My hips are killing me this morning, but I knew that was coming - the rest of me is just pleasantly sore. I'd do it again. Hmmmm, the Danskin Women's Tri at WDW is shorter than the one I finished yesterday....

Well since you're in such excellent shape and only your hips hurt, you can come down and mow my lawn! :lmao:

I was a wreck after mowing the lawn this w/e! It was the first time that grass had been cut since last spring probably! About 9" deep in some areas and wet too! :sad1:

But I gotta give props to Honda! After 3+ years in storage, 2 interstate moves and spending all winter in the garage all I did was put gas in the mower, checked the oil and it fired up on the 2nd pull! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

But the hard part is over, the grass is at a manegable length so the next mowing should be easier. I just feel for the trash guy having to haul those clippings away today.

BTW Congrats on finishing the Tri!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: The bike ride I could probably handle...over the course of 2 days  but doing it all at one time?!?! :faint:

I think it would be nearly impossible to not have fun but you would have to be the type who is willing to roll (pardon the pun) with the punches. I know on our 1st 7-day, my kids were disappointed early on b/c the pools were closed a lot (this was the cruise right after the one that was cancelled due to Norwalk and DCL was being extra careful with the pools), but once they found other things to do, they were ok.

You'd definitely have to go into the transatlantic with a different idea of what the cruise will be like.

And then, you really have to go into this cruise with a whole 'nother idea....

J.R. - I've never run 10K in my life!!! I hate running! Running is evil. The run part of this race was 4.1 miles - 2-ish miles shorter than 10K.

I really want to get back into running. It was the best stress reliever I ever had. I'd put on my headphones, fire up my cassette walkman
[*] and go out and do 2-3 miles each night.

[*] For those young folk, a cassette walkman was a device, kind of like an MP3 player that held 30-120 minutes of music on a single tape cassette.
[*] For the older folk, a cassette walkman was like a portable phono player that instead of using vinyl records and needles, used a type of recording tape.

(Thanks Andy) Gotta pirate: this! Happy B'day from me too!

How would people know the difference?? :lmao:

(Sorry, Tom, I believe it was expected by all that someone say this, and well, it had to be me...)

Now the tough dilemma I have is the guy moderating my group is a gun totin', uniformed Sherrif Officer from Frederick ....

Do I ask him if its true that this place is really called Fredneck.

(not sure if he was driving a pickup truck tho....)

The times we had in SF were truly wonderful and memorable. Well... that is with the possible exception of Uncle Tom (me) having my 3 YO niece trip and get a quarter sized subdermal hematoma on her forehead. I brought the kids into a vacant meeting room at the St Francis to run around a couple minutes thinking... "what could go wrong in a nearly empty 3000 square foot space? Well... my niece tripped and hit her head on a chair leg from a stack of chairs (the solitary stack of chairs in the room!!!). She survived - however... for a couple hours I was getting a hollow feeling in my stomach while I waited to see if she developeed any symptoms of a more serious head injury. None emerged - and last I heard she was still alive - so seems well. <eyes rolling with chuckles>.

A few were rumored to be running in a near naked state - which I imagine is likely in a city with the ruputation SF seemes to have - but we saw nothing of the sort.

First of all, who spends money to stay in Lompoc??! :lmao: I mean, if you're not a guest of the "Federal Country Club" or at least visiting someone there, why bother? Last I saw, Lompoc was a bigger boil on the butt of California than Torrance! :teeth:

Glad DNiece is okay...DS did some sort of spin/dive/jump/Crouching-tiger-hidden-dragon move and smacked his forehead on the coffee table once :scared1: Big angry looking knot swelled up in about 3 minutes! :headache: It was so bad I really thought about taking him to the newly opened hospital in the area. Swelling was gone the next morning and he was back at it again :goodvibes

Love the Westin St. Francis! Stayed there for NYE once...never again!! Not the hote, SF on NYE... Oy! What a madhouse!!! I think Las Vegas was a little more tame than SF! And let me tell you, trying to negotiate those hills after a celebratory glass of bubbly or 2 or 3 isn't easy! Plenty of police presense but that didn't stop the occasional streaker!

More your Larry Grayson perhaps !!

Goodnight and all the best for tomorrow.

Best wishes

David
Jon Barrowman ( Larry was funny!)

Oh -- that was you!!!!!!!!!! Sorry and nevermind . . . .
Yes me waiting for you! Had to go to the cake shop for a TART.

