My spouse is on the WARPATH....

coulter_shooting_gun.jpg

SO I'm gonna fade away for a while til she cools her jets. The kids spilled the vacume cleaner contents and she's not impressed ... to say the least. And now she says the vaccume cleaner is broken,.... wait a minute ... let me see what I can do ... IF she'll ask me politely.... :confused3

The banner on the top of my morning newspaper reads as follows:

GETTING THE GOLD

"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" captures Memorial Day record.

About time Pirates is not in the shadow of Spiderman 3. Just heard on the radio the movie World Wide made $451 million dollars which sets a new record!!!!!

Wow !!! what can I say ...It was a wild weekend here in Vegas ...But I first wanna say I want to thank my Sweet Melissa for helping me everyday with makeup and such and also to thank the great Management and Staff at the Red Rock Stations Regal Cinema , they were great in everyway ....Now on to the details ..

When we got home the last night the nieghbors were having a little pool party and the DW and DS were there so we stopped over there ...here is a couple of pics from that ...

All in all it was a good weekend ...Im extremely exhausted but well worth it ....we raised over 1300.00 dollars and that all goes to the charity ...not bad considering that it was a dollar a picture , though some people would leave a little more ...It was there #1 fund raiser that they have ever had at the theater and they were more then thankful ....Anyway ...Hope you enjoyed my little report ...Oh and by the way ..Yes I had to deal with some crying kids ...ST'S and women including older women grouping me ...LOL

Take What you Can !!!!! Give Nothing Back !!!!

pirate:

Todd you were a GREAT CJS!!! What a great fund raiser!!!! :cool1: Tell Melissa she did a great job on the make-up. :thumbsup2 I think my favorite picture was you in the neighborhood. You look more like CJS than the real CJS.:woohoo:

then there was another posting where the person made palo's
res. 105 days out? i thought it was 90 days?....wondering if there
going to be hard to get on this cruise? [3am-seem awful early to me]

....my lil'cutie in charge of our arangments, however, we are going
to try letting our older sons "do" more things based on their preferences.
i have no ideas over the panama canal..except "we" were excited when
we heard about this cruise. iam wondering if they 're doing any those
pirates adventure & would our stinky teens be interested?

I do believe the 105 day out is for CAT 1,2, 3,or levels. :cool1: The 90 is for the CC(castaway club) members :thumbsup2 and the 75 is just for the first timers.:sad2: I am going to get cable hook-up next year so my computer is not so slow. We had a really hard time booking last year as there was trouble on the DCL site. What a surprise.:rolleyes1

How old will your stinky teens be by the time we cruise???:confused3

mod2.gif

Well...

... spilling the vac contents was not my fault, and I hardly got a word of thanks for fixin' the vac for her. But shes' wandering around stopping her little feet still. The kids are safely in their bedroom on a edutainment program featuring musical things. And me... I'm here while I multi-task on a couple other issues of interest to me....

Shhhhhh!!!!!! Ther are some of us who for circumstances beyond our control did not get to see POC yet.

Better hurry!!!!:goodvibes

I did ...and you can bet this flag will be hanging off of my balcony during the PC cruise ....LOL

pirate:

Okay tried to get into link but the Dis Boasrd will not let me open it. What is the flag?????????:confused3 :confused3 I can't wait til next year!!!!!!! :headache:

I've asked Helen and she confirms that it was extremly insulting.:)

David :rolleyes1

Tell Helen for the first time I am speechless. This might be the first time I have no opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rolleyes1

Hello! We are booked on this cruise as well. There are 4 of us...myself, husband, DD age 12 (now) and DS age 9 (now). I sent an email to the address on the first page, but haven't heard anything back. We took our first Disney Cruise on March 24, 2007 on the Magic and are hooked. We had an amazing time. We are really looking forward to the trip. We would also like to get the kids connected with some friends ahead of time. :wizard:

This one is good as well http://allearsnet.com/blogs/debwills/ and http://schiffyinthemed.blogspot.com/. Am I the only one feeling the ship rocking thru out these reports? It seems the one common thread is the rough sailing:scared1:

Todd, I LOVED the pics.
I am really tired and my feet haven't yet thawed out from the frigid temps at work. Ketch ya all tomorrow................Nite

Thanks for the links Arlene. I will check them out tomorrow!!!

It was his personal pirate flag flying on his "ship" pirate:

Thanks Brack. :grouphug: I missed the flag.:confused3 It was killing me not to know!!!:lmao:

potc_002.gif

They're gonna have the rumor mills aflame pretty soon if so. I thought this edition of POTC was pretty good. A shade long but the enthusiasm in the crowd here was strong. Applause and lots of folks in pirate attire - but nothing like having Todd in Vegas.

So you think the soonest they would bring out another POTC edition is 2009? I think they'll try and spring one on us in 2008! Unless you think it cannot be done that quick.

It cannot be done in the time frame that you are talking about cause Johnny Depp is currently filming a new Movie then he has committed to 2 others after that ....thats why it will be 2010 or 11 before anything about Pirates is ready to debut in a theater ...

RATS!

I don't think the flag means anything to the quest but Todd might have an idea. :confused3

If anyone who has seen the film there is a part in there where they raise the colors ...All the different Pirate Flags...Every Pirate has there own colors ...so at the end CJS had his own .....Here is Captain Jack Sparrows flag ..

This picture is actually from the El Capitan , where alot of the Props and Movie stuff was on Display for the Marathon ...this is the actual flag from the Movie ..

Welcome aboard!!!!

You're in for a real treat with this gang! Be sure to look into the update summaries on the first page. And just join in! I see you're only on your 3rd posting with your intro here! Welcome aboard indeed does apply here!

