Have you tried a McDs in the south? GRITS are on their menu. Born and raised as a yankee, I was in serious shock on my first trip "south of the border".

Halibut McNuggets here (in season).

The McD's lobster roll in New England really bothers me.

Arlene...I've seen McDs grits in the Carolinas and Georgia. Guess there are too many yanks in Florida for it to count as the south.

When I lived in Tejas I noticed a few of the KFC locations had collard greens. The ones in the more, uh, "affluent" areas had green beans instead

I am there with you, I hate capri pants. I am tall so they look completely ridiculous on me!!! I either want shorts or pants, that in between stuff is just not for me!

And see, capri pants work great for a short stub like me....I can buy those and save a ton on alterations! They hit right where my slacks should hit.

The TA at DU said they could not do that.

I booked a cat 8 (I actually have a room number). After I booked I transfered to DU. After we went on our April 1st cruise I was kicking my self for not booking the cat 6 for the TOAL. When we got back I contacted DU to let them know I wanted to upgrade. They said no can do. I asked them to keep a look out for either a cancellation of a DU client or a someone who wanted to down grade. Again they said, no can do. They said they suspect DCL overbooked & they're taking all of the cancellations.

They suggested I contact DCL myself at the 90 day mark.

I should clarify. It would be hard for a large travel agency to keep on the lookout for that. What I was saying, and this may only apply to a "normal" cruise, and not a special one....was that if, for example, I am going to cancel, but I know someone who wants to go, I can tell my TA to give my room to that specific person, and they can do that...bypassing DCL altogether.

Thanks for the info! I have been thinking about maybe upgrading one cabin, now I know it's not likely.

Right now, with this cruise as fully booked as it is, it would be nearly impossible. But....once the cruise gets closer there will be a lot of people who will cancel and then the chances for upgrading will be much better.

I can take it. In my 25 years of parenting, I've won the Mean Mom award more than once.

When Jordan was saying "I'll take care of it...blah blah blah...." I DID ask her who she thought was going to be cleaning up its baby tinkle while she was at school, dance and work. I just got her big brown puppy dog eyes (hers, not the pup's) looking at me.

Ahh LG thank Pal!! Alas the lil O'Blender is certainly safe and sound and waiting for the TOAL! And at least the creepo didn't actually get the camera. You know what? Sometimes the fraud safeguards work just the way they're supposed to and the bad guys lose. I like that idea. Homeys.......you all should come to Captains Dining!!! I can't bear the thought that we won't all be on the same schedules. Well alright then, this will give us a chance to take shifts at Secret Deck 7......but you guys better come up there as soon as your dinner is done....you hear?????

I always come down at least once or twice to pay a visit to the early diners. And then I feel stupid floating around the room like the Queen of England....but oh well, I'm on vaca.

Had my mani this week too. Picked what I thought was a really pretty coral. It's orange. No, it's yuck. How embarrassing, and I have to look at it for two weeks.

They are advance selling tickets now at their box office (in person only though)for $9.25 each. (yes that's their regular non-matinee price but it's a nice new theatre)

i can get tickets for you and annette if you want. I was going to get mine before this weekend.
