Cute! I think I can afford this!!
Does anyone have any preference on camcorders????? I am interested in buying one(not too high tech) by June 9th(my neice graduates high school and I want to have in on video as proof!!!!!)
Karen
Well it depends on how you define "high tech". A regular DV tape camera would be fine but if you want to share the video via DVD or computer, well then you have to deal with converting from DV to computer format.
The miniDVD camcorders (I have one) cut out the tape step but the discs only hold about 20-30 minutes of video. The nicety is that you can copy the video to your computer, use video editing software and create a full-scale movie with titles, fades, transistions etc. ie Perfect of OCD DISfreaks!

But, this type of camera is more expensive than the DV camera and you'd have to bring plenty of discs on the TOAL. I plan on bringing 5-6 discs for each day of travel.
The newer hard drive camcorders take away the time limit of the miniDVD units. You can record HOURS of video and copy the video files to your computer just like attaching an external hard drive. The problem is these cameras are more costly than the other two styles.
I know I mentioned that i have a gmail account but, what I didn't mention was the fact that I don't know how to seperate the mail into folders. On AOL at the bottom of each email there is a button that says *save* and then I can put that email into any folder (on AOL or on my computer) that I want to! It is GREAT!
You can't. GMail doesn't offer user-created folders like other email services. The only folders you'll have are the ones that GMail provides. Their philosopy is that you don't need to get rid of mail what with the 2Gb they give you. Plus, if you want to organize, you can use the star flag or add a tag to your mail. Plus, it makes searching mail faster. Now given that, there are some GMail hack tools you can use to make it more, uh, useful or condusive to your needs.
You do have to tolerate the plastic having extremely poor clearity. SO what I actually do is use it as a water resistant case. And when I take shots I open it and slip the camera out enough to handle it. And I only do this when I know I'll be close to the water or it's raining.
I do plan on eventually getting a true underwater hard case... as I am following one listing on ebay now...

DW would say your first problem is using Crappy Canon and no amount of help is going to overcome that!
I'm sorry, but swabbies don't give sword advice, that's for the wenches....
Swabbies, no....swishies, yep!

Oh my, did I type that out loud?
Get yer PC hackles back in check, only meant as a friendly jest!
Big, stinky socks.
Hello! We are booked on this cruise as well. There are 4 of us...myself, husband, DD age 12 (now) and DS age 9 (now). I sent an email to the address on the first page, but haven't heard anything back. We took our first Disney Cruise on March 24, 2007 on the Magic and are hooked. We had an amazing time. We are really looking forward to the trip. We would also like to get the kids connected with some friends ahead of time.
Welcome to the DIS! And welcome aboard the TOAL!!!!!
Good for you for reading the first post! You only have 61,000 +/- to go!
First things first...since you're joining Team Wenches (by default) is your DH going to join us too? Does he like hooking...if so there's a spot on the rugby team for him

Can either of you run a blender? Or at least make an ice run? Will either of your kids be willing to babysit in a stateroom to earn port call spending cash?
And most important of all.......did you get a room assignment?