So if I may be so bold... may I ask if you've sailed before on any other cruise lines? And have you considered replying to my latest 7 question survey? <chuckles>

Here is a LINK in the quote below. See that little tiny bluish box/button with the chevron pointing right -> It looks like this ... > and clicking it will take you back to the orginal posting. Now at the bottom is a oval QUOTE button... click that to quote from that and respond away....

Very cool Todd! You should have a smaller version outside your stateroom door too. That way all who pass will know it's the Captain's quarters!

Glad to see you join our ranks. Lisa (lbgraves) is who you emailed your information to and she will forward it to the swabbies and wenches that are putting our website together. Once it is up and running the kids will be able to get connected. By the way we have a DD12 (now) and there are several other kids of that age range. Again read through the 1st page information and jump in and let us know a little about your family. We really are a friendly group for pirates that is. Oh and we all like :cake:!

Cute! I think I can afford this!!

Does anyone have any preference on camcorders????? I am interested in buying one(not too high tech) by June 9th(my neice graduates high school and I want to have in on video as proof!!!!!)

Karen

Well it depends on how you define "high tech". A regular DV tape camera would be fine but if you want to share the video via DVD or computer, well then you have to deal with converting from DV to computer format.

The miniDVD camcorders (I have one) cut out the tape step but the discs only hold about 20-30 minutes of video. The nicety is that you can copy the video to your computer, use video editing software and create a full-scale movie with titles, fades, transistions etc. ie Perfect of OCD DISfreaks! But, this type of camera is more expensive than the DV camera and you'd have to bring plenty of discs on the TOAL. I plan on bringing 5-6 discs for each day of travel.

The newer hard drive camcorders take away the time limit of the miniDVD units. You can record HOURS of video and copy the video files to your computer just like attaching an external hard drive. The problem is these cameras are more costly than the other two styles.

I know I mentioned that i have a gmail account but, what I didn't mention was the fact that I don't know how to seperate the mail into folders. On AOL at the bottom of each email there is a button that says *save* and then I can put that email into any folder (on AOL or on my computer) that I want to! It is GREAT!

You can't. GMail doesn't offer user-created folders like other email services. The only folders you'll have are the ones that GMail provides. Their philosopy is that you don't need to get rid of mail what with the 2Gb they give you. Plus, if you want to organize, you can use the star flag or add a tag to your mail. Plus, it makes searching mail faster. Now given that, there are some GMail hack tools you can use to make it more, uh, useful or condusive to your needs.

You do have to tolerate the plastic having extremely poor clearity. SO what I actually do is use it as a water resistant case. And when I take shots I open it and slip the camera out enough to handle it. And I only do this when I know I'll be close to the water or it's raining.

I do plan on eventually getting a true underwater hard case... as I am following one listing on ebay now...

for my...

SD300-top.jpg

 DW would say your first problem is using Crappy Canon and no amount of help is going to overcome that!

I'm sorry, but swabbies don't give sword advice, that's for the wenches....:rotfl:

Swabbies, no....swishies, yep! :thumbsup2  Oh my, did I type that out loud? :sad2: :rolleyes1

Get yer PC hackles back in check, only meant as a friendly jest! pirate:

Big, stinky socks.

Welcome to the DIS! And welcome aboard the TOAL!!!!!

Good for you for reading the first post! You only have 61,000 +/- to go!

First things first...since you're joining Team Wenches (by default) is your DH going to join us too? Does he like hooking...if so there's a spot on the rugby team for him  Can either of you run a blender? Or at least make an ice run? Will either of your kids be willing to babysit in a stateroom to earn port call spending cash?

And most important of all.......did you get a room assignment? pirate: :stir:

Julie - Julie - Julie ....

.... I freely admit that "I" know nothing about these silly expensive tennis shoes. AND what my spouse knows about them is not known to me... except I have my charming sister in law to thank for her interest in them.

Crash continues with a truly lovely missive supporting us the way we are.

Thanks for the comments on the Masi emulating insights for MBTs. I'll pass them along to my spouse and google it (eventually - as Tom is still waiting for an image). And maybe I'll remind her that the cellulite and other considerations which are addressed by MBTs are NOT an issue with her. IMHO. Not now... and not EVER.

 I thought you were going to be offering mammograms! Did you get things a bit backwards??

That's funny. My wife made some comment about only having, umm, relations once every ten years and I said "Well, he's married, so that's probably about right, isn't it?"

Can you post the picture of your face today with the two black eyes and broken nose, please?

:rotfl: :rotfl:   :rotfl: :rotfl:

Odd, I thought it was ARR-REGANO?

:lmao: :lmao: That's funny you should submit it to the pirate joke website.
(what? You think I come up with all these bad jokes??!!!)

No, that's what they pick up in little baggies in Cartagena

WELCOME ABOARD!!

We're a bit of a nutty crew, but friendly. Jump right in the waters fine!

Oh, Pete??

Did we ever settle on the date for the mini-meet at WDW in late Aug? It was being discussed when I was overcome by real life and disappeared for a bit.

Thanks!

Just a heads up friends...

... think about HOW you got your cabin reservation for a moment... Andy just gave up his cabin and the family tying to get it had it siezed and simply cancelled by DCL IC when all of the original names were removed. They want the "hot" cabin back - I presume to resell at top dollar or to compensate for having over-booked the voyage.

BE CAREFUL about how your reservation is to be handled - IF your TA "found" the cabin for you. I have 8 or so cabins in my group and a few may be ... at risk. Our deposit money is correct and true - but I am milidly concerned. I am assured we will not have a problem - but keep your mouse ears to the ground on this. I for one would be severely pissed if we lost any of our cabins. Not to blame anyone, of course... including DCL... but I am watching this intensely... If anyone learns of anything useful toknow in managing these ressies - please PM me or post diplomatically here...
