Good Morning All :thumbsup2
I guess Brooke and I have been having to much fun playing tourists.:rotfl2: Now it's time to get some work done.:laundy: I just got the last form in the mail so I can finish the process to get Brooke into her new school.

Are we still planning on doing the secret mickey? I told Brooke about it and she really wants to participate in that.

I also talked her into helping me delivering my fish mail.:rolleyes1 Oh that will take some time. Any ideas on numbers here? Believe it or not we started working on our fish mail yesterday.:goodvibes

It's o.k if people don't want to have anything to do with this..............example giving out cabin numbers ect.

My mom always taught me it was better to give then to receive.:)

Welcome. Fasten your seat belt and please keep your hands and head inside the thread at all times.

You will find a good number of folk on this thread that have kids in the same age bracket (my DSs are 10 and 8).

Morning.. just a quick hi before I start work..

We went to a wedding Saturday at the Oak Brook bath and tennis club. The ceremony was outside and very nice. It was set near a small lake and was just beautiful with the tress and the lake. When we walked in to the section that the ceremony was to be held, everyone got a little box. The box had a butterfly and at one point in the ceremony we all released our butterflys. It was amazing to see. The reception was inside the club house and was very nice. To start we had fruit on a skewer with a drizzle of a while creamy sauce. YUMMY!! Then came the salad and the entree was a chicken stuff with creamed spinach and a filet plus carrots and zucchini for veggies and a little pototo things. It was way too much food but very delicious. I gave my filet to Eric. He ate both filets and some of his checken. Geoff ate his dinner and some of Eric's chicken. Scott ate my pototos and I ate Eric's veggies.. The DJ was great and we danced and talked with Scott's family and had a wonderful time.

Yesterday, I did some errands. Went to Coldwater Creek for their 70% off sale but it didn't open til noon and so i went to Home Depot and got some LGMH for our trip in a week and 1/2..

That wedding sounded wonderful ! I am really getting hungry with all of the food talk lately. That's o.k because I am enjoying it.;)

Hi Chrissie: Fish mail is anything or everything that you could put in the fish extender. When I wen't on the Aug. double dip cruise, I ordered pens with the date of sailing and the cruise thread name on them. I also did hand made notes and made magnets. :)

What a great idea!! Will there be a sign-up for this like the secret Mickey?

Also, where would I find the measurements for a fish extender?

Is Brooke the now almost 14yo?

I'm sure my 14yo dd would like to talk to other kids prior.

She's a myspace junkie lately and links up with kids there from her school and stuff there.

Hi!
I'm new to this thread. Just excited to be here.

We're getting so excited....It's close to bursting at times...

Welcome to our crew....

~~~Tom, I haven't check website since linked was emailed but did any bio info get added.
On the last cruise it was great to see which families had cabins nearby or kids in similar ages (although i know some here don't want theirs published)
I'm in Dallas today supposedly paying attention to the class. :lmao:
Happy Monday! I just finished Ketchup from the weekend.
We were really busy with our town festival this weekend. On Saturday we took DS8 and the kid next door to the carnival for $15 wristband time. It wasn't at all crowded and there was a nice breeze so we ended up staying much longer than planned. If the kids had been buying tickets for all the rides, they would have spent $63 each! (and people complain about Disney ticket prices?!? :confused3 ) I think we were there 3 or 4 hours. We walked home and rested for an hour or two and then walked back to meet MICMSE2003 and her DH who came for dinner and the fireworks. It was SO nice to meet them. We had a great time chatting!
On Sunday I had to do some grocery shopping and then we went to the parade. It is a fun social event here - we have lived here a long time so we see a lot of people we know. The parade lasts about an hour, and we are usually out there waiting for it about 1/2 to 3/4 of an hours early! Later, I gave in to DS8 and took him back to the carnival one last time (they were doing the wristbands again) - this time he went on the equivalent of $39 in rides. We got home only about 20 minutes before my parents were coming to dinner. Thankfully, DH does most of the cooking and had things well in hand. So, it was a very busy weekend with all of that. DH, who has way too much energy, also started building a stone retaining wall :eek: !
I don't know how this week will go. My parents just left for the airport a few minutes ago and will be in Europe for the next 2 weeks (1 week vacation visit to our "sister city" and 1 week of business trip.) so I'll be running the office on my own. DS8 decided he would rather go to day camp than be at the office with just me - so I dropped him off this morning. This is the first time he has gone to day camp - he has gone to specific "camps" such as Art Camp, Nature Camp and Sports Camp but I don't know if this will be as structured as those were. I guess I'll find out when I pick him up this evening....
This is Tony from Spain! He was our server on our Halloween 2006 cruise! He was adorable and we absolutely loved him!
He told us he had been a server in Palo, and after returning from vacation, he had to go back to the rotation dining. He was trying to get back to Palo again.
What a bummer for him! He was really nice. They were all really good sports.
