Sure. If you tell me which picture, I can download and save it to JPG for you. If you want to do it yourself, you'd need a program like Gimp or Photoshop.

Tell me which image and PM me with an e-mail address and I will take care of it for you.

Thanks!
I don't have those programs, that would be swell if you can email it to me, I'll PM you my address.

It's the biggest one, 38838 bytes

I DID say that I was not compensating for the variable times of some folks joining the thread. This was mainly an exercise of whimsy... and possibly a barometer for guessing what the future might hold IF the past quarter of the threads' life were any indication.

Seriously... if you like we can start a series of pools to put some money on the guesses! <chuckles>

OK... I gotta go now... TTFN!

ooooohh! thats a good one too!

Love your calculations, Crash! I just argue with the assumption that the number of posts NECESSARILY is directly proportional to the level of enthusiasm . . . while no one would dare to argue the proven enthusiasm of the top posters, many of us in the lower tiers have tons of enthusiasm (but perhaps less time to post) . . .:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yes ... point acknowledged...

... I did not mean to imply otherwise. It was poorly worded on my part. Draw nothing from my flight of fancy here... and I now gotta go fer sure now.... ;)

AND... I for one have always enjoied your "MATH" postings yargrnhoj !!!

Hello I am back, had a great time in Majorca, Spain.

On the flight over there we started our decent over Barcelona and it was clear skys, and I could see the port, two cruise ships were in and I am sure one was the Disney Magic.

On arrival in Majorca it was a little overcast, and cooler, but after getting my hire car, we drove up to the private villa, in Pollensa.

I booked a peaceful location and we got that, the villa was up a single track road for about five miles and in fact the very last building before the cliff edge. The road by this time was nothing more than a dirt track.

The weather then became windy and cold for two days but then was back upto 27c to 37c on the beach for the rest of the week.

We toured North West Majorca by car and also went on there local modern trains and then a 1912 train service through the mountains long tunnels etc to Stoller. Great fun and as the weather wasn’t good, a good use of time.

Pollensa also has famous steps some 365 up to a chapel, nice walk!

Later in the week we had quite a lot of beach days as it became very hot, and then went back to the villa to have a swim in our pool.

Food we had breakfast in the villa but for lunch and dinner we went to restaurants.

I presume the cost will be similar to Barcelona a meal would be from euros 9 to a set meal of euros 14 a full meal with soft drinks for a family of four was about 60-70 euros.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip Andrew. :yay: I think that we are all jealous.

I just want to thank you all for your warm thoughts, words of wisdom, laughs etc. You can not begin to know how much it means to come here & see all the words of support. You know it's funny, because a lot of my friends & family do not understand my obsession with Disney, the Dis boards & in particular this thread. They ask, "How can you talk to these people you don't even know?" Well I can't really explain it to them. How I feel when I am at WDW or on a cruise with my family is beyond words. It's not an amusement park or even just a vacation to me, it's my sanity. I cherish those moments with my children more than anything in the world. Maybe because I didn't have them growing up. I love to talk to people who have a like minded obsession. And I especially feel as if I know each and everyone of you in some way. I know some of your quirks, what makes you laugh, happy, angry, etc. I only look forward to getting to know you all in person. Thanks again! :grouphug:

Okay now you brought tears to my eyes.:sad1: We think your are special too.

...gets recorded to the log history. :rolleyes1 Is there any week you have missed and would like to catch up?

Tom, if we were to wait until we debated every single decision for our children until we were ABSOLUTELY SURE about what was THE right choice...the poor kids would never get out of the crib. ;) As long as you give them a loving and neurturing home and your choices are from the love in your heart...whatever decision you make will be good for them. Don't be so set that you are not willing to acknowledge that you may not have made the best choice and therefore change the direction along the way. At this age kids grow and develop so much that they are completely different from who they were just 3-6 months ago. From what you have shared of your interactions with the girls, there is no doubt that they know that they are safe, secure and loved. Kids are very resiliant as well. Repeating Kindergarten is not going to change their future from one of glory to shame. DD was actually excited about that possibility last year when it didn't look as if she would meet the required reading level. In January I started talking to her about how she had the chance to be older instead of the only 4 yo in the class and she had picked the teacher she wanted to have the next year. When she reached the goal in late April we celebrated but it was clear that repeating K would not have been a punishment for not doing a good job. As long as she does her best and tries hard....we are proud of her and love her. :)

