8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 13

YEAH YEAH YEAH We are officially booked on the cruise now!!!!!! I just wanted to share that with everyone! I was so excited to log into DCL and see our names there!!! Thank You Andy!!!!!

Well I am off to bed, we are going to the Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mt. Georgia tomorrow. I've never been but it looks like alot of fun! http://www.animalsafari.com You get to feed and pet all kinds of animals. I think Mac will really love it.

Enjoy Disneyland.

It was nice Andrew...

... the drive was actually a bit of a pain - but the spouse and kids slept some of the way and my reward was their happiness at the park and after we left. We did not do many rides - but that's OK. More of less the rides the 2 girls wanted and got were Star Tours, Jet Stream (?), Tea Cups, Carasol, Peter Pan, Dumbo (2x), Space Mountain and an extended visit to the imagination exhibit in tomorrow land. This was actually an unhurried pace for us and the lines were managable even though the crowds were ... typical. We waited til the late evening to hit the popular rides and took a leisurely dinner + long visit to the imagination exhibit during the peak of the evening. So... at 11:10PM Space Mountain was only a 20 minute wait and my spouse took the little one on Dumbo twice in that time frame. I think the longest wait was for Peter Pan at over 30 minutes.

In a few weeks our annual passes are gonna be blacked out for the summer - so we're trying to squeeze in a few visits before we enter the "lull". I think in June we're gonna take vacation days to over nite by the park just before the black out begins.

In spite of the animation I've posted ... the kids did not want to run to watch fireworks tonight... and for an unusal change of pace we did not take in a parade. The evening was cool but otherwise a beautiful evening to do DL. I was dressed light and the kids had a moderate bundling to ward off the light chill.

Subject: MOTHER'S DAY STORY

So, we had this great 10 year old cat named Jack who just recently died. Jack was a great cat and the kids would carry him around and sit on him and nothing ever bothered him. He used to hang out and nap all day long on his mat in our bathroom.

Well we have 3 kids and at the time of this story they were 4 years old, 3 years old and 1 year old. The middle one is Eli. Eli really loves chapstick. LOVES it. He kept asking to use my chapstick and then losing it. So finally one day I showed him where in the bathroom I keep my chapstick and how he could use it whenever he wanted to but he needed to put it right back in the drawer when he was done .

Last year on Mother's Day, we were having the typical rush around and try to get ready for Church with everyone crying and carrying on. My two boys are fighting over the toy in the cereal box. I am trying to nurse my little one at the same time I am putting on my make-up. Everything is a mess and everyone has long forgotten that this is a wonderful day to honor me and the amazing job that is motherhood.

We finally have the older one and and the baby loaded in the car and I am looking for Eli. I have searched everywhere and I finally rounded the corner to go into the bathroom. And there was Eli. He was applying my chapstick very carefully to Jack's . . . rear end. Eli looked right into my eyes and said "chapped." Now if you have a cat, you know that he is right--their little butts do look pretty chapped. And, frankly, Jack didn't seem to mind.

And the only question to really ask at that point was whether it was the FIRST time Eli had done that to the cat's behind or the hundredth.

And THAT is my favorite Mother's Day moment ever because it reminds us that no matter how hard we try to civilize these glorious little creatures, there will always be that day when you realize they've been using your chapstick on the cat's butt.

I am resting this weekend, as i have had very high blood pressure which has been causing headaches, my next trip is in two weeks when on Saturday 26th I will go to Majorca with the kids for a week.

... and on the headaches... do you take any aspertaine sweetened products regularly? I've heard there's research out suggesting a positive relationship between high aspertaine usage and migrane headaches.

Aside from that... I must say I've never had the pleasure of visiting Majorica before. I'll have to google it to gain an initial "impression"... though I'm guessing it has nice resorts, plesant sand and warm waters!?

Our next fling is SF next weekend for 4 nites. An inexpensive trip with no flying this time around. We're meeting a BIL from Boston, SIL, MIL & FIL from Honolulu for a mini-meet of my spouses' family. One BIL will be absent otherwise this would have included her entrie immediate family.

Thanks, I dropped having sugar when I was young and the only sweeter's would be in diet coke so i have dropped that and on decaf as well.

I am on the other side of the Island form the capital Palma, over the north east, at Pollensa, inland from Port Pollensa and Alcudia.

Hello Everyone!

Thank you all for the Birthday greetings!

We're all busy getting ready for my DD's Party. Johnna and I and the kids went out for sushi yesterday for my Birthday. I just love plum wine!

My rugby team made it to the National Division 1 Sweet sixteens in Columbia SC. I'm sad I can't be with them today. We'll see how they fare. First time for us in Div. 1 playoffs.

Hope everyone has a nice day. All of those going on the European Cruises enjoy your preparations. Have some Campari for me!

A little overcast today. Hope it doesn't rain while I'm out at the Port!

Just noticed onthe Cruise Board that she is sailing at 4pm and not 5 as I previously thought so I need to go a bit earlier. Hope tp get some pics and video. Just realized, I don't have any T s***t to wear other than my DCL. DH has a pirate one he will wear. He had a dream last night that the CG arrested us for trying to pirate the MAGIC. He never remembers his dreams.

I think they got that wrong, as far as I can see its the usual on onboard by 4pm for lifeboat drill and leave at 5pm, its only going to CC first and on our 2006 double dip it left at 5pm, so it can make that without problem.
