Spent 3 Disney Reward Dollars yesterday to have our Central AC and Furnace serviced for the year. Wake up this morning to chilly house 53* and turned the furnace on. The blower fan came on but not the burner. A serviceman will be here within the hour to see what the problem is.
I get to work figuring I can warm up in my work car, the heater in my work car is not working, so now I have to drop my work car off to the mechanic. I think the thermostat in the car is not working as the gauge did not move up at all this morning.
Did I mention, this morning started off with dropping my ST at school giving me an attitude? Then on the way home, from dropping ST off, I was nearly in an accident. I feel like climbing back into bed and hiding under the covers the rest of the day..........
Oh, the serviceman just called back, he is on his way here now, Hazel will be happy!!!

I have heard of that happening. It really is very easy to do when you are entering the prices. Worst thing that one of my employees did was change the price sign, but forgot to raise inside. I told her she cost me $400 but I really didn't get mad over it. That is why they are accidents. Now if that station had that problem for a day and they had an average volume of 3000 regular gallons at 2.50 ($7500) and they only collected .25 ($750) a loss of $6750. I would have called my insurance. Hopefully a customer notified them and it didn't last very long.
Retailers and consumers in all areas end up paying for all of those reward programs. I would have to say that it hurts fuel marketers the worst because at that level we have slim margins and basically operate on pennies to stay competitive
I mean Shell vs. Philips 66 or Conoco or Chevron. And not just stations that aren't within visual sight of each other, or across an intersection where people might not want to take the extra 3 minutes to go around...I'm talking right next door to each other! I've gotten thru two reports, some paperwork for a bunch of stuff that gets shipped on Monday, some e-mail and past due filing. I could hear the mice outside the door wondering if they should knock or barge in. Those who were smart just shoved what needed my attention under the door. I also got a number of e-mails asking when I was going to be off the phone. I feel like climbing back into bed and hiding under the covers the rest of the day..........

Riddle me this: How is it that some gas stations--within 100 yards of another--will have prices that are 20¢ higher across the board than a nearby competetor yet still have several costomers? I don't mean Shell vs. Fly-by-night whose gas is made from fresh-squeezed diapers
Here we have 3 gas stations on 4 corners and 2 can be one price and the 3rd is way higher. I've actually lucked out a couple of times and gotten gas at a lower price as a station employee was changing the sign!
Apparently some kids were misbehaving before she decided to tell them the story.
I have a call into the principal but haven't heard back. If I don't get a call back today, the principal will see me in her office Monday morning -- just on principle (pun intended) of her not calling back.
