Sounds like a plan !!! Give me a time so we can work around you PP party.:flower3:

I need to double check the P&P start time but I would think that we could meet somewhere between 3PM - 4PM.

I had braces and doofy looking hair. The only good thing (compared to now) is that I was pretty thin.
Class of '76

Oh yeah, and I wore a choker around my neck that now would probably not fit around my ankle.

HS Class of '70 :hippie:

Just down temporarily until we get a tighter rein on our horses to figure out what we want to allow.

I guess I figured I've already shared everything about me that was posted on the site in this public forum anyway -- my name, wife's name, kids' names, ages, hometown, etc. -- so having it posted was no big deal.

So I will probably ask each of you later in the week to send me a note saying it is okay to post your info once I put my head together with a couple of the people who dragged me into this to see what they think.

As for now, it's time to spend a little quality time with my pal Johnny Walker.

You can post anything about me that you want just as long as it is true! :rolleyes1

I'm pretty much a lurker as far as the thread goes. Perhaps when the cruise gets a bit closer and things settle down in life a bit... I know, not likely! :)

At any rate, here is the info I sent to be included (minus my e-mail address):

Me: Kathy, husband: Steve, Son Bryon

First names: please include the ages of the kids at the time of the cruise so they can be placed in the appropriate DISkid group
Bryon (3)

Birthdates: not with the year
1-12-04

Home town: where you live now
NY, NY

Pre cruise plans:
Disneyland!

Post cruise plans:
Return home. :(

Sorry... I'm not so good at this!

Hey nearcat!
I'm like you, haven't posted much here. I've been overwhelmed a bit by the size of this group and the number of posts each day. I quess I've been waiting for it to slow down so I could jump on (kinda like the merry-go-round;) )
So are you a Met fan or a Yankee fan ?

Aw I missed the site with ALL the info. But it looks GREAT!!!!!
Thanks JR. I for one appreciate the hard work you put into it and want to say how sorry I am for you getting in the middle of ...... I guess I don't know what you got in the middle of.I honestly thought the website was a work in progress. So now the progress is here. What is the big deal all about?????:confused3 If anyone feels funny about giving their email, go to google and get another one just for the site!:surfweb:

Andy, you know how to get the tissues out.I loved the pics. That is so touching.I tried to do that for my kids but never finished. Perhaps this is an incentive. The progression was great to look at.

Got to see some of the citys fireworks tonight thru the trees. Hope everyone has a Safe and Happy 4th. And anyone going to the MK tomorrow, remember they are having a big ceremony by the castle to celebrate the induction of our Brand New American Citizens and they will have a special parade after the ceremonies.

I think that the issue is a bit more than just email addresses being made available - for one, people are uncomfortable with the possibility of others having access to personal info about them without sharing the same info about themselves.

I'm not critizing J. R. or anyone else who is/was associated with the website - we were asked for input and I gave it.

same here!

I wasn't criticizing - I am grateful for what JR has done!!!:)

I just thought we had issues come up that we were trying to sort out...and I chimed in with my thoughts!:)

Sorry went to see fireworks (that we thought got cancelled but they were simply postponed for an hour but we left so we missed them) so I didn't get a chance to respond earlier regarding the website. IMO & well of course you know I do have one ;) is that perhaps having last names, hometowns or email addresses might not be a good idea at this point simply because we are not sure who is an active member & who isn't. I would like everyone to join in & post, but I also don't want to exclude anyone that isn't able to at this time.

And please let me clarify what I meant by my remark earlier of being leery of names I am not familiar with....I meant when they pop into complain or suddenly appear in chat without having introduced themselves first, and that is mainly because of past problems we have had. I welcome any newcomers that drop in to say hi and let us know they are joining us. Also I just would like to point out that there is one poster who did join us & was quite friendly at first but now has apparently bowed out since their signature blatantly states they want nothing to do with us, yet this person was still listed on our website today. :confused3 Not saying that is the fault of anyone, just saying that it makes me leery if this particular person was still able to access all our info. So that's MHO for what little it's worth! :goodvibes

I hope I have reassured you that no one who has not shared their information has access and never will.

You will have to achieve a certain status on the DIS before you are given an ID for the website (in the same way you have to earn rights on the DIS to send PMs, post pictures, etc.). I know that may be unfair to those who don't join in the fray, but sadly, there are people who would try to harvest personal information to attempt identity theft, etc. I spent a lot of time setting up secure access -- I am not quite dumb enough to then just give out the IDs.

What has caught me off guard is that all of the information that was published was freely given by each of us for the purpose of the website (as page 1 of the thread used to say) so I was confused why people now are upset about the information being published when that was why we sent it in.

Certainly everyone has a right to change their mind and circumstances do change, however, so I will not use any information sent in to Lisa on the site. You will need to tell me if you want your information posted.

Now, would someone please post about rugby or maybe MR can be found to post about her gyno or something. You know, a more enjoyable topic. :rotfl:

:) the 4th is tomorrow - ours is gonna be a wash out - so picnic in the living room tomorrow night - and fireworks on TV!!!!!!!:)

iam very :sad1: today, our sheltie ~ kelly green shamrock- passed
on this morning. he was 17 & 1/2 years old...& the last of our pets

pulled out the camera..he came running. we lost several times...
twice over a week..some old lady was spoiling him..after we moved
in...then the other time came walking down a country road...in
the rain..i holler @ him..& he took off ..in the other direction....what

So sorry to hear about your sheltie LG!

The poem is beautiful. Great job Dadster!

Dadster, I like that expression.
It was stormy here today as well. We seem to be getting the late afternoon storms again. No plans for tomorrow.Maybe I can catch up on all the movies I have not seen yet:thumbsup2

Angelina asked me to come up with a design for an ad page in the high school yearbook. This is a "rough draft" of what I did over the weekend. These are all of Angelina's school pictures from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Angelina requested the words of the song, "In My Daughter's Eyes" be added. And yes, she does call us Momster and Dadster..............:rotfl:

Andy I don't have the words to describe how beautiful I think that it is! What a wonderful job you have done! I am sure you made Angelina very proud! :thumbsup2