Good night -- and don't be so defensive -- I'm sure David would not have misinterpreted!!!!!!

Let me know what they say tomorrow about the MRI (if they find your brain) -- although quite often you just have the procedure and wait to see the doctor to get the results.

Rest up and dream of Majorca!
Thanks see below.

Rumour has it that he had to pay a search fee up front.

David
YES

Does he get the money back if they can't find the brain?
FULL REFUND + 10% SEARCH FEE.

It would take a good detective to find that one !!

Just to point out that at the time of writing he's still on line and probably reading this.

David
DREAMING or NIGHTMARE!

It wouldn't be any fun if he wasn't reading it, now would it??????
and I am doing KETCHUP!
Sorry to keep sending my bad weather your way. Sounds like you have my luck too.
That was tooo funny Lisa. Thanks for posting it.
Your looks a lot better than mine!!! :thumbsup2 Did you make yours???:
loved it!!!!!:
Is the Thera-gesic not helping too much Andy??? It has been cold and rainy today. We had a slight frost and have been busy replacing some of myt 350 floers I planted.
I think it could be the magnet we made for you??? Does it say David and Helen????? We only did those for a few people we liked. John says no more next cruise. He spent hours making magnets.
I don't think so!!!! I do hope you are feeling better.
Is that okay with you???????

David I really do not think our langauage is so common!!!!:
Thanks for supporting me against them two!
Hear Hear now - Andrew - are you calling the kettle black? Or is it the pot black?

Since Dear old Andrew has departed - and I am in between here's what happened.

ANDREW (See - its always ANDREW! ) just recently introducted a pirate: run on our Med Cruise coming up on 7/28. As some people are not familiar with a pirate: we have slightly different rules - plus we USED (emphasize on USED ;) ) to run slower - our major pirates are 500 and 1000 Right Andrew?

Anyway, I was a bit off since I couldn't get on last night, so I  fluff posted (me? Laura NEVER!!!) an entire page to myself bringing me to within 15 posts of a major pirate: When I realized it was just Andrew and I, I tried to get him to admit to an ASSISTED pirate: . Nothing doing! :sad2: - with just ANDREW and I (:headache: ) on board - AHEM....seems his "CHILDREN" snuck in there (we really need a sneaky icon here!!!) and stole the 3000 pirate: :lmao: :lmao:

I tell you all - your all right in blaming ANDREW!!!!!! Its his fault!

I'm just miffed that I didn't think of opening the 2nd laptop and having it ready.

 Oh oh - did I just implant an idea?

Anyway, it was all in good fun - I got my entire page to myself on that thread - which BTW - is a lot harder to do when your striving for it. :rotfl2: (See that's one of my 'quirky quirks' - impulsive to a point! )

In the process, I'm sure we both created a monster - we shall see in the next pirate: run.

In the meantime, I was just doing what I learned on THIS THREAD!

TAKE WHAT YOU CAN......GIVE NOTHING BACK!!!! ARGHHHHH pirate:
:thumbsup2
We get that "Declare War on the British" one in July... Then nothing till Sept.
:scared1:
First of all, no one on THIS thread would ever post fluff! :lmao:

Nevermind....

Wouldn't they ??

David
FLUFF ALERT

Just read this online. Pretty sad for those of us who appreciate history.

"Fire today ravaged the Cutty Sark, turning the 19th century tea clipper and one of Britain's most important maritime treasures, into a blackened wreck."

http://arts.guardian.co.uk/art/news/story/0,,2084536,00.html

A lot of the original planking and artifacts had already been removed as part of a restoration, so hopefully they can still restore most of it. They are saying the iron structure appears to be mostly intact.

Its very bad, woke up to that very sad.:guilty: :sad2:

How was your MRI today??????????

Thank you for asking it went well, I have the images in the boot of my car to take to the specialist on Wednesday so I will find out the results then.

They did a few extra images that was a concern after she said one would be the last.

Where do you like your feathers?

slide_02_fluff.jpg

That picture would be perfect if there were a jar of fluff in it somewhere.

(There is, you say? Sorry, I didn't see it the first time).

Sometimes I think they don't realize the impact of a tossed off comment -- "this should be the last" and then it's not -- probably nothing but now you have to worry about it until Wednesday! So they did at least manage to find your brain -- was it in the upper fifth of your body, at least?

I wouldn't worry. She probably just wanted to get your better side.

It's when they say "wow, I've never seen anything like that before" that you start to worry.
