It's been a looong time since I have posted and I hope everyone is doing well.

Just wanted to let you guys know that this past Sunday New York Times has a special Summer Travel 2007 section.

There was a nice article on Cartagena.

If anyone is interested in it, PM me and I will send a copy of it.

Also agree with Cheryl - I hope Apolo wins - he's hot! :faint:

LOL - BTW - that isn't sick is it to have the hots for a younger guy? I mean the swabbies do it all the time, why not us??? I'd better stop now before the clothes get all wrinkled. Later - :wave2:

We are not dead are we Laura???  As long as we look and don't touch. That is my motto!!!:rolleyes1

I think someone fudged the numbers on Spiderman ...cause there were no lines at the theater we went to ....errrrr

pirate:

I just got word I might have to do the evening shows at 8:00pm. Thurday night. I think so far the movie looks like it might be on 7 to 9 screens. Looks like it could be one more screen than Spiderman 3. :woohoo:

Real quick trip report. Pics have not been edited yet, haven't even uploaded the 2nd camera. So those will come later.

We did not see the movie. We had the cheap seats, which meant we camped out on Main Street all day, just for a chance to see the stars walk the red carpet.

It was a blast. I'm still exhausted but we had a great time. We got autographs from Johnny, Orlando, Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Pryce (Gov Swann), Kevin McNally (Mr Gibbs), Chow Yun FatCap Sao Feng), Martin Klebba (Marty), David Schofield (Mr Mercer) all from the movie. Then we also got Christy Ramano (Kim Possible), Jon Voight, Wilmer Valderrama (That 70's Show), Ian Zierling (Dancing w/the Stars), Kim Smith (Victoria Secret model), Ricardo Chavira (Desparate Housewives), Mark Indelicato (Ugly Betty).....whew, that's all I can remember right now.

Got in line at 3:30am. There were already about 500 people ahead of us. Security opened at 5. We got in line for the farthest left turnstyle and were about 20 people back. When the gates opened at 6:30am, we grabbed our spot on Main Street directly in front of City Hall. We were about 30-40 feet from the beginning of the fans. Directly across from us were the main paparazzi set ups. Many of the photos you may have seen floating around were taken right in front of us. The stars did a long line of media, then came back to the beginning to greet the fans. There was a group of 7 of us. We were first and second rows behind the barriers.

It was a very long day and at one point I thought I was going to have to give up. I got so naseaus. Not sure why, maybe just the heat and the crowds. I took a break in City Hall and when Keith Richards was walking by, I headed back out. Fortunately we had a great group of people who were waiting with us all day long and they let me back in to the front.

Finally left the park about 8:45pm. Didn't get to sleep until 11:30pm. Then was woken up by fireworks at 11:45pm. I guess the movie had just ended. I'm sure it was great. I'll be seeing it on Thursday!!

Wow!!! Sounds like you had sooooooo much fun!!!:cloud9: Make sure you post everything!!!!!!:goodvibes

Yeup I'm back with the horrible Pirate Jokes. I think life will be a bit more settled for at least a week or two giving me time (I hope) to keep up with all y'all.

Sorry if this is a groundhog 'cause the Capt'n has already told you... I've given up on catching up - will just read the last 10 pges.

I've heard back from the printer (yeah, I forgot to contact him after our first discussion) tank tops are a "go", Pillow cases are a go provided we send them to him (I have source - so that's not a problem). And I'm looking into the possibility of hand dyed red shirts for those that just need something other than black or white. (Yes, yes, the Capt'n and I have discussed it - having red will NOT change the uniform of the day that we've already decided on. These would be extra.)

Oh, I've also asked the printer about kids shirts. I was thinking a large screen won't fit on kid sized shirts - so we'd need to have a second set of screens cut that are smaller to fit on the smaller shirts. He confirmed that we might want to do that - but wants to see the art work first.

I forgot to get the prices on the tanks and for screening stuff that we provide. :headache: As soon as I get that information I'll send out the oft discussed but never sent email survey asking for what you want to get. The printer would like numbers and timeframes. I told him our first order would probably be in the fall - (for Xmas delivery) so we have time on our side.

The Capt'n has provided a first draft of the artwork, and I've sent the printer the password to the FTP site to download it from. He's planning on doing a sample so we can see what is what.

And that the news. Yeah, I have't been around much - but I haven't forgotten this either. ;)

Spent the weekend with my grand daughter at Virginia Beach. Her parents are being moved to Jackson, Miss. :sad2:

OMG - she's gorgeous! You must be so proud - how old is she? What a sweetiepie :cutie:

Boy - these boards have sloowwwed down so much - must be a sign to get off.

Tom, be sure to have them call DCL and add the baby TBD to their resie ASAP!!! Congratulations on the addition to the family. :goodvibes

I mentioned that to them -

- however I expect they won't do anything until after their convention - plus my BIL is putting the finishing touches on his grant proposal which is due friday. So he's pretty busy this week. Thanks for the reminder though.

No, no
a_fluff_links.jpg

would just drive the post numbers up closer to a pirate: .

fluffing along

tomorrow i go on a field trip to a fun place with my dd's first grade class...hardly any chaperones...big open area, and lots and lots of kids! ugh!!!
