Boy do I feel better about the pricing of this cruise.
I just got an email of "special deals" on Royal Caribbean. One of the cruises was a Panama Canal crossing that was 16 days. Using a comparable room I compared pricing. The RCCL cruise was only about $500.00 less than I paid for this cruise. The rooms and even the ship are not comparable at all.
I was very surprised (pleasantly :) ).

You mean RCL didn't sell out in one day?

Disney, when considering all the "magic" can be quite the bargain.

Storm Troopers following Darth Vader -- same colors as the Nazis & same types of actions as the Nazis blindly following Hitler.. I'll just take their word for it -- I've neve seen any of the Star Wars films. :rolleyes1

I then heard them discussing Roman History along with the Star Wars connection..... And the more you know about history.......

In case you couldn't tell I have a house of History Geeks. :rotfl: My father's degree is in History and I never hear them discussing this stuff with him! :confused3

History Geeks
Math Geeks
Photography Geeks
DIS Geeks
CJS Geeks
OCD Planning Geeks
E-mail Geeks

Anyone see a pattern here? :lmao:

On the left hand side in Gmail, you can create 'labels' that you can assign to email. Once you have created a "Label" (for example 'Friends'), you can use the "More actions..." to apply the label to e-mails. Then when you click on the Label in the Labels box, it will show only the mail you have labeled with the label. The cool thing is you can assign more than one label to a given e-mail, so it's better than folders that way.

And this post needs a "EMailGeek Alert" tag.

Thanks for the help!!!

My wife was just talking about some show this morning she recorded on Star Wars and history. Maybe the same thing.

I don't buy most of this myself -- I think you can pretty much draw parallels between any two stories if you try hard enough (and want to see it bad enough) like:

Hmmmm....

Does POC:COTBP fit here.....

Will Turner, orphan, living in the remote .....

WT is rescued by CJS, a pirate:....

CJS reveals that WT is the son of Bootstrap, a pirate:....

:lmao:

Hey! She needs to open her mind and give it a chance.... :lmao:

Her mind is open...to Nikon, Leica and Lumix! :thumbsup2 Lumix because they are made with Leica lenses and it turns out that Panasonic (Lumix) makes the electronics for all of Leica's digital cameras.

Would that mean that I live in a state that had the only openly swishy Governor?

Oh my, did I type that out loud? :sad2: :rolleyes1

Not going to touch that with a footlong sword!

Don't tell anyone if you did, it may evoke extreme jealousy and a long, groundhog discussion of what exactly GTY means.... :lmao:

Too late!!!!

Good for you for reading the first post! You only have 61,000 +/- to go!

First things first...since you're joining Team Wenches (by default) is your DH going to join us too? Does he like hooking...if so there's a spot on the rugby team for him Can either of you run a blender? Or at least make an ice run? Will either of your kids be willing to babysit in a stateroom to earn port call spending cash?

And most important of all.......did you get a room assignment?
__________________
I believe my DH will be joining us too. I'm not sure about the rugby. We need his income for all of our future cruises. Yes, we can run a blender and running for ice allows me to have an extra drink.:goodvibes My daughter might be willing to babysit for money. She is a very responsible 12 year old. Yes, we have a room assignment. Our TA did an amazing job of getting a last minute cabin. I believe he might have even pulled in a favor. Our room # is 1036. Last cruise was on 6070, so this will be a slightly different view. Oh well, we are just happy to have a cabin!

 Sweetie, I didn't mean for you to actually post your cabin number!

It's obvious you'll need some protection while you get to know this bunch... I suggest you listen to the sage and pithy advice of Tom31b, yargrnhoj and of course The Captain (DisneyVegas1).
 :lmao:  :lmao:

WOW! I bet the coloring is much prettier in real life.

Gotta ask, did it hurt? I am a real chicken-s*** when it comes to needles. I cannot imagine sitting still for a tattoo. Congrats to Angelina for what ever she did to earn it. Good grades I am guessing?

Yes, a very good school year, probably her best to date. Angelina said the outline of the tattoo wasn't all that bad, but when the shading in part was being done, she had tears rolling down her cheeks. She said it didn't hurt too much this morning. I got the job of rubbing the ointment over the tattoo this morning and her skin still felt quite warm to me. This was just done with a gray wash, no other colors will be added.

Well, congrats to Angelina (and to you for following through). This will serve as a reminder to me to be careful what I promise my kids for good grades. I got off easy having to buy them an XBOX 360 last year. This year, no promises were made (although I have to assume they are expecting something.

I had to go look up 'pithy' to see if you were insulting me or not. Still can't tell.

You might have been typing with a lisp.

When I first made the deal with Angelina her math grade was a 59 and in danger of failing math for the year, her current math grade is an 82 and last week we found out that she has now passed math for the year. To tell you the truth, I was sure this was one deal I had in the bag. So yes, be very careful what you promise your kids because you might have to pay up.

I was wondering about that! Your a good Dad to follow through with your promise!

WELCOME ABOARD!!

We're a bit of a nutty crew, but friendly. Jump right in the waters fine!

Oh, Pete??

Did we ever settle on the date for the mini-meet at WDW in late Aug? It was being discussed when I was overcome by real life and disappeared for a bit.

Thanks!

Esteri!

I'd like to plan the mini-meet for Saturday August 25, 2007 at poolside at the DVC Villas at the Wilderness Lodge. I'm just waiting for my DBIL to book his trip as they need to leave by August 26th to be back in NYC. His DD is starting High School and needs to be back by then.:)

Funny you should ask, I'm either going to be known as The Coolest Dad or The Biggest Fool. Anyhow here it is: Back early in the school year I made a deal with Angelina, something we have done several times in the past, but not to this extent. Well, Angelina kept her part of the bargain and since I am a dad of my word, I did as well. Last evening, I still shutter at the thought, we took Angelina to get her reward and I am adding a pic of it below.

Now, it's time to get my ST up so she can get ready for school.

Slap me thrice and hand me to my Mama!

I vote coolest Dad!

You're proving to your ST that ...

... you're a man of your word. And that it's important to let them win ..... ocassionally. I imagine when my girls get older they will "negotiate" as well for "who knows what." I may have something similar or ... potentially something more imaginative. Frankly, I've thought about getting a tattoo too. However, I have not gone so far as to price it yet. I do think that these things are a sign of the times and relativly mainstream in some ways. And ... it seems they can remove these things too ... somehow.

At any rate, it looks very nice. I would probably gone for one of those lightning bolt like things going around my upper arm if only for the fact my muscle up there is pretty whimpy! <chuckles>

Relax Dad.... it's reversible if desired in the years to come....

And you're now officially ....

w_cool_dad_sml.jpg

And Andy...

... just you remember, lets' not get carried away with this "cool Dad" thing....

Nah, I still think he was talking with a lisp. I have said some pretty pithy things in the past.