Yes, July should be fine. Any day would work. I don't know if my wife will come (or if she can). She's "Swim Mom" this summer and I think she will be spending every weekend at the pool with DS13 for his meets and water polo. (After all, someone has to look after the horses :rotfl: ).

Sound like an excuse to me.:rotfl2: I think you do not want me to fill in on what you talk about on the boards!!!

yes, look under 'bad financial news' and 'corporate blunders' on your favorite financial website and there is sure to be a story about my company every day.

My DH wanted to work for that company 35 years ago when we moved to Schaumburg.:rolleyes1 I think I am glad he didn't.:woohoo:

Looks like someone just has WAY too much time on their hands to do all that calculating! :)

I have only posted a few times because, to be honest, I do not really lurk here anymore. Too many posts are just huge quotes of the post before and/or take up way too much screen with sig lines and pictures and.... Don't mean to start any kind of war, just saying that it is just way too hard to follow any lines of communication here unless you live here a few times each day. I just don't have the time for that.:sad2:

yes its hard to keep up. when i get online i just read a couple of pages.

Thanks all,

Good to have you back Andrew, sounds like you had a good time. Nice pics too!:)
Yes great
Andrew ... I LOVE the pictures !!!

What a wonderful time you had. And the cost for dining sounds pretty reasonable.

May I ask how you settled on the villa - IE, what service or web site you used in finding and selecting it? Was the rental rate reasonable? I presume you would use the same firm or do the villa again should you return anytime soon?

...?
Food is reasonable I posted the price as I know a few posters are going to the Med and Spain this summer.

The villa was all organised this time as a package through a UK tour operator, hire car flights all in, I would stay in a Villa in Majorca again in this area, but maybe a little more modern one, this one was nice and I liked it but the kids wanted their modern stuff and whilst we had our own pool wanted to go to the beach every day, they may have spent an hour in the pool each day, I thought it might be half a day.

The great thing no noise! If in a hotel you often have late night discos etc.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip Andrew. :yay: I think that we are all jealous.

Thanks

I only know loquacious because when Laura was a young girl, not to say your not still young at 4*, she was so happy that her report card didn't say she talked too much. It said she was rather loquacious.

Her father made her look it up. she was crushed.

My DW is away for the day, and I just dropped DD off at work, after the two of us had a nice lunch at Friendly's. Back home now and the only thing I hear is the central air and the ceiling fan, oh what bliss for a few hours. I LOVE my girls dearly, but the quietness is enjoyable for a little while...............;) ;) ;)

of baby sitting. It's amazing how much he's grown and all the new things he can do. I don't think I spent as much time with my own children. Our DD drops him at 8:10 am and stays till 8:30. Eats at 9 (some cereal & a bottle)takes a nap till 11 eats at 12(4ozs of diluted apple juice) at 1 pm he gets bottle) sleep from 2pm to 3 or 3:30. He's such a sweet kid and a really happy disposition. We're thinking if he stays like this may we'll take him for 2 years if we can get someone to fill in when we want to vacation.

We have decided to go to Florida for the winter starting in Jan 2009. I'd like to go to Costa Rico or Mexico but DW is against leaving the USof A. So we'll be hunting for lodgings next year. I think we'll be smarter to buy than rent for three months.

I start physical therapy on my torn rotator cuff. It isn't any fun. Talked with a realtor about selling Mom & Dad's house. Lived there for 27 years, lots of memories.

Flying to Tampa on the 6th to find a place for my uncle who is living in the house now, for some reason he thought I'd let him live there rent free for the rest of his life. The world is such a hard place, at least to him. :scared1: :cheer2: :dance3:
