a while but are always lurking around and trying to catch up from time-to-time. (The better half more than me--at least lately I think she has more time. I might hear about that one. :scared: ) Best wishes to you all. Take care.

Oh--the first fall practice for The Ohio State Buckeyes was yesterday. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I have just about put that last game out of my memory!! Now if I could just come up with a memory for the CBJ!! I am already thinking--"wait for next year"--and the NHL training camps haven't even started yet.

I would think that if they did see anything serious that the would call the doctor immediately and either not let you leave or go to your doctors office right away. Keeping you in my prayers.
